Pro tip: Once you hit 50 on an allied race, you can't unlock heritage armor on that character until the Remix ends because you're limited to Pandaria, however you *can* create a class trial of the same race and turn in the heritage armor quest that way.

I like this man and his content. I have been playing this game for years and all of my friends for the most part have families/jobs and you know real life stuff so they no longer play. I on the other hand am retired/disabled i am married but i have no kids and nothing really to take me away from playing this game except doctors visits. I really miss playing with others i solo 90 percent of the time so i enjoy watching this content.
I've mostly enjoyed Remix so far, though it still feels a bit daunting (for me personally) to get enough bronze to collect ALLLLL the things. I hope they do something like this again with other expansions, I think it could open up a ton of opportunity for collectors.
I know most people would love to skip straight to a Legion Timerunning, but I think WoD would make a great timerunning experience. I think if they just remove the Garrison aspect all together it'll make WoD good for timerunning, since the garrison is mostly professions. It was a good call for them to remove professions for timerunning so it helps the players really focus on a core concept
They wont nerf the amount of bronze that you need to upgrade your gear but i would like them to drop more bronze so it is easier to upgrade . I want everything and i want to level many toons so i can be a Jill of all . I have a blast leveling and the grind i do not mind that at all it is my jam and i am very good at it.
Just finished it today, really liked the event overall but the first few days were indeed rough with low drops and extremely wonky scaling.
Ended up buying everything from all the vendors, got loremaster, did all the achievements, did all the raids on all difficulties including Mythic, levelled all classes to max lvl once and maxed out my Warrior at 476ilvl and 100k stamina cloak, i feel like i achieved 100% completion. I did not use any exploits along the way, for the most part farmed HC dungeons.

I’ve loved this. Recently switched to tanking so I’m using this to flesh out that aspect before TWW. Plus getting the mounts I’ve tried since MOP to get AND getting my legendary cloak wings back made it worth it for sure. Plus the nostalgia- MOP was my first in-depth raid tier - even got my Lock challenge mode armor back then.

I’m loving how bonkers broken it is. Only issue I am finding now is that the group finder for normal and HC raids are mostly for the froggers as they ask for 400+ item level. I’m at 380 so it’s rare I can get in a group. Blowing through LFR is seven minutes is a blast though.
I never played mop. So I’m trying to make my character powerful as a solo player. I’ve done all quests minus 2, normal and heroic scenarios and dungeons. I’ve done all LFG raids. I need gems, necklace, and to upgrade gear from 402. I’ve not purchased any collectibles and have only upgraded gear on 1 character. I’ve also only been playing for like 6 days.
once you get powerful enough to do heroic raids it can help the process a lot, the only difference in rare -> epic gear is 100+ of another stat (or stacking the same stat) but the bronze increase from heroic is nice for upgrading!
Also btw I heard to fully upgrade your gear it’s around 500k or somewhere in that range does that sound right?
Thats nice to know that heroic raid are 400 item level. I just gave up on upgrade my gear and just bought the expensive mounts. We still have a couple of months left
it would be super nice to see a tooltip over heroic of a suggested ilvl, that way it could help guide folks
i am having a blast with remix. The only thing i would wish we could graduate characters early.

So question my warrior friend I've been playing a warrior since mid 2008 and I've always played an alliance human warrior I've played horde a few times on other classes but never a warrior and I want to make the switch but I want to get your feedback on what race was the best for warriors as arms or fury
it's changed a lot over the years, having specific racial abilities doesn't make nearly as much of an impact PVE wise as it use to, it's maybe a 1.5% dmg increase. Honestly just play whatever looks the coolest to you

I too agree that the cost of upgrade is a huge issue. Just looking it is well over 500K more for my toon to get it maxed (not including the amount already spent). That is almost half of the total cost of all the other items available. Seems a little off.

I do normal raids to level faster when they become available.
I may have to get 1 of each class again just for the remix only class weapon/armor ensembles. You literally have to buy them after a certain character gets enough through the isle of Thunder and Landfall campaign.
You can buy them on your main for each class. You just have to change the filter on the vendor screen to show all

So just fyi, there is still something off about the scaling. At level 67 my appropriately geared and gemmed Monk was getting two shotted by the quest mobs outside the stormstout brewery. I don't know exactly what it is but something is not quite right
i always tell people to upgrade gear first, if you have Max gear u get bronze anyway. i Hit maxgear 2 days ago, cleared evrything, mythic SoO etc, now i have like 100k bronze sitting around so i can start buying evrything else. It way easier to get More bronze if u already juiced :D

It would be fun if the gigga cloaks never happened. My cloak is at 15k stamina and my gear is all 430 I have killed zero frogs. And I can not get into a pre-made Heroic . As soon as I get in they see I only have 1.4 mil hp and I get kicked.

@@ramstab Unfortunatly you won't be able to mog the priest set on your pala. The shoulders are a random drop in the raid though so you can put it on another cloth class.

