The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. 2T oil used- Mak2t- not satisfactory, Servo 2t used for last 12 yrs- Best 2t oil but good for Premix, and if 2t pump is working then have to adjust to minimum otherwise smoke. First time using Motul- Good but actually it's not low smoke. In stock Green Castrol Go 2t to be used for first time.... expecting a good result.

On My Rx100 i prefer premix & 2 T Pump together but Note in premix i put less oil as compered to my friends go premix way ( This method gives a peaceful mind ).
During COVID my bike was still for 6 months straight. At the time of starting the bike i went with premix way & added engine oil ( * Note Engine Oil * ) to the 2T oil tank just to lubricant the whole engine .
In Goa well known machanics of Rx use Premix in petrol tank and Engine Oil Or Castrol oil also Coconut oil as 2t oil during first start after rebuilding the engine .
The bike are kept for 1 hour just idling allow to Lubricant as good as possible .
The reason for doing this is that Block Boring in Goa is not accurate & many cases of piston sizing during break down period .
The amount of smoke generated is worth looking at . 😀Share me your thoughts .

Pri mix kitne liter petrol me kitna ml oil use karna cahiye
4% oil.. meaning 40ml oil per liter
Depend karta hai aapki average speed aur RPM kya rehti hai.
Agar slow chalte ho, mileage nikal huye 40-50 toh 20ml per litre is good.
Aur normally 60-70-80 chalte ho toh 30ml.
Aur agar har waqt bhagate ho, 80-100-120
Toh better hai ki 40-50ml per litre daalo.
Pollution zyada hoga but engine safe rahega.

You can try and tune the carb for mileage ! It will increase the mileage a bit❤ !
If you want a good amount of mileage , try Indian carb with Japan engine , mileage will be above 35👍🏼 ! This was said and done by an RX Expert , so that's true incident !
