Thank you so much! It ' s both absolutly easy and brilliant! Oliver, GOOD JOB!
I just love everthing Jamie cooks!!!👍👌💝.
This is look so mouthwatering
Gonna spend a fortune on all these ingredients from every one of Jamie’s Christmas dinner videos this year
Jamie’s part of Christmas now I always use his advice and tips I’m
Not much of a cook but give it a go 😊
Wow, that's amazing!!! I'm vegan but am always looking for memorable and rich recipes for inspiration!!! Your example of stuffing is so good, it seems like it would be a family heirloom, passed on from generation to generation.
More recipes Jamie! These videos are so great!
+jiblyjably Many more coming your way! Keep your eyes peeled.
Lovely Jamie. Last year I used some cornbread as my breadcrumb base. It gave it a nice flavour to the stuffing
Jamie.... OMG only my most favourite pudding made the Jamie Oliver easy way. Thank you. 👌💕
Your videos are always such fun to watch. Really enjoy them, and learn a lot too.
+nrgins Thank YOU for watching and for the lovely comment!
I'm just a simple guy from Canada and we Stuff our turkey. I don't care if it takes 6 or 7 hours to cook. That to us is part of the day.
+scarmenl We bet that tastes RIDICULOUSLY GOOD.
Jamie Oliver
Yes it does. Thank you.
What a wonderful stuffing. Or dinner. Happy healthy thanksgiving to all!
Is it a bad thing that I've had you cooking in the kitchen with me all morning? Hahaha! I love these fail safe videos, makes Christmas Day roasting so much easier!
Merry Christmas to you, Jules & all the mini Olivers, mate. Safe travels in '19. 💖💙💖✌✌✌
Really a filling fail-safe that is versatile and takes any prescription to another level. I remembered in a very traditional English recipe that can be done from that filling the Shepperd's Pie, which would be delicious too and is a great choice to accompany a pork belly stuffed with herbs and vegetables. Thank you +Jamie!
+Marcelo Santos Thank YOU, Marcelo! You've made us blush. x
;-))
love it Jamie will give it a try ....thanks
This is the dressing I grew up with & I've continued the same ingredients. We do include sliced fresh mushrooms.
Cheers Jamie bro, my GO2 man
thanks to previous Jamie Oliver recipes which have been online for some time now, it has become a tradition that every year for the Christmas dinner, I take charge of making the stuffing and gravy. I use chicken wings to make the gravy and pork chops for the stuffing. what makes it all the more appreciated in the household, is that I am a vegetarian and have been since roughly the age of 3. don't get me wrong I'm all for people eating meat, I just don't enjoy the taste and texture of meat myself. I would like to thank all involved with getting these recipes online, I'm not sure that everyone appreciates the cost and effort that these sorts of productions require. for me they have meant that even when living on low wages as I do, that I am still able to give a gift to my family that they appreciate. I look forward to further videos in the future!
+Scott Guest What an AWESOME comment, Scott! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Good luck with this year's stuffing and gravy! Let us know how you get on. x
Oh yeah!! 😻
Jamie you are by far my favorite chef! Love seeing all your creations!!
Just adding on to the dried fruit, raisins is what I normally use and I recommend using that if you want an extra sweetness to the stuffing :)
+EnMin C. Nice suggestions, thanks for sharing! x
it's basically a fancy meatloaf
+Danimal Jr. It's SO much more than that. Try it and you'll see.
+Jamie Oliver don't worry Jamie, meatloaf is one of my favs! I'll give it a whirl!
+Danimal Jr. thats exactly what i was thinking. mind, it looks good but not what i was thinking when clicking on a stuffing video.
It is meatloaf..
Not even close to meatloaf
Jamie the master
you mentioned coating a pork loin in this... Yes! coincidentally I was trying to think up a pork Wellington recipe only this morning!! I think I have it. Christmas pork wellington!
That's was lovely chef.. Looks very..Looks like perfect for Christmas..
