- First tuned VW MK8 GTI in the UK - Now that the ECU'S are unlockable for these vehicles we have been working closely with Racingline to develop software, everything looks promising. Could the curve be more linear rather then the massive low rev spike the graph looks?? Makes for a much nicer power delivery and saves the clutches in the DSG ?
so the stage 1 figures for the mk8 GTI are like what the mk7.5 GTI makes on stage 2 with bolt ons
There's another guy that tunned the mk8 R just wth a stg1 tune and upgraded intercooler put down 420hp

The car starts with 242hp stock the mk8 has a larger turbo so you'll probably be able to get 400hp out of an mk8 with Boltons instead of needing a turbo upgrade like you did on the mk7. That said the interior on these are hideous and I hate that light bar
@@ronburgundy4375 i doubt you will be able to get 400hp those are 7.5R stage 2 numbers maybe around 370hp.
Jump from stage 1 to 2 with bolt ons will not give you another 70hp maybe 30-40hp if you lucky

We had the mk8r was disappointed in the interior and also performance
That said I’m used to my mk3 2.1 stroker 20vt with over 500hp

Do we know if the clutch in the Manual is beefed up in the MK8 GTI? Will I need an upgrade for stage 1?

Great stuff lads , I have the mk8 clubsport 300 , or 316hp stock out the factory , and have r600 pipe and elbow, k and n panel filter , was wondering how it looks at your end for the remap availability for the clubsport / r engined gti

Seriously it’s ridiculously fast. 407.9 ours with no mods so just a flash, stage 2 intercooler etc 430/440.
Just the stage 1 is more than enough, plus the DSG done at the same time

Thanks to the guys at Racingline for your amazing enthusiasm and professionalism. I now have a Stage 1 tune on my Allspace. Power figures are amazing, almost identical to the GTi in this vid. Thoroughly recommended when it's released. Drivability is INSANE with 0-60 down from 6, to 5 seconds. Not bad for a 7 seater megabus

He hasn’t replaced the turbo it’s still stock
MK8 is great, just a shame the inside is awful full of shiny plastics that will show dust and just get scratched

I have a mk7.5 r and went to get a mk8 and decided to keep my mk7.5 i really do not like the new r at all the inside is hideous apart from the wingback style seats i do like them.
