01:15 I have four small, double ended carabiners that are placed when the over-centre latches are closed on the roof. They go on the dash or my car key-ring when the latches are open - it's a good check.
A very good walk around. The tip about the awning legs is a great idea even though I have a mechanical awning which will work for me. The table option is very clever.
What do you think about gas heating versus diesel heating? By the time I got my van, diesel heating wasn't an option, I wanted to go gas-less with induction cooking as I have 2 x 300Ah Lithiums, 1200W of solar and a 2300W inverter.
My gas bottles are 2 x 4.5 with bespoke fittings, so I carry an eight kilo for the Weber Baby Q with standard fittings.
You recently asked me a question about a DPF delete - it's not worth it if you require a pink slip every 12 months. In the ACT, it's possible for quite a while. Other States and Territories, not so. Any good exhaust shop can disguise a DPF delete, with the DPF construct remaining in place.

They are an impressive unit, however I think the draw bar is too short and those boxes would get damaged easily. Not sure if you mentioned if there was solar on top and just wondering how much you could get into the pantry door bags and still be able to close the door.
Surprised you didn't say too much about the rear suspension set up regarding the trailing arms. After watching your offroad vid, it appears the ramp over angle is compromised by the water tank and departure by the rear Step. You don't need that rear step and it wouldn't take much to damage it.
Set up isn't too bad though.

Hey mate. The bed has surprised us so far as we thought it would not be that comfortable, we have slept well on it. Maybe add a topper for longer trips though.
Honestly I haven’t measured ball weight, the compliance plate says 268kg at tare. So I would say it would be around 300kg. Our last van was 350kg ball weight and the uev14 doesn’t sag the rear of the ute anywhere near as much.

Is the heater loud under the bed?
With the electric awning have you been in the rain and do you get rain coming between the awning and van? I know the 180 has a bit of a gutter with the bag but I do like the electric awning with an added privacy wall along the length when required.

@@absicme1505 we’ve used the air-con only as a heater and it works fine, is about as loud as any other caravan air con. Seems to be ever so slightly quieter than our previous van’s AC which was a Truma. Keep in mind, most AC units in vans won’t heat if it’s approx below 4°
Yes there are 2 Sirocco fans either side of the main bed. The gas heater is excellent!! And super quiet. It’s quieter than the Webasto diesel heater in our previous van and heats up quicker also.
No rain coming in off the awning between it and the van but we do get water blowing in on the kitchen when it’s out. I know Conqueror are looking into an additional canvas piece that will go at the kitchen end to prevent this.