This shouldn't be unlisted.
Too good not to know.
Crumbled up black pudding is also great in stuffing :) you don't even have to like black pudding it just gives it a great depth and earthy taste :)
+cherub2918 WOW, that sounds AWESOME. Nice tip. x
I LOVE black pudding! Sadly haven't had it for years. Can't find it.
What a GEAT idea... thanks for that - I'm gonna pull-out a ckracking stuffing this Crimbo!
Would love to see Jamie version of classic French toast
+Shomix This banana French Toast Sandwich is an absolute delight - and so quick and easy to put together: www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fruit-recipes/stuffed-french-toast/#FaceeoVSpqyr7MSI.97
another fantastic video from Mr. O!
+Peter Bunyaratvej And a fantastic comment from YOU, Peter!
Wow looks delicious!!! Thanks Jamie :)
+Sakura C Retana Sure does!
Fácil y delicioso
I bloody love you JO
Lovely 😋
Hi Jamie. Happy Christmas. I tried this out today with one or two differences. Didn't have cranberries, but chopped up a few dates, added a teaspoon of crushed fennel seeds and some chicken livers chopped up (about 100g per 500g pork). Loved the different textures from the meat and nuts, and the hits of sweetness from the dried fruit. And it was great in the barbecued roast chicken. Cheers from Port Hughes.
Happy New year everyone.i wish all of you and your family have best New year in 2021.
In a pork loin roll roasted, this should be fantastic for Christmas! Will try to make...
+Will Budic Mmmmm, fantastic! Give it a go and let us know how you get on, Will.
+Jamie Oliver Thanks! What I'll do, is use two Turkey legs and pressure cook them this first notch and keep there for 15 minutes. In the mean time prepare your stuffing. Than take the legs out, to cool and shred meat out. Return the leg bones to the stock. And let it simmer and reduce, by 1/2. The problem is the loin. It needs an Zoro cut. Or two of them and of course a butchers string. The turkey meat is becoming part of the stuffing. :) I'll make it next week, will use roasted beetroot and Asparagus & Spinach Puree with heads as sides.... ;)
he is very talented
So I've decided Im cooking Christmas dinner by myself this year - cranberry sauce, honey-roasted carrots, Jamie's Fail free stuffing, Turkey and gravy - all of which Im making for the first time! Yep, I know :D
I'm very serious about stepping up my cooking game. Planning ahead every step.
Spent the past two full days just going through numberless recipes and decided THIS is the simplest, most clear, yet exciting stuffing video I've watched.
Thanks for that guys, wish me luck :)
PS: I didnt find cranberry sauce video, am I just not seeing it?
How did it go?
holy moly that looks GORGEOUS. And so does the food, only kidding. food looks better!
+Food And Drink In Seconds SO simple but SO tasty!
Thanks
Jamie you are unique
Also as Brazilians do, "Farofa"
I tell ya, farofa is a very good variant of it!
Hi Jamie, I was wondering what other kind of minced meat I could use instead of pork as I don't eat it? Thanks
Bertolli has been replaced!
Yes!!!!!!!!!
You add the subtitle😆😆😆
LOOKS AMAZING!!! Can I substitude with ground sausage in tubes. Never saw ground pork in store.
Is it salted butter?
I literally just pulled my first attempt out of the oven and WOW! I couldn't find any chestnuts at the supermarket, so I went with hazelnuts and pine nuts instead. For herbs I used fresh home-grown sage, rosemary, and thyme. So now the bulk of the seasoning is ready for tomorrow (just need to warm), and the rest is ready to poke into the turkey tomorrow.
Also, given this was my first attempt and it was a large batch, I was unsure about the amount of salt and pepper to use so I added a little less than I thought, mixed well, and gently fried a small amount (about a tablespoon). This gave me an idea of the final product and allowed me to add just the "right" amount (for my taste of course). If anyone else is unsure about how much salt and pepper to use, try that.
i miss my auntie she made the best sage stuffing
Man alive that's a lotto meat in that stuffing, but it sounds perfectly awesome!!
