Nice video. Try and pan a little slower. Just a little jerky. They have nice video handles that make it easy. Blessings
will do learning everyday thanks for watching
I live in Sebastian, I have navigated that inlet with a 17' Montauk without any fear of the chop. The biggest problem when entering or leaving the inlet are the other boaters. They don't yield, they don't understand common horn indentions. I always wait outside or inside for the boat traffic to subside. Yes! The standing waves are scary, but not threatening. It's that other boat headed straight toward you at full throttle that's the real danger.
I agree boaters are the most dangerous fish inthe sea.
Great video 📹
Thanks we enjoy visiting the inlets
Monster hole! great surfing 🌊
I could only imagine
@@the50somethings I knew quite a few guys in HS that were bit by sharks, all were fine, but it is really quite dangerous.
My son that was into surfing, I would never allow to go to Monster Hole. Of course now that he's an adult I know that he went there of course, thank goodness he was okay.
I was never worried at Sebastian Inlet, and we would take the boat out all the time, 18 ft. boat. 😬
The most dangerous situation we were ever in was at Ft.Pierce inlet, my best friend was seven months pregnant and the guys were trying to be as careful as they could and it was like we were literally surfing the waves with the boat.
Of course living in Vero that's not the only time then I was there, but it was the scariest experience as far as boating goes.
Some of the best times I've ever had in my life where at Sebastian inlet.
Same here, FT. Pierce can lull you into thinking it is safe.
All inlets can be dicey, but nothing compares to Haulover Inlet. There are a few YT channels dedicated to this narrow inlet. Boyton is so narrow it's considered a spillway. Wear a lifejecket!
Have not had the pleasure of Haulover as of yet but will take the advice.
Hey, Thanks for sharing this! Which season is the most rough in this inlet? I live down south around Boca Inlet and the summer is pretty flat always except a few days when we got some crazy weather. It's the same as up there?
We are out of Stuart but go up to Sabastian oftentimes for the most part this is typical day when the tide is going out or in but better at slack tide.
@@the50somethings Thanks! Definitely will give a try
pretty much the same, thanks of watching
I have been through
here many times.
Watch the tide tables.
You'll be fine.
agreed but it truly is a roller coaster ride that you must respect LOL
I spent my whole life going to Sebastian inlet, I never knew this.
We would stay at the campground almost every weekend and when we didn't we were across the river, and we would take boats over into the ocean.
I never knew Fort Pierce was the safest inlet.
Wow!
I guess we got very very lucky.
same here great place
I saw a guy paddle boarding the other day going back and forth across the inlet. Dude was legit.
Better him than me that inlet ins crazy.
Look at the cross walk. I stay on shore lol
good eye agreed
I have taken my 16ft canoe with a 8 horse through the inlet on a calm day.
WOW!! sounds like fun
Where is this inlet rated ? According to who and how was it rated?
Local articles, and Fish and wildlife
@The 50 Somethings so basically no where? Although if these so called local articles want to call it the most dangerouse to keep people away...im fine with that
I've been out here on 14ft aluminum jon boat 😅
Not sure i would have the nerve, 😁
Broke my back going through the Sebastian inlet, ended up having to have back surgery to put hardware in to stabilize my spine. Hit back to back rogue waves.
had a few hard days myself out on the water, hope things get better and hope your still on the water
Sorry for the experience never know when one of those waves will hit
even the best captains have a hard time with that inlet, hope your back on the water
Its similar to the Jupiter inlet which is a Non navigable Inlet meaning not recognized or buoy marked by the US Coast Guard and Army Core of Engineers. Local Knowledge necessary for safe passage!!!! I have to say Sebastion inlet is worse 😆😆
we are in Stuart and use Jupiter all the time you are correct have to be careful.
Speaking from experience... if it's not under 2ft waves, it's fucking terrifying in a 19ft boat lol
Funny, I own a 219 FS and would not attempt. Thanks for watching
@@the50somethings went out with my buddy and his girl. He asked his girl to check the wave conditions. She said it was 0.39ft, when in reality is was 3.9ft.... yea, fucking terrifying lol
Haulover is bad
have never gone through Haulover but seen videos of it and I agree need nerves of steel
HA anyone under a 24 foot boat not go thru the inlet? Hug the south jetty if in a smaller boat and don't go out if seas are bigger than 3 feet. If Monster Hole is breaking DO NOT GO OUT!!!
Sure, is fun to watch people navigate, Our home Inlet is out of Stuart Fl.
Nonsense.
