The problem is they moved here and drove up the cost of housing. And some still haven’t learned how to use a trash can as evidenced by the increase in litter in the last 20 or so years.

That is so good. I loved going up there. That's an awesome spot to be buried. I came back home because of my grandparents and parents. They are all buried in one spot. But if I lived in Portland I wouldn't leave. There are so many cool places to go. ✌️💗

He was cemeted and my grandmother aunt and uncle buried him up on the mountain Sept 1954 he climb Mt Hood over a 100 times as a guide.

Yeah, it was pretty good up until people started moving here like crazy 20 years ago. Wish those transplants would go home so we can afford to live in ours. They can take their drug-addicted and homeless kids with them please.
It only got "bad" during covid and that's true for every city in the USA, hell there isn't a single issue with Portland that isn't an issue in every other city

I have lived here in Portland for thirty years, but you missed so many things while mentioning a few sports teams and corporations. As a Portlandian and a geography nerd, these are definitely the last things that I would mention. Disappointed.

A lot of doom and gloom here about Portland. Yeah there's a crime and homeless issue. Yeah there's a cost of living issue. Honestly these are issues in most large cities its just more pronounced in Portland. That being said it doesn't mean the city cant change and that it can't be what it used to be. There are still alot of positive things that Portland has to offer but it's going to take alot of work and the community really needs to work together to change things.
