The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. 1- Check Clutch housing If There us play there is Vibration.
2- Clutch Plate Pressure Plate wears then there is vibration.
3- if Your Gear box is damage there is vibration, like Dogclutch is Scour or any gear is damage then vibration is there.
4- check all Mounting bolte tight them.
5- Check Handel cone set if they are damage then there is vibration.
6- if Bike chesi is not alline means Front wheel and Back wheel is not in straight line while driving there is a vibration.
7- check Wheel bearing front and Back if play there is vibration.
8- Check both wheel Ring through.
9- Check Swing Arm bushes if they tear then Vibration is there.
10- check chain spoket
11- Install Steering Damper

1. Tank mounts make sure your tank has all rubbers.
2. Headlight the place between headlight metal ring and plastic doom will create noise if not mounted properly.
To be honest RX series are very well refined just the plastics and other things should be mounted properly!

The vibration is also caused by number plates which are not correctly fit and also by shaking break and clutch levers for which lever washers should be fit and tightened to stop it from vibrating and handel part we also get ready clip type bars to control handel vibrations in long rides which is easy fit and remove on rx handel

Servo is the best 2T oil for rx and motul is best for engine

1. How Much Mileage We Are Going To Lose If We Remove The Muffler?
2. Does Removing The Muffler Effects Engine?
Using a stock Muffler in stock engine will give around 40 and while using a open-type Muffler (Muffler with all removed blockages) will give you around 36 to 38 in rx 100.But in 135 If so this you will surely get 5km drop as energy induction (yeis),low output ratio to it's CC and the muffler give more mileage so muffler is a main cause of mileage in 135 but not rx100 as compression are different.

@@lokeshwar.selvan8453 That probably doesn't affect your engine(But they say ,meaning that it's reduces),using a stock Muffler ,it leaves less unburnt petrol While using the open-muffler you get more unburnt petrol .This is the reason for mileage drop and its doesn't affect your engine .But porting , performance oriented and oil etc is reason for seizing of 2strokes.

My Rx 100 just gives up at 65kmph. Doesn't go any faster than that. Had engine optimization ( slip) work done in2018. Also the engine rev is too high in noise as if a big machine is running but lacks speed. Can you pls advise@speedylio. 👍👍
