DemolitionRanch regular
DemolitionRanch regular
I died laughing at the target color thing and your reaction LOL
One must have target color in a competition setting.
Glad he even addressed it. It was funny tho.
Dude so did i
Same lol
It’s sad we even have to think that way about it or even address it…
17:17 love how they said “go sit in your trucks” instead of cars lmao
It is Texas. They don't have cars there.
In California they say "Go sit in your prius"
It's Texas mate HAHA
6:11 lmao lmao I know you're not racist but your face reaction was so funny lmao
Really wasn't that funny bro
@@oOcorridosOo yes it was
@@oOcorridosOo lmao it was
Lmfao “it is what it is, i didnt make the rules” had me dying
I enjoy these competition videos! If you get too many people saying they don't enjoy these videos. Then make another channel! Competition Ranch!
That's a genuine thing to think about!
CrazerWolf yeah make a whole channel for 2 videos
Idiot
Daz - It would appear you're forgetting or not even thinking about the possibility of future competitions.
Daz - You sir are a Goof.
CrazerWolf lol
i like both regular videos and competitions, you did great, you should be proud! Definitely do more
Ryan Keegan I will like more comitisions
Yeah do more videos like this. Good Job Matt, I really felt I was there with you the whole time rooting for yuh. Good job to you and Your Camera Guy. Make more videos like this. We believe in you Matt!
I love watching somebody that isn't the best at something for once
I really appreciate you taking the time to make this
It takes balls to join in on one of them competitions and I have to say, you sir are a legend for keep trying. The guys you were competing against live and breathe guns and black powder and have done countless matches. To be even NEAR the 50% of all them guys is an incredible result. Once you have done 10 competitions, things will be already a lot different then now. Well done Matt.
O PC, I concur, I have been wanting to try this. I was nervous before watching now, I need more practice. wow!
And that is really what it comes down to. Get a Gun you are comfortable with and set up similar targets where shifting positions feels natural. Most everybody can shoot and hit well when stationary. Once you put movements into the shooting, things change drastically. It becomes an art where split seconds make all the difference. Not even counting in the nervous limbs that make you miss twice as much.
I think it helps the most, when you are really convinced your gear wont let you down and your skill is reliable.
Nothing will make you more nervous than doubts. What helps me the most is lifting a few heavy weights before shooting. You are so relaxed and nicely warmed up, it feels great to shoot, just don't be worn out :P
Mad props on that crazy 500 yard hit. You may not have come in the top 50 but damn you did well!
The British Patriot true

Sorry about that, however, my comment doesn't even have that many likes compared to others so I don't know how you came across it so quickly... Pro-tip: watch the video first before scrolling through the comments section.
who the fuck cruises the comments before watching the video.
you ruined it for yourself you moron.
Who the hell reads comments before they watch a video? That's your dumbass problem.
Ive watched a lot of your vids now. You're very entertaining to watch and i love the irreverently fun yet, knowledgeably informative style of your channel. You're editing and quality of production are excellent. Additionally, you're quite a likable and charming personality. It's remarkable that for mostly being a one man cast and crew, with exceptions you are able to hold the viewers attention as long as you did my own. Bottom line, you're great. You've got a genuine talent for doing what you do.
This episode was among my favorite simply because of the drama inherent in the arc of the competition story. I found myself caring about you doing well in the competition and rooting for you. That's very good! One thing that could make this kinda episode even better still might be to have someone (a friend) that you are also competing with that after each challenge you could humorously compare your scores to. Personalizing your competitor (albeit humorously like you did with your wife in another vid) is usually more emotionally engaging than the drama of bettering a ranking percentage. Having said that, however, another part of me appreciated that you went and did the competition alone because you are self motivated to improve regardless of competition.
Lastly, did you happen to notice that in the beginning before each challenge you would kinda negatively self-talk about how bad you were gonna do on that challenge? But then as time went by you stopped negatively self-talking as much and magically started doing better? It might be worth remembering that you are only as good as you believe. Our beliefs about ourselves manifest into reality further when we speak them out loud. Often they become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyway... Just a thought for the next competition... I Love the channel. Keep it up!
I'm unlikely to get seriously into shooting, but I'm loving the videos. Getting to see what competition looks like is pretty cool, so I'd be happy to see more of these.
Also, nice job for a second competition!
Lmao I'm a black guy and I laughed when you said it. I knew you didn't mean it like that. That was hilarious though.
jonathangrant35 What black male's name is Jonathan Grant I'm just saying I've never heard that before lmao.
jonathangrant35 thanks for being nice and not so petty like other people that commented u thought it was just a joke
jonathangrant35 I'm brown and he didn't need to explain himself, but he did because people these days are too sensitive. There were also brown moderators.
Hahaha agreed. You have to consider intent before you take offense. Super funny he took the time to add that too, to make sure nobody got offended. Seems like a cool dude for sure.
jonathangrant35 lol I laughed too and I'm brown.
(YES) Keep doing these competition videos, It was one of my favorites! And your a darn good shot Bro!
Not as good as Wendy Herbert at .45acp. She's the champion in Texas and has trained many marine unit special forces.
Eric Hayes bruh no one asked wtf, also you have no idea what your talking about because Special Forces is an army unit. You are thinking about marine raiders special OPERATIONS.
Dude as a former Grunt in the Marines, it is insane how many times I’m asked about “Marine Special Forces” lmao. Like no bro, that’s army. marines have tier 3 Recon BN and tier 2 Raiders and Force Recon.
Especially with that benelli! Wow! He was nailing those shots like it was a simple science.
I know I am late to this convo but yes keep filming these competitions. This is the first full shooting competition I have ever watched and I enjoyed it.
Yes I love watching these! Please keep videoing the competitions. It's so cool to watch!
That was rad. Loved it all, but it was the mid stage commentary and kinda you're take on how you planned to dish out the hurt on them clays that really made this field trip stand out. Definitely watchable, neer enjoyable. :)
Can Competition Ranch become a thing?

