The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. TVS Victor now competes with Yamaha RX.

Motul 20W 50 semi synthetic > Motul 20W 40 mineral oil.
Previously as you were using 20W 40 I’ve been using it now.

Hello, previously I was using Motul 20W40.
As I was going out of town I handed my bike to my mechanic and told to put 20W50 semi synthetic oil but instead he put 15W50 mineral Oil and he says it’s okay.
Will there be a problem now for the engine?
yess, it can damage the engine. engine will heat more quickly and chances of stalling are high

I use yamalube 2 stroke gear oil it works perfectly mileage 35 .Good power delivery no issues till date after my restoration . And i dont use 2t oil pump i prefer premix according to my ride i add oil mostly 40ml per litre ..
I will try semi synthetic oil on long rides . ❤️

Bro....I have changed to motul 20w50 semi synthetic oil....since I have changed to this oil my gear feels very hard and and 1st gear does not go easily and pickup and heating issue also came out....any idea as to why this is happening bro?? I have a yamaha rx135....thnk you

No need to use semi synthetic oil in rx 100 because it does not lubricate your piston it only work for gear n clutch plates so why to use semi synthetic oil only for gear box n clutch
