    I love POTF2. I was born in 1982, so by the time I was old enough to want Star Wars figures, they were long gone. Then these figures came out, and I had a ton of them and a whole bunch of vehicles. The first one I got was the Boba Fett on the red card (I think the Toys R Us in my area got the first two waves at the same time, which was why I got Boba Fett first). I was definitely an opener.

      @LarryDavid47 Před rokem

      boba fett was not in the original first wave. He was released the second year. First he was released at the disney store in Florida, then the series was released to the commercial stores after. The first POTF2 Boba fett figure was part of wave two.

    This remains my favorite SW line of all-time. I was a huge SW fan as a young boy in the early to mid 90s, but there wasn't much merchandise besides a few video games and the micro machine line to sate my appetite. I wanted actions figures and toys so bad, but they were a decade out of production, and as a young boy in the pre-internet days, I had no way to find the vintage stuff from collectors (and my mother likely wouldn't have wanted to pay the collectors' prices either). When I saw these advertised in an issue of Star Wars: Insider, I was thrilled and grabbed every character I could when they appeared in stores a few months later.
    I actually liked the stylized muscular builds of the figures. Thought it gave them an expressionistic appeal. I find their design far-superior to the original vintage line's goofy-looking faces, blocky builds, and stiff, undynamic arm and leg poses. (I understand the nostalgia and history for the original line, but, seriously, their design has aged very poorly.) I managed to acquire most of the action figures and vehicles in the POF2 line, and still have them all to this day. Only collected a select few number of pieces from the subsequent SW lines since then. SW toys became way oversaturated after the prequels. (The Hasbro lines got rebooted more often than Lucas' changed the OT!) I went from being starved for SW toys to there being so much SW that I lost my appetite. Also, the later, more movie-accurate lines were just never quite as cool to me as POF2.

    I was born in 89. I saw Star Wars for the first time in 1995 when the special auditions came out on VHS and fell in love. These figures where for me what vintage Kenner was for most 80s kids.

    Another 5 star episode buddy.. I always look at POTF to be a successful TOY series.. We forget Toys are created for kids to play with. Because of the saturation of the line, many kids got to have fun playing with these toys.. To the Collector it as a failed line and all the short comings of the line is what we are left with. I was too old for these but it arrived at the perfect time for my little brother and I remember how much he LOVED playing with these action figures. It was like I was reliving my own experience in 80s with Kenner

    What I like most about POTF2 are the enhanced versions of the vintage vehicles. I have the Millennium Falcon from this line hanging on my wall, and it's the perfect and most affordable Faclon for 3.75 scale collectors. I espeically like the Shadows Of The Empire subline (I'm a Legends junkie).

    Let's see, I had Vader, Jedi Luke, Stormtrooper Luke Leia, the Hoth medical droid, two Jawas, the astromech with the bad motivator, Endor Han, Carbonite Han, Stormtrooper Han(Five. Weeks. :o), Boussh Leia, Slave Leia, Skiff Guard Lando, Obi-wan, and ghost Obi-wan (second hand so no wait on that one). I would eventually get artoo and threepio, but not until the line where threepio comes apart and artoo has for the scope that pops out of his head. From that line I also got bespin Luke, Hoth Chewie, and Darth Vader With The Removable MF Helmet(a personal holy Grail of mine ever since I saw pictures of it in a magazine).

I restarted collecting star wars figures the year after I graduate highschool and basically never stopped since then. I've really really gotten into the POTF2 and Power of the Jedi lines. BACK IN TEH DAY I HEARD: When these FIRST hit stores, there was a very limited run/supply of each figure in existence. the ORIGINAL (first run) Princess Leia potf2 figure was deemed facially too masculine and was retooled/rereleased. When the second one started hitting stores, the original released Leia figure was selling for a lot of money back then on card (ebay). The variants in this line drove me nuts. I don't remember which was more valuable at the time, the long lightsaber or short. And then the Princess Leia has a variant with something that has to do with her belt buckle. The Boba Fett figure also had a couple as well.