@@knifeboi5589 who cares lol
Definitely cool love the way you portrayed the competition good video and your other videos too are 10/10
Absolutely! More competition vids. Great job by the way. No one knows how hard and competitive these competitions truly are. Some of these pros make their living doing these competitions and have big time sponsors. You should be extremely proud of yourself.
Hey Matt, in video games like Arma 3 or DayZ there is a crack if a bullet flies past you and I've heard it is the same like in reallife so how about showing us the crack of bullets of different calibers flying past a microphone :D
Yeah I like that idea too. You should send Matt a private message and let him know because he probably won't read most of these comments here !
EpicteatimeHD maybe Creepy Cooter can help him out :)
he did a near-miss with a 50 cal video that kind of touched on this subject, might be worth checking out...
steveyj75 I like that video it interesting ;)
i want to learn more and see more of the. .338 lupin sniper rifle maybe shoot some phone books and compare to the BMG.

Dude!!! i been watching your videos like for ever and i gotta say you're awesome Bud, nothing but good videos, oh hey I AM PROUD OF YOU, nice sooting and i'd say pretty amazing for a beginner, i couldn't do it better, keep it up
I know this is an older video but it was an absolute pleasure to watch. It really makes me wish that the UK had avenues to access sports orientated shooting such as this.
You should create a channel where you do item demonstrations. You could call it DemoRanch.
DemonstrationRanch
That is what he basically calls his channel in the beginning of some vids
AnimeLapse that is What "demo" stands for
Nate I
I love your honesty and passion about the competition. Completely practical and very fun to watch. Love the competition aspect. Reminds me of top shot :)
You can see how it's something you really want to do. You really want people to like the comp aspect because it's something you really want to pursue. I say go for it. Would love to see ya make top 50%
This was one of my favorite videos that you've done
Love this sort of videos. Was pulling for you all the way.
Keep the competition stuff going more intersting
Love all the videos here! I'll watch everyone you make

About damn time you got into a competition Matt! You're a natural, just do what you do.
6:10 😂 I do like you regular videos more but I really enjoy these two.
Hey matt was just chillin at home watching one of ur vids, i thought to myself " i wonder if u shot a 223 round at a really sharp axe head , would it cut it in half?" Could you test that?
THEDEAD 01 yes it definitely would. I am a bladesmith and just basic metallurgy means that any hardened steel should and will cut a lead bullet in half if fired onto the edge provided the the edge geometry is not at such an acute angle that the blade does not have true strength (straight razor, hollow grinds, etc) or to obtuse that the force of the impact is transferred completely into the hardened steel which would quite likely shatter the whole blade in half. for example if he was to take a proper samurai sword with good edge geometry and shoot a 50 BMG at it, I would be willing to bet that it would not even deform the edge. the force behind the bullet only aids in splitting it down the center which keeps most of the energy in the bullet fragments and doesn't transfer into the blade as much. lead is very soft and hardened steel is incredibly tough. Hard beats soft unless the energy can be transferred like a giant punch. if you shot the same samurai sword on the side of the blade even with a low powered round like 7.62x39 it would likely shatter the metal (depending on the grain size of the sword) sorry for the rant but I've seen this test on forged in fire and to me it is quite anticlimactic.
Jake Pryor but what about twist rate, possibly cause the blade to break
Andrew Kowalyk they have shot 10$ katana somewhere on youtube and it splitted a slug, so I think that it's completely possible to do that with axe
Dude perfect split a bullet on an axe head and hit two water bottles side to side with the 1 bullet.
People have been splitting rounds with axes for over a century at this point. Not sure about .223, or 5.56, but random handgun/revolver rounds you bet your sweet ass. Splitting a round in two and hitting two different targets has been a widely popular stunt with both the audience and the shooters. Been done over and over again. Hell, just search the Tube and you'll find multiple shooters pulling it off. Bill Munden is my personal favorite for neat revolver clips.
"...even with me shooting it..." Stop being so dang humble, Matt! You're a (VERY) good shot and you know it! :D
Ik I'm a little late to commenting in this vid but I'm new to you're channel and I've watched a lot of your videos the past few days and i really enjoyed this competition video! I'd also like to see you get better at them as well!
I love watching you in tournaments
You should make a course for yourself at your ranch that you can practice on and make it a video every two weeks and just practice when you have time off as well to practice as well
You have plenty of land to dot that
The courses are different every time
The Lone Wanderer he can still practice sight placement and other skills
Brotha I felt you did damn well!!! I really appreciate you showing what's it's like being in a major competition. Motivate me very much.
The competition videos are super cool too and adding some serious element to your channel. Definitely yes! The fun videos will always be fun to watch but once in a while competition video is not a bad idea.
BTW, I'm sure that most of us in the channel believing in you that you will make it far into the competition. Will make us all proud 🤟

