I don't think a lot of people realize that every class takes only 1 patch to become "the most broken". If Ironhammer does it good every class will feel equal or have their own unique strength that is fair each others pretty soon.
sometimes developers make a class unbalanced on purpose for a single patch or two so people jump in the hype train of playing the broken class, and then they nerf it down slightly bellow average to refresh the meta.
so this is why i see at minimum 4 clerics per run... epic

tip for fighting druids try and force rat form while u have judgement if u have decent cast speed 30-40% it casts judgement pretty quick and usually catches them off guard, it has gotten me a lot of druid kills

the class is strong and the blunt damage should be nerfed because the damage of a falchion with amor pen is already super strong but the 15% on top is too much, however playing cleric there has been too many time where people just try to face tank smite and then die in 3 hits. I feel most of it is due to people not seeing many clerics until this point and just apeing into smite. Judgement is also stupid strong in the right scenario but if they can kite you or jump you it becomes harder to make affective. I hope they nerf the effectiveness of cleric's skills but still make it a viable class in solos because it would suck if the class is nerfed back into a heal-bot

cleric has less strength than fighter even with blunt damage the morgenstern on cleric do less damage than a falchion on fighter
@@nomurabeta1785 Frontline cleric's plate gives strength, but fighter will have more strength. The 15% blunt more than makes up for the lower strength and the armor pen is a nice bonus
@@sungodniku talking about the Morningstar, it does the same damage as falchion, no one uses the other cleric weapons other then the flanged mace and even that gets out shined by the Morningstar

It’s broken but I also believe that it is a good counter to some classes and don’t think it should be nerfed to bad

It's easily beaten by kite and magic builds but nobody is ever okay with Cleric doing well in solos. As someone who has mained cler for 4 seasons, don't expect this to last long :c
@@TheHiddenPoetclerics whole thing is rangers and Wizards can take well from range or any class rhat does keep its range well, on the other hand cleric is actually great against warlock and Druid due to being a good phantomize counter.
The issue is that Cleric isn't really even all that OP at the moment. A majority of the community is just Fighters and Warlocks, so of course there's going to be a lotta bitching.

Nah just new gs matchmaking, you can run normal kits with a couple blues and greens now at 124 or less gear score and get matched with same 124 or less, that and all the new players from free to play make this a lot easier than when the game was dying at 5k players

It really is just Faithulness that is the problem maker here. Not being able to run away after getting hit once is obviously not fair and should either be nerfed or straight up removed.

Yeah the matchmaking is weird. You'll see people from less than 100 to 600 gs in the same lobby. I think Ironmace needs to bracket it a little more.

Bard isn't broken, it's actually in a good spot. I'm not saying it isn't strong, it is very strong, it is just in a good spot. Cleric is too powerful though, a high move speed PDR build that can 2 or 3 shot most players including barbs is ridiculous and makes Warlocks look cheap by comparison. One thing you're missing out on Dimo is that spells on Paladin Cleric is greater than the damage reduction, especially the extra 5 weapon damage buff.
I recently started playing cleric, since I've started playing the game again. I have to say, as a relatively unexperienced player, cleric seems to be tough. Cleric is like a tank, that also can pack a punch, but is sluggish and slow. Cleric is strong against debuffs and can use buffs. Barb is raw power and damage, cleric is more like that slow wall coming to you, that you need to wittle down.

I fought a 40-45% pdr cleric the other day with 295 ms, caught me with 310 ms as a warlock and smacked me in the back 3 times with a flanged mace and stunned me enough to kill me running full speed, its broken. Especially if you dont use a shiepd and just a weapon, lowest ms debuffing weapons aside from rogue.

@thelazyoz2061 I cursed, put book away and had about 5 feet distance, I had and still do the same with 90% of other people and know how to distance, clerics movespeed and reach with maces is just unmatched.
Are you sure about that gear score lobby change? Was that in official patch notes or announcements?
💯 iron mace makes hidden patches. If you'd be around for longer, you wouldn't have been asking this question. Iron Mace is known to make hidden patches/changes that you will only discover by playing the game.
@@DnDimo I was here since the beginning, kind of. I didn't really get into the nitty gritty details until the game dropped the circle mechanics. I know they had some stealth nerfs that turned out to be unintentional (druid shift + jump change). Has this been confirmed? I joined a match with around 150 gs right after seeing this video and I saw a guy with 50ish. But maybe I queued into a non-solo lobby, now that I think about it...
brother no only do you not watch I don't think you could listen either. Solo Normals (not duo or trio, because they are based on highest GS of the party memebers, for example 1 guy with 150 gs the other with 50, the system will send them in high end lobbies)

You got the jump and played your position properly and seemed to land most of your strikes. Your issue was gear selection. You had green stiletto and completely unoptimized gear... you would have won that encounter 100% with equal gear to Dimo

Maybe he has some stats on the book. Stats are only "activated" on items you hold in your hands (referring to weapons and utility items)

correct me if I'm wrong, but nothing has changed for cleric since last season really? so what's made cleric op now. I couldn't see anything to suggest it.
Few Ranger players, absolutely no Wizard players and Warlock got nerfed. Clerics weakness is that unlike Barb and Fighter he is given no means of gapclosing. However if almost all pvp encounters willingly close the gap for you into meelee combat that weakness falls away.

