  • In this episode, the following questions served as food for thought: Is Taraji to blame being for The Color Purple for being a bust?; Is the Oprah hate warranted? I share my experiences with both Taraji and Oprah as well as with another celebrity-produced production which might serve to provide a deeper perspective on The Color Purple’s on set problems. Throughout, I address the anti-Oprah sentiment which could also be directed towards that other “O” - Obama.#thecolorpurple #oprahwinfrey #oprah #tarajiphenson #actress #blackactress #payinequality #movie #muscial #boxoffice #entertainmentnews #opinion #theplayersclub #icecube

Not to mention taraji constantly whined about how she worked so hard and how she’s been in the business for 20+ years. Then she should know you don’t get paid for how hard you work, because EVERYBODY works hard. You get paid for your worth in Hollywood. And let’s be honest, taraji isn’t worth a damn. I can’t think of one taraji film starring taraji where she was the draw that made anything at the box office. And feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Demi was in very successful films. As was Whoopi. And whoever is the highest paid actress now I’m sure has been in successful films as well. I’m sure whatever taraji did get paid was more than she deserved