You guys are making so much christmas food!! Do you not get sick with it by the time you ACTUALLY reach christmas?? LoL
+tissue522 Never! We LOVE Christmas!
Nope
Jamie Oliver greetings from Russia!
When I was little we showed you on TV, always looked missed transmission.
+Ya plyushevyiy Big love to Russia! x
Someone get me some water, i'm dying of first.
+TheMessenger We see what you did there! 😉
Goodnight
Good one
So I typically use a sage sausage and reverse the ration of bread to meat, then add the herbs and onion as well as about a whole bulb of roughly chopped garlic, then stuff the bird everywhere I can fit the stuff plus a large casserole to get crunchy. I don't mind that the bird takes longer since we get turkeys with enormous breasts here in the states, which take for freaking ever. I make sure to never use egg in my stuffing and I put in the carcass as hot as I can stand it so that the oven doesn't have to heat the stuffing before the bird starts to cook around the ribs. As for nuts in my stuffing, that is a no go so that nut allergies aren't put off from eating the centerpiece of the meal...however, an assortment of nuts will go on top of thinly sliced yams then drizzled with a molasses, butter, brown sugar, maple syrup concoction then lightly dusted with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a wee bit of ground chilies and brown that all in the oven till the edges start to get crunchy....sorry got carried away, guess it is time to roast another turkey
Can this stuffing be prepared in advance, say a few days before dancing with the turkey? And does the stuffing has to be cooked or can be used at the stage when mixed together ?
I love the stuffing recipe. I just always thought it was made without meat thou? when i grew up it was always made with slightly stale bread and herbs & saltana's. Nz & Aust . Love You Jamie x Would be great to hear your opinion.
Theres 2 types. With or without meat.
Jamie likes this recipe a lot you could tell lmao
+Demosthenes Theofanopoulos What's not to like? 😉
Can I eat the stuffing as a classic dish? Or is it only to fill it in a turkey? Thanks,Denis
How long can this be kept in the fridge before cooking. Can I make it couple of days before?
Thanks and great videos.
Night before the day that you cook it
@@acionnaanassa4042 thanks for replying. Wrote that that 5 years ago!
Can you make this ahead👍🏻
nice one
Oooh, fancy, and so much meat :D
+CookingwithMani Full of deliciousness.
instead of fresh sage can we use fresh rosemary? will dry sage work??
Could eat this on it's own.
+gary daniels On toast (trust me)
+cherub2918 Totally!
I'm really torturing my-self here. It's Christmas, I'm alone and really ill with swollen tonsils and ulcers, haven't eaten in 3 days, still feeling rubbish, and I'm just sat here watching all these Christmas Dishes being prepared. This will be a Christmas to Remember and not in a good way. But I'm definitely going to start cookin some serious shit as soon as I'm no longer ill! Student Life is gonna change in 2016! I'm ready!
Whan leaves Jamie choped in the begining and used as a dressing in the end?
Hi Jamie - I can't see the recipe for this stuffing in the notes. Where can I get it, so I can get all the ingredients and know what amounts of each I need. Excited to try it - my first attempt at cooking turkey, stuffing and gravy. All a la Jamie!! Happy Christmas from Sydney!
He added olive oil and butter separately... I wish there was some sort of product to allow simultaneous addition of both of those ingredients...
+XOlleyX perhaps something that a famous italian company could produce
+XOlleyX in the UK there's something called Bertoli, not sure if you can get it anywhere else.
+TheLlamaFarmer3 wow, dude, really
Can I use paxo stuffing mix instead of breadcrumbs? And no meat?
awight mayte!!
how many days can you keep the raw stuffing ?
i duno i guess we do stuff a lot more different in the usa but to me i'd call that a pork stuffing inspired meat loaf instead of stuffing. for us usally our stuffing is mostly bread with little bits of other stuff in it.
