Watching The Sunrise Over Portland, OR

- I've been wanting to do a video like this for a while.
I live in Portland, OR and have for the last 9 years. My favorite way to see this city is ironically covered in fog.
But foggy season this year has been non-existent.
Last spring I was finally able to wake up and see the conditions were right, and head up to my favorite spot to watch the sunrise.
I wanted to show the beauty of this city with the most epic of conditions. If you are ever in town, head up to Pittock Mansion and try to experience this for yourself!

The time lapses of cloud movement (like waves) are so cool! And with the hazy glimpses of city below ot make it ethereal and I love it!

I really enjoy how deliberate you are with researching conditions, thinking out shots etc. There's so much hard work you put in to your shots. These conditions are insane, these scenes with the fog clouds slowly moving in are *chefs kiss*

Lol I might geek out way more on weather conditions than others, but to me that’s sorta half the fun😅

I particularly like the drone shots; I love to see my home town from a different perspective.It doesn't look as if you've done a video from OHSU yet. I work on the hill and when the fog from the river obliterates the whole of downtown and all I can see is Mt Hood it is spectacular. There are so many amazing landscapes and sunrises to see from the 9th floor tram deck.

Catching low fog covering portland is not easy lol. I was hoping there would be more on this trip but there’s always next time:)

Since it’s fog I did one to two seconds in between. Honestly after the sun came up I probably could have switched to a video or S&Q, but I love how much you’re able to adjust in a photo.
Fog moves so quick, so if you have too much time in between then it sometimes looks choppy
