    I watch at least 1 or 2 of your videos every evening. One of my favorite CZcams channels! Keep up the great work! What I love most about your videos is that you show all of the difficulties you have and how to fix them. A lot of other channels guys will just leave those parts out. So it looks like a trouble free install. As you know that's not real life.

    To fix bad fit in the rubber holders you can put 1.5 inch piece of silicon hose on the brackets.
    Silicon hose can withstand the temperatures and it makes a snug fit. Just make sure you have the hose not all the way, so that there is a bulge at the end.

    I'm a total fan of ebay turboback on Subarus. They are most than proven to work.
    Brian you'll provably have some issues on those welded clips, because this does not have the oval/spring joint, but they don't really help that much, because these aftermarket exhausts are so light.
    Great mod!

    hi i have been following some of your youtube vids, i have a 2003 GDB V8 Subaru wrx Sti. I did abit of research online and people had abit to say about installing a new exhaust. Is it safe for to me to put a new cat back exhaust with a catted down pipe OR straight downpipe without having the car tuned.Most say the cattless downpipe, a BOV and aftermarket air intake requires a tune. Whats your opinion on the matter.

  • @fujitsubo3323
    @fujitsubo3323 Před 4 lety

    i know its an old video but how did you end up going with the car after adding the exhaust, did you get a tune. i had one a long time ago that i put a full turbo back exhaust on but after that i got it tuned straight away. without a tune it was getting massive amounts of boost creep. i watched the boost gauge rise to nearly 20psi from the stock 14 just on the drive to the dyno. i recently got back into subarus and into a bugeye wagon and im looking to do the exhaust again. i think im gonna get it tuned straight away again lol. also i got an auto this time around and i love it more then the manual.

    the bellmouth on the new one will get full of carbon, etc and fill those gaps. it has miles better flow compared to the OEM, but with that said, your back pressure will change, and you will need to put a cobb stage 2 or open source tune on it. flex joint is a nice touch. use rubber strap hangers or aftermarket hangers to fine tune the exhaust angle. new mounts will keep the pipes from rattling on the frame, etc when going over bumps. again, it's catless, so tuning is a must! check your AFR's, EGT's etc and make sure everything is correct, otherwise you'll have a dead engine with a new exhaust. :)