Cleric has always been like this though, except for the addition of champion armor and +5% to blunt mastery. It hard counters fighter and barb, although warlock and wiz hard counters cleric. There are just too many noobs that just run into smite or don't try to bait it out at all. Game is balanced around trios not solos btw.
Warlock counters Full Plate Cleric, but any of the faster Cleric Builds whilst using Protect from Evil destroys Warlocks.

I think the no-spell melee cleric is very OP but the spell cleric feels not too OP. They should remove smite and divine protection from Cleric and give it to future paladin class
the only reason people think cleric is OP is because cleric is actually a threat now instead of having the MS of person that just got hit by achilles strike while swinging they can actually move. they really didn’t receive any buffs in the past few patches it’s just the combination of clerics being the worst dog shit solo class for months then they buffed plate armor MS and now people think they can just bully clerics like they used to be able to.
Nah, clerics be killing anyone a melee range while having the versatility of spell casting/heals. It WILL be nerfed soom im sure, just hoepfully no overnerfed like iromace likes to proceed usually.

I am very confused on where is this supposed new patch. There is nothing on steam, nothing in the game. There is no update. The last one was a hotfix on the 24th and it did nothing about clerics. You say here their spells were fixed but I see none of that. It was a nerf warlock patch...

I start playing Barb, nerfed, start warlock, nerfed. start cleric. at least hes strong now. i havnt played since playtest 3 or 4. now i got 70 hrs in a week or so. the other classes are boring these 3 i like.

I don't really think Cleric is overtuned, I still think Bard is the better Solo class. Also like 50% of the people you killed in this video like stood still and some didn't even bother attacking and died like the fighter at the end there holding a good kit just activated Second wind and crumped up and died. and he wasn't the only one. I probably don't have as many hours as you but I have about 200 hours and I have never seen this many people let alone in a single recording or between levels 1-20 that just stand there and die with kits on.

Cleric users are the same as any people abusing the best class. It is best to ignore good players saying its not broken, they just want to use the class for their own gain
Idk man, you watch a thelorr video of him on a solo ranger and Ranger looks busted af. Yami rings out songs and fully buffed in seconds then surv bows you down with bard, Oogie parries everything into riposte with a fighter using long sword. You have to keep in mind these people making videos are showing highlights and probably 80% of the player base is Steam re-release players with less than a month of play time.
Cleric is good, but a good druid will just wall you, poke you in cat, double jump pounce with chicken cat and fly across a room at elevation, warlocks will top off HP in 3 seconds off their hydra the moment you give them any space or they go through a door (at one point he says there’s 6 locks in the game yet cleric is BuStEd), rogues will cutthroat and nuke you from behind then create a little range and throwing knife you down, everything is good in the right hands and the player base curve hasn’t leveled out yet.
@@stealthyturtles its about statistics and objective. cleric is safest against the widest range of classes. their perks are also broken. cleric is top 2 for leaderboard. the other class is warlock. bard isnt seen on solo leaderboard until 15th rank so id say rondel fighter is 3rd best class then maybe bard or druid.

Are you kidding? It's all skill based. I was spectating a wizard yesterday who clapped me with a staff. Then when I looked at his gear, he had a bunch of legendary stuff like for example his staff, which I believe did 46dmg, plus it had true damage on it. Plus he stacked more true damage on his expensive gear. Then on top of that, he used the Ignite which gave him more damage, and he used haste and invis to chase you down and club you with the staff. He absolutely decimated the lobby. This game really comes down to skill and experience in my opinion. You can make any class seem broken when you play good!!!
@@DriftEntry101 Just because you get skill diffed doesn't mean everything is balanced. It's absolutely not. Equally skilled players will get diffed by the class imbalance almost every time.

Besides hard counters, I feel like two skilled players have a 50/50 scenerio if they are both geared but that's just my humble opinion thus far. I remember hearing barb is dead and then I go watch a few dimo videos and he claps everything in sight.. its pretty funny actually

Currently landmine rogue/barb and rangers and slayer fighter kills clerics maybe even bard cleric is not that strong in the current state of the game imo.

slayer fighter loses to cleric that’s just facts. rogue can kill cleric u less it’s speed cleric or divine prot or giga pdr with judgement or like 60% of the cleric builds. rangers only kill cleric if u giga ape a ranger and they are shooting u but that’s is just dumb ranger has little kill pressure on cleric. bard just full loses to about every build unless ur the max ms build thats is hella squishy
the only person who matches up relatively well is barbarian or a rogue that gets a good jump in him bc rogue is also in a pretty good spot now

Before it was The Most Broken Fighter Variation "Slayer"
Before that it was most broken 500 gold build.
Before that it was The Most Broken "High MS, High PDR, Ronder Dagger Build" which got buffed.
Before that we got Most Broken Barbarian Build that got buffed right after massive nerf.
and before that we Got Most Broken Warlock which was dominating Lobbies for nearly a full year without any change.

When withards are in a bad shape and has short life span, the cleric has one less class to worry about. After playing for 5 hours I came across 2 geared wizards with legendries. All the budget wizards didn't stood even a slight chance
@@DnDimo Maybe our experiences differ, but I have no problems dealing with Clerics and I've seen a very healthy balance of all classes geared and ungeared on US West servers in both Norms and HR.. It really comes down to the player and their play style in my opinion. If you're scared of the Cleric then you already lost the fight before it started.
INSANELY CAP. geared cleric are moving at 105-108%, immune to melee dmg, very easy to build magic resistance for and can 2 shot all but barb with how insanely broken smite is right now