Getting better is everything! Do more! Do more! Liked this video a year ago! Hold us up, competition shooting and the insight is awesome! Keep going! I knowbits been awhile but you've grown. ...let's go demo!
Seriously, thanks for this video. Im a long time shooter but I'm completely new to the 3 gun world. This gave me a great insight as to how "the new guy" can approach the sport. Heck bro, I was cheering for you! Well done, you've gained another subscriber in me. God bless
I really enjoyed this, plz do more!!!!
These are my favorite to watch I’d love to see more
I enjoy watching these types of videos. As a 3gun shooter just starting out myself I think it's fascinating watching others, especially ones new to the sport.
Very good job on your vids. I love both your competition and regular vids
This was that one day when it rained super hard. I live in dripping springs by the way.
Da Bird ahh I remember that day well...
the target color thing was funny to me because first reactions are what's usually in your heart. As a black man I can say for myself you handled it excellently and I didn't assume any racism at all. There are people like that (racist) for sure but that's not what I see on this channel.
You should definetly keep doing these. I know me and the guys enjoy watching the comp stuff
That was awesome Matt. Enjoyed watching it, and you did pretty damn good.
Me: it is the middle of winter in Michigan with 1 foot of snow

Matt you are so humble, You talk like you have no idea if your going to get up top with the others your facing, but you habe fun stay genuine and all in all you are a great shooter. It pays off with time shooting and experiencing all the different guns you shoot you do great and only improved through the years, you are someone i look up to so mych you are all around a great passionate family loving and productive man i love it. I appreciate you uploading all your videos you are one special youtube gun man its amazing!
Me when I play video games: “Did I win?” 🤣🤣🤣
Kinda Kool to see a girl who watches this channel awesomeness

MORE COMPETITIONS!!!
my favorite demo ranch vid yet. Competition and commentary on the dichotomy of failure and victory is quality and timeless content. Also would be great to see your progress in the competitive world! You have the skill and means! Ya did great for the first lets see more!
found the other vids, carry on.
Cool video. Liked seeing the competition as I've thought about trying one and this gives a nice inside view of one. Keep up all the good work. My son and I love watching your channel!

Just saw this part as I read your comment, 🤣🤣
Love the intro
I absolutely love watching you do gun competitions you was absolutely killing it
Definitely enjoy these types of videos.
I Love the Cake intro...hope you don't get copyright flagged.
for some reason i dont think the guys who are in the band Cake care about people using their music on youtube. lol
phantasos12 it was only like 4 seconds so technically it's under fair use
Shinigami919 too bad it's never actually the guys in the band who get to make that call tho
Next time Matt shoot your whole competition with a “Don’t Tell Mere!” Demolition Ranch shirt on.
dude great job for second time and yeah show more of the three gun or any competitions your videos are funny but cool when you get serious good job again
Really educational... sitting at home watching videos makes me think "oh that's easy.." then when you get out there uh oh... Thank You!!!!
Me, and one of my friends set us up a 2gun course this past weekend(no shotgun). This is the first time that I had ever did anything of this nature, and I found out that it is VERY DIFFICULT. I missed more than I should have, and was also wayyyyy too slow at transitioning. Get out and set up a course, and time yourself. If you have never did anything like this, it will humble you. That's for sure! But, we still had a blast!!!!!
Why didn’t you just use the 50bmg lol
you can't just take a 50 bmg with you to a competition my guy

I just love watching you shoot, Matt, doesn't matter what you're shooting or what you're shooting at.
Im pretty surprised you don't have a little mini Gun Competition Practice area in your little Demo Ranch Testing area.. Maybe like 1 small pistol range, shotgun range and rifle range and practice reloading faster with timers!
we need that rain in colorado.
ps that was lit.
psh...we just had a whole bunch of rain and snow last week...though we will always need moisture...sad year for only 19.3" of snow this year
I just ran across your page today very awesome thanks for being every day people congratulations on your competition and keep up the great work
AWESOME!!!! Love watching this Matt
how much paper can stop a tank shell
AceBlade I like the way you think
AceBlade it would probably be like one whole tree to finally stop a tank shell😂
crew leathers you can't seriously think that a single tree would be enough to stop a tank shell?
A tank shell actually depending on the tank too but the shell is literally meant to penetrate heavy armor and buildings and you think 1 tree will stop it...
it also heavily depends on the tree, i suspect an ancient oak or sequoia might do just fine
6:10 😂 had to explain himself
Definitely like watching the competition stuff Matt
Great video showing some real competition shooting in action. I have always been interested in it but failing health keeps me from doing this kind of shooting. Its great to see it being done. thanks!
