Too bad NONE of the new equipment ordered has shown up from the US. At least after 15 years Taiwan will have a submarine.
One can always speculate that more could have been done but on balance IMO Taiwan has kept up with the PLA threat. Hopefully Taiwan's defenses won't ever have to prove itself but personally I don't think that the PLA can mount a credible invasion threat and that's based only on publicly available information and a bit of guesswork what may not be publicized but is reasonable.
