I have the same intake and the racingline pipe kit as well. Since it didnt come with the secondary filter. I wound up ordering the APR one first and 2 days later the racingline one. To be honest I dont mind how the apr secondary filter looks. It just plugs into the the hose thats on the outside. I wasnt in the mood to make a hole in the airfilter box in order to install the racingline secondary filter

You do connect the drain plug just a push fit once you have installed the base .won't go on u till that's installed

did you get a check engine light on the new mk8 racingline muffler delete?

A check engine light came on when we did the intake. Eventually the JB4 cleared everything up. New cars and emissions have to monitor everything way too much.

installing mine now, did you end up installing the coolant hose under the intake?

I left the coolant hose routed over the intake. Owner bought a hose for under install, but the factory installs a clamp you have to cut off and I didn’t want to do that that day. Over is working fine.

Until he adds a tune, not much maybe 10. Turbo spools quicker and sounds better. You really should do an intake when you tune the car anyway.

@@lancesgarage Hmm.... I have tuned 17 cars in my life, never installed or tuned the intake on any of them. Usually intakes are never a restriction and almost 2x capacity for HP growth. Placebo Quicker spool and sound for sure. Also I forgot to mention in many tests "performance" air filters do not filter as good as the OEM ones, leading to increased engine wear.

​@@chadgarcia6364have ever tuned a mk8 gti? Threw a stage 1+ unitronic with intake and short shifter on my mk8. It is a night and day difference my friend.
