Wow! It's too bad you didn't coat the rim of the new freeze plug with permatex so it would seal properly. You might get to do that job over when the new plug begins leaking around the edges. But now you know how to get one out so it won't take so long. Cheers.
Thank you so much for this video. I just purchased a 92 f150 with only 140k original miles. It's been sitting awhile. I flushed the water they had out of the coolant before a big freeze came in and it exposed radiator leaks and this exact freeze plug leak. When you put the bolts back in, what did you torque them to?
I have a 1990 Ford F150. With a six cylinder motor. Is my freeze plug located in the same place as your freeze plug?? And do I have more than one freeze plug in that motor? I'd be grateful for any advice you can give me. Thank you,Tommy.

We didn’t specifically torque them to spec just hand tighten them
Does your truck have 5.8 351 or a 5.0 302? because i am about change the freeze plugs on mine which is 96 f150 XLT WITH A 5.0 302.

I installed my freeze plug &it is still leaking out what can I use
lock tite unless its brass then nothin

You have to reserch because you do have more then one prob about 4 to 6 but i'm not to sure on that year truck.
What size freeze plug was it.
I went to parts store an just told them what kind of truck I had and they gave it to me