+Magician12345 In the UK stuffing is mostly meat and the bread is to bulk it out and make a softer texture. Even vegetarian stuffings aren't just bread, the bulk of them is lentils or mushrooms or whatever. Just bread with bits in as a stuffing sounds dry and bland to me.
intresting. well yeah i have heard people from other countries say most american food is pretty bland.
+cherub2918 it's not bland it all. You can add a lot of pork sausage to it, add seasoning and with enough chicken stock make it nice and moist. I like to use sourdough bread for mine.
I was thinking the exact same thing. You could serve this as a meatloaf and it would be an excellent main dish. I wouldn't want to serve this with turkey as it's far too meat-dominant. I'd love to make this as a meatloaf though.
Pasta Fagioli from Gennaro please!
British stuffing looks amazing! In america its just bread D:
+Elizabeth JJ whaaat? But I always thought stuffing was always something like what Jamie made..
I think maybe you just haven't ever seen it :) I live in America and have seen, eaten and made all different kinds as well! (Some ppl think that stuffing means stove top out of a box or the crappy stuff in a bag,and that stuff just isn't very good/exciting at all!)
I've seen people add dried fruits, olives, sausage, herbs, chestnuts, mushrooms, etc... There's even yummy cornbread stuffing! And people use all sorts of crusty breads for regular stuffing.
I've also seen very yummy Asian varieties of stuffing now too!
We definitely have exciting versions of stuffing here too, I hope you get to try a yummy one some time! :D
+Elizabeth JJ Why not give this festive beauty a go, Elizabeth? x
can this be prepared the day before????
Lovesit
Can i freeze this ?
I made this last year and it was a fucken disaster but still tasted really good, so if you even do half the job Jamie does you’ll be happy!
I done it simular
This looks better than American stuffing honestly. Who's idea was it to make cubed bread a side dish?
Beautiful but it's a lot of meat to be called a stuffing ....More bread and less meat cause it looks like a meatloaf. But looks great. My fav stuffing is Oyster dressing. I can watch and listen to you all day long ... Happy Holidays....
Southern dressing is so much different. 😱
I love southern dressing
Product933 ioķ
.
No thsnks
Thistle B chill out.
I love the British ratio of meat to bread for the stuffing. Sadly it's reversed in the States.
Haha I was thinking the exact same thing
Jeff Ward ks
This looking amazing. I'm cooking for 7 people this year (instead of the regular 3) and one person only eats chicken or turkey. So, maybe next year =[.
+Brittany Hudson We'll hold you to that, Brittany! 😉
How to clean and cook clam
Is it ok to use another meat
No chilli in the stuffing man!😉😅😅😅
What meat can I substitute the pork? Thanks in advance.
OG Mango
Minced what though?! You can't just say minced meat, what meat is it that is minced
A box of paxo it is then !
omg
What could u use instead of chestnuts...
pistachios
Would it be ok to substitute ground beef - I prefer not to use pork?
+OoznynKoo hmm I don't think it will work well.Sausages maybe?
You could use chicken leg/thigh mince instead
Hi🙂
What about using beef instead of pork?
Why not flaming hot? Would make for a nice change.
+Paula Bean If that's what you fancy then who are we to stop you! Go for it! x
what kind of herbs are that?
sage
can you make it early & keep it frozen till you need it
Yes you can :) Just cover it and put it in the fridge
Culture shock there! American style is mostly bread, as far as I know. But what do I know, my family doesn't make stuffing.
"Meat's expensive so here is a stuffing recipe that is 90%+ pork shoulder". Well done stretching out that meat to such great lengths!
He's not trying to stretch it a long way. He's just explaining the origins of stuffing. Much like a stew was always left over scraps chucked in a pot whereas now its different. Merry Christmas
What kind of herb did he add?
"And this is the stuffing?"
