      This was from a Russian interview and I think it was misquoted. He did not mean literally the bones will break like what happened to Conor. The best example to explain this is that, Khabib said, "I won against Justin mentally first." Once the mind/mental breaks, the physical/body follows.

      @@afroman4035 I don’t disagree at all. I know for 100% fact it has at least some part in it. Maybe all. I think it’s a mix of the village they grew up in the brotherhood in religion and sport. And bringing that across to the western world where they are the minority in their beliefs and still dominating a sport
      Edit. I’ve always wanted to learn about all religions and understand people more but it’s one of those things we stay ignorant about in the US. We’re typically stubborn to learn other things

    The way his brothers look after him while he is cutting weight is beautiful to see, helping him get dressed, undressed, helping him up, getting things ready for him. To be a champion you need people around you like this to help build you up. Islam will be UFC lightweight champion by the end of 2022 I believe.

      Everyone does this, it's just not documented well. He can throw out his back that dehydrated, or pinch a spinal nerve, or slip a disc, or ... die from a complication of many things. You don't risk such things for semantics, you do the man the justice of taking every precaution you can when he's physically exausted, he's earned atleast that.       Meaning is 'all Praise is due to Allah' we typically say it after any type of good news/success or overcome something difficult. Like after a birth to a win in a fight. it helps supress the ego. To an athiest the equivalent will be to say 'always think you are/were lucky'.     I remember seeing Islam as a young kid in those old Dagestan mountain training videos along with all those other Dagestan guys with Khabib... crazy to see him at this position now.       Cutting this much weight, is simply just cheating. Gaining an advantage and not fighting at his natural weight class. Pathetic, but not surprised as Khabib did the same. It's the only way they can win. Don't even get me started on the IV's they use, which is also cheated.

      Its diff if there is injury or your organ start to not cooperate with your plan.. Most of fighter will start to loss their mind and unstable mental.. Khabib team able to keep the mental and emotion stable is quite impressed actually.. No cursing and no tantrum

      Traditionally men from Dagestan have beard but during the Soviet era Dagestani men not allowed to keep their beard that's why Khabib's father and his generation don't keep their beard. But new generation like Khabib and Islam can keep their beard now. Keep the tradition alive.

Surviving like this for more than a day or two is not feasible because of the strain it places on the body, so they finish the cut right before the weigh ins

      I think he was glad how easy for Islam to cut weight. weight cutting is pretty hard on every fighters. Islam even said that he was happy Khabib is retired because watching Khabib going through his weight cutting really stressed him out emotionally.
