53 yrs old and never brined a turkey because I thought it would make it salty. This thanksgiving I followed your recipe and the turkey was absolutely outstanding. Best turkey I’ve ever done and everyone raved about it. Thank you! Can’t wait to view more of your content.
Let me tell y'all something!!! I followed these exact instructions and I will NEVER and I mean NEVER do it any other way, THE BEST turkey I ever had! It was juicy as h3ll😂 I will never go back to injection, I will brine everything I can from now on, thanks AB
I have never cooked a turkey but was asked by a friend to make one for our Friendsgiving. Looked for brines and used yours except I used white sugar. I brined in the bottom portion of a crab pot for 24 hrs. Then, I slathered a butter compote with rosemary and thyme all over the bird for another 24 hours. Ohhhh we, my friends loved it, and I was so proud. Now I'm being asked to make another one 😂.
I use bay leaves, cloves, black pepper(cracked), lemon and oranges, black tea, and salt and brown sugar.❤ I love your content!
Thank you for this. I love cloves
Ordered my cookbook can’t wait to try more of your recipes… I love brining also!
Black tea?? Will be trying that 💯
Thanks 👋
That’s it, thank u!
I used your brine video last year- my grandfather said it was the best turkey he ever had. So you know I had to come back 😂. Happy holidays!!!
Fr bro same with me now they requesting it this year
I’m using the same one from last year I domes feel like going back to the store🤣🤣
I did it this year and the entire household agreed that it's the best turkey we've ever had!
This dudes the realest guy on CZcams! Fire tips
You killed me! "Once you brine, you never go back." Hilarious.😂
You're a great cooking instructor. Thanks.
And happy Thanksgiving!
Talking Turkey is just what I need.👍😋Yumm'O."
*Happy Thanksgiving 2023*
I brine ALL poultry, I quit with the lemons and oranges and used 1/2 gallon of orange juice. I also use onions. Carry on brother!
Down here in the Louisiana we use half Tony chachrie Creole seasoning and half salt. Some use just the Tony's by itself instead of salt. Luv brining.. Great job..
I like that idea
✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 I put so many people up on game on those big bags from the Dollar tree it ain't even funny going back some years now
I found the channel just in time for thanksgiving. Big ups OG
That's what's up and welcome to my channel 💯👍🏽
For a quick cooling process, put your pot in the sink and put ice around the pot. I don't want to dilute that good brine!! ❤
you know there are ice bags that you can insert in the hot liquid to cool it off, without diluting :)
I made my brine a little stronger knowing i would dilute it
@@SGherghinayes we started using ice bags in the Kitchen at work.we do at least 200 turkeys each day, guess who the brine guy is each year?!🤚
AMAZING!!!! Made this bring for my Thanksgiving turkey it was truly delicious.
The aroma is GLORIOUS!! Thanks AB another great video! Happy Thanksgiving!!
AB bring back the excitement in the kitchen simple and full of flavor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ happy holidays 🦃🍂
I do salt, brown sugar, peppercorns, Orange, rosemary sprigs, and thyme. I will add bay leaf next time. I get a bag of ice and pour the hot brine over the ice. There is usually some ice that doesn’t melt. Put in the bird, add orange and herbs. Put in cool garage overnight.
Hi AB, I checked out your website and all the recipes I want to try made my head spin lol! I've never brined a turkey before, so when I'm ready I'll refer to your brining recipe 😊. As always, thanks for sharing another great one ❤.
I am so excited 🤭👍🏼👍🏼
so good to try the turkey brine!
Thank You AB for printable recipes! It’s life changing for someone like me who’s trying to get it all right on such an important holiday as Thanksgiving. I found this video at the right time, I've never cooked a turkey before and this year we are doing a brine for the first time as well and I feel wayyy more confident tackling this now. Thank you AB!
Happy HOLIDAYS to you and ya family! Thanks for all of the great vids and recipes!!!
Thanks AB. I'm going to use your method.
Being a great cook myself I can do both! Another great video! Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Amazing as always! 🔥👌🏾
Couldn't have come at a more opportune time, I was about to go to the store for the turkey and brine ingredients tonight!