If you are making an alt army to farm go pandaren monk and remember there class daily and to leave them in a inn
great tip!
One other thing - tuning still needs to happen. Heroic stuff still way overturned. I know a scenario I was in- the flame guys and mine- not the goblin one- was rough. Rares seem fine, easily soloed but in dungeons some of the trash mob stuff is harder than bosses.
for the goblin scenario your special action button one-shots everything. But I do agree heroic raids may need a little more adjustment

As a collecter and altoholic, i find the upgrading of gear totally useless. I don't know what gear we'll get after remix is done but I know we won't keep the stuff we have, I think that we'll get the same gear someone would get for buying a character boost maybe a bit higher so I doubt that upgrading your gear will really be that worthwile.
the only point in upgrading your gear would be to do heroic raids + mythic siege of orgrimmar
Ngl I wish the stats from the cloak were 1:1 on all alts. That's what I heard and so I'm used to playing prot war and I lvled it up did some of the farms before the nerfs(not frog) and managed to get like 2m health and semi decent starting stats. Then I really wanted to play ret pally because ztroll heritage armor and bf interest in pally play-style. And ngl I feel so weak in normal raids it's not even funny. I have like 300k health and 360 lvl maybe it's the gems but ik one thing is the cloak stats def don't feel like they carry to alts
I'm on my 4th 70 in Remix and the cloak leveled much faster on the 4th. My xp gain was 326% by the time I was 65 and I didn't do any raiding.
@@facetiouslyinsolent8313 oh yeah the exp gain is cool but i mean the other stats like stam, haste, mastery, crit, vers. The lvling speed is great don't get me wrong, but it's like the lvling speed gets ahead of gaining other stats at a good rate and you end up super squishy on your alt imo
Its fun but holy shit the tuning/balance is awful. Healing is very wonky because the gems really help but they also kind of hurt learning how healing works. The power creep doesnt make sense once you get to 70, the classes feel very weak at the end, but leveling up you are basically a God. Leveling alts is very easy. If someone's goal is heritage armor and some transmogs, its great. But after the first 2ish weeks its kind of boring. I recommend this for people leveling alts and trying out classes, maybe some transmogs if you are relatively new. But like you said, reaching max level feels like you are killable by everything. The frog farmers are light-years ahead of others, even after the nerf. I like the daily lockout because it means you can just keep going and have a ton of fun, but the high levels are going to drop out so fast. Meaning if people want to grind out stuff, you better join now because people are going yo leave in waves.
I entirely understand your concern and agree, hence why I'm dedicating my grinding time to my community in trying to help clear content with them so when that wave happens there's still hope for folks without having to dedicate too much time into it

It's only been out 2 weeks and we still have nearly 3 months of it left. The cost of gear upgrades is definitely going to be nerfed over time. The free 40K bronze they just added is a great feature and it will get better.

How is bronze not account bound? You can't send gems to another Timerunner char. Simple things Blizzard!
I for sure would love to see bronze be account wide, not sure why that is not implemented. But for the mailing, the reason it's disabled in my opinion was in the first PTR test cycle people were able to mail things from their retail characters to their Timerunning characters, gear etc. So I think they just made the simple call with spaghetti code to turn it off all together. You can still trade people gems, then have that person trade those gems to your alt.
Have a friend you trust meet you at the bank in the vale. Have them put all their gems in their bank (so there is no mix up with stacking). Trade your gems to them and then get on the character you want them sent to and your friend can trade them back. Not simple but not enough to cry about either...
I do not know i have already seen where folks are wanting you to pay to join these raid groups i do not know anyone just running them and accepting folks in. I am getting lonesome and aggravated .
I like remix but honestly its not great, so many scaling issues, one shots out of nowhere once you get to 70 until you spend hundreds of thousands of bronze to up your gear.
definitely is a trial period to see how all this could work better in the future, I assume we'll always see some scaling difficulties when trying to make content that is from 12 yrs ago into current fitting. Hopefully when/if they do this again it'll be smoother
Easier to play paladin then warrior
People should stop complaining about the armor upgrade cost. I already max leveled and it is because I spent everything into my gear. I make very easy bronze by running heroics. I also can solo world bosses with ease. If you don't upgrade your gear, you wont even get invited into normal raids which means you can't make much bronze at all. This game is intended to run normals and heroics like lfr. 38k per armor level isn't that much at all. Because of my level, I can get great amounts of bronze without too much effort and it saves me hours a day doing the grind. People who are greedy about upgrading their gear won't get far at all and every day the grind will be a pain.
Congratulations, you got 100s of thousands of bronze by farming frogs in a single day I assume.
Do you know how long it takes to upgrade gear to even ilvl 400? I'm playing since the beginning and except buying all Remix exclusive mounts which is about I dunno 60k bronze I have put all my bronze into my gear. I'm 392 right now, expecting to be 400 in about 5 days.
Because THAT'S how long it takes to upgrade gear to even be able to go into HC raid.
So don't start patronizing us normies who didn't abuse the system like you did.