Love the personality! Kept me watching! I will have to try this!
I’m gonna try this for Thanksgiving!! Thanks AB
Love the bag reccomendation!
Those brine bags are life savers. I agree with you, brining is the way to go.
I usually dry brine my turkey, which I'm going to do this year with a Cajun spice blend, but may try this next time. Good stuff AB!
Right on time
Excellent A. B. man I'm buying a turkey tomorrow gonna definitely do this - I already brine all my wild fish, it's a game changer. Have a great Thanksgiving ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! I will do this for my Christmas turkey. Merry Christmas! ❤🎄
Thanks for these tips
I've been cooking for Thanksgiving every year since 2019 and this is the first year I'm actually considering brining I wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not but now that I see that you do it I am definitely going to do it it's an okay for me you're the boss when it comes to cooking
Preciate you AB
Great recipe AB. Mines basically the same except i use add a gallon of cinnamon apple cider. Been brining for yrs. And your right, once you brine that turkey, the hook is in!
Turkey broth looks delicious!😀
Love it!!!
I brine all the time. I found a brine bucket and it is great
Great video. My mom used to Brine her turkeys all the time for the holidays and I would help her out. Since she passed away my sister had been doing the turkey, but I'm hosting Christmas this year so I was taking the duty of brining the turkey. Your video is very helpful so that I can get an idea of what I was getting myself into. Much appreciation, sir. 😊
Fam you really stepping it up with these recipes love it ❤
Thank you
Great Tip!!❤😂
Looking at different methods of brining. Thats for the know how. Much appreciated.
Yum! Looks so good!
So good!
I am an avid briner of poultry. I also inject for larger birds such as turkeys. Looking good!
I made my first brine today! I added sour orange, clementines, a red onion, mustard seeds, all spice, fresh Bay leaves, black pepper, Swedish Pearl sugar, 15 garlic cloves, rosemary, thyme and salt. I've been adding Ice on the hour (no room in the fridge) and the house smells divine!
Whether I cook something or not you are just fun to watch!❤
Maaaaan AB you be getting busy!! I enjoy your videos and knowledge about cooking thank you for sharing them!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
This is your BEST video where you really explain everything and you're not using a turkey brine product that many can't find or afford. You told us all the ingredients we need. Just wish you'd say the actual measurements of the pot and the ingredients. But men don't usually focus on that stuff anyways.
When I tell you I love watching your videos! Whatever I have a taste for I come straight to your page for a recipe. Anyone ask me for a recipe I send them your way❤
Thank you for the video
Ok Iam going to try it
Great video!!! I'm smoking 2 turkeys this Saturday, and I'm adjusting my recipe from last year after watching. Briner/injector for life!!!
Thanks AB
I throw my frozen turkey in a cooler to "brine/thaw" on Monday before "the day". I'm def gonna use your brine mix! We also inject ours w/Tony T's roasted garlic & herb plus 1 stick of garlic butter and rub it with Tony T's, we rub it down, roll in saran the night before he smokes it! OMG so good!
Good idea about the cooler, I'm going to use it
Smart idea because I was actually thinking like how will I store this in refrigerator. Thanks for sharing
Just completed the dunking of the bird. This Brine was easy and smells like Thanksgiving. Thank you, I will check out your other videos :)
I get hyped at holiday brine I already know AB gonna come with some delicious heat lol! Much love from ATL
i can't find a link to those bags. i need those in my life lol
Thank you ❤❤❤❤
You just became my comeback lebron down 3-1 vs warriors. Its my turn to cook a turkey and i got no clue till now.
He’s so chill with it I love it lol
AB man ol man talking bout level up I brine and injected 1st time and it’s a level up best thing I’ve had in my life.
Appreciate you big dawg
Ok I love your cooking
Uncle AB I’m coming to your house for thanksgiving!!!! Thanks for this awesome recipe
You go, boy!!!!❤😊
I love your content you make it ok to do the most or just the minimum.
AB keeping on doing thing Bro, btw i'm brine my turkey with same the ingredients listed on this video, but i'm adding some apple juice, slice oranges and some ground all spice, I did that to my turkey 3 years ago for Thanksgiving's Day it was slamming.
I just got done boiling. About to add ice. Thanks I needed this. Last year I had a kit this year I’m using fresh herbs.
Solid video. My brine is nearly identical except I add beer and then brine the bird in a brine bag (your zipper bag), stored inside a small cooler with ice.
This That Bang Bang Channel. 💪🏾💪🏾💯💯😎😎💃🏽💃🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
💯🤤
Thank You
I love to brine my turkey and chicken. Thank you.
Thank you
Each time l see your receipe, am sure its going to be good.
AB Dropping that culinary SCIENCE. Love it!
As always right on time bruh! I sent this to my niece who's cooking the turkey this year and said she wants to brine the bird and spatchcock. Do you have a video of how you spatchcock turkey? Thanks AB! I have to catch you at the drag strip on of these days and see how my 440 Dart holds up.....lol
Great recipe Ab! Brine is life. Ever since I brined my first turkey I have never looked back. The main reason for brining is to add moisture to the bird and make your cooking more forgiving to avoid getting that nasty dry turkey texture that you probably had in your younger years. Of course if you are infusing things in the bird you might as well impart some flavor in there. Brining will help your turkey no matter how you cook it afterwards (deep fry/smoke/oven/etc.) so give it a try.
I've done brine before. I've waited 24 hours and noticed a little bit of a difference. This year, I tried your brine except I used pure maple syrup with it and also let it sit for 1 1/2 days. Boy oh boy! What a difference! I did notice a bit of saltiness, but not so much that it was a deal breaker. Came out juicy and flavorful. Best turkey I've ever done. Will definitely do again
Amen chef I couldn't have said it better
A b I’ve been brining over 30 years I have never boiled water I always used cold water kosher salt, white sugar ,ice is a must 10 hrs or over nite comes out juice & seasoned too the bone delicious
While buying my turkey lady told me her brining method....get a bucket from Walmarts bakery. $1.00. (18lb turkey). The top has rubber gasket, you pop it close, you have to pry that baby off. The ice to cool the hot brine, and put in bucket to keep cold, is great tip. Lol keeping that in the fridge.
Thanks
Never brined anything , im sure it makes a total difference thank you👍 AB
Thanks my guy! You bringing that smoked turkey video next? I need to see it through!
Loved this recipe! Very close to mine i use apple cider and oranges only difference. Brinning is the way to go !!
Ever inject in addition to brining?
Patiently waiting
Soon!
I living and learning I never did this process of doing a brine.I just use butter and my seasoning over night and put in oven.💕
Good stuff there! I use a 50/50 apple cider and water, salt, brown sugar, peppercorns, bay leaf, a knob of ginger, garlic, onions, oranges, Gochujang and a cinnamon stick. The Gochujang gives it an awesome colour and fruity flavour, with very little heat. Since it is just the two of us now, I spatchcock it and smoke it. I smoke my par-roasted root veggies during the last hour of smoking. Thank you for sharing! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi. Is your brine about a gallon with 50/50 cider and water? How much gochujang do you use? Sounds good!
You also you need an orange stuffed with onions rosemary butter and an apple
@@GospelOutside I usually do a 13lbs bird, and I use 1/2 gallon of cider and 1/2 gallon of water, double it if your bird is bigger, then I pile on the ice. I usually use 1/2 cup of gochujang. have a great Thanksgiving!
@@damien1781 With these powerful flavours going, the apple is not necessary in fact it will be lost, I focus on the citrus angle with this, a lemon or lime would accompany this wonderfully!
@@bdctrans70 yea I was thinking actually the same thing after I typed it. I have stuffed apples before last year when I made an Asian style turkey and it was so delicious.
Love this have you ever brine the turkey and put it on the grill to make turkey bbq?
I do the brine and also deep-fry that big bird. I'm good with my fry technique but I'm ready to learn more about the brine!
Is it safe to brine and deep fry??
“WHO GOT THIS TYPE OF SPACE?” 🤣🤣🤣
Hurry up and use me 🤣 Great Video!!
I'ma pour some dark beers in the brine to cool it off. Thank you for the video
