Title had me thinking Tabilo beat Novak, Zverev, Fritz and Shelton all at once
😂
basically has
The title says he "stunned" Djokovic, Zverev, Fritz, and Shelton. I bet they were all stunned!
All they and more!
he can do that bro he is a beast
As a chilean tennis fan, I came mainly to see Tabilo, but Zhang impressed me so much, he stomped that first set man
Zhang! So so good. Wonder why we don’t see more of his matches
Good one Zhang. Well played.
Shelton had an early plane to catch and made it with time to spare. 😏
@@binkyxz3: Zhang is a beast. He could win this one. 😲
@@notsohandytim5090 Yea, he could, but the field is loaded. I did not mean to downplay his performance.
I’m impressed how well Fritz is playing in clay. Previous year he was demolished. He understood the assignment and practice in clay a lot probably. Well done 👍
Last year he beat Tsitsipas in his beloved Monte Carlo and reached the SF there
@@gabrielametodieva8360 True, Fritz isn't that bad on clay at all. I see him go deep in Rome and RG this year, let's see.
Zhang played some excellent tennis there, very well played.
Tabilo played lights out, fearlessly... and got the reward he deserved! I'm not gonna make too much of the 'bottle incident', especially after having seen Djoker clowning around with a helmet and practicing!
That was one hell of a match from Zhang, to take out Shelton so plainly! Good for him! 🙂
If Zverev is able to reach close to his 2022 level, he can be one of the favourites for RG with current form/injuries in Top10
That zverev won't back again
Thiem hopefully will redeem himself.
@@pauljohnson6019 We all want that, but he announced his retirement at the end of the season, the man has not much left in the tank.
@@santiagochaparro3099 Yes, that's why, he should go out- with a bang, at least one RG Grand Slam, to celebrate.
@@pauljohnson6019yeah easier said than done dude
Congratulations! Tabilo great win keep striving for the stars ☝️👍✔️
Thanks for posting the bit at 8:14-8:32, the true highlight of the day...
8:15 woah crazy highlights!!!
They could have included a point from another match or even from that same match, instead we see Korda doing his walk and serve prep
And at such an important point as well…0-0
That's clearly an editing error, they kept a part that that was supposed to be cut away.
maybe it was to show the crowd taunting him. Even is its not clear. I saw Korda dissing the crowd yesterday
Zhang you disciplinarian 🔥👋
First time seeing ZHANG’s game. How good he is!
The loss does not diminish Novak's excellent tennis records. To me, he is still the best!
Shelton is still a lot of room for improvement
But Zhang played very well
Fs! A lot of what he wanted to do is neutralized on this surface. He definitely has to figure out out to use his game on the dirt!
Overrated american
is it just me or does shelton not have a reliable backhand?
@@BiffJohnsonIII his backhand is actually pretty solid. He hits it low, flat, and can drive it with angle when in good position. Lots of his errors come from his forehand - and it's understandable - it's huge and error prone.
Zhang is pretty solid all around player. Like his style hope to see him in more tournaments.
The end of the big 3 era is near
well said
Being replaced by earthlings once again. It was unrealistic to think there would be another group that would supplant them, and now it's clear, there might not be even one worthy successor for years to come.
Who are the big 3?
@@wreckim are you just straight up ignoring sinner and alcaraz their existance? I mean they are playing at an incredibly high level... Everyone is always romanticizing generations of the past. Just like people would say agassi and sampras would be miles better than federer and nadal could achieve to be. Obviously the big 3 were insane, but saying there is worthy successors is just plain ignorant
edit: spelling mistake
@@Thkmra federer, nadal and djokovic
Wtf was that from Darderi. 130 kph average Forehand Speed with just 6 unforced Errors in the First set. He player very good ❤
Darderi played very good first set
when the times are getting faster than you think and your body move so hard but slowly, though some effort you try the fate is belongs to everybody .....adios ...big3 we gonna miss you alot...
Fritz and Dimitrov have class
Tabilo channeled his 'inner Nadal.'

@@pipe_sporting_player22 😂 Nofap mode.
Zhang rockin the rookie federer hair, gonna need the hair routine asap
he is actually naturally curl. love his style
My Chinese dad has curls like Zhang, too bad I didn't get the gene from him :(
The more I notice hair like that, the more I get depressed that I'm losing mine and will never be able to rock good looking styles like that
@@jonas8993 don't feel depressed, you have millions of companions :-)
@@mikef6399 who?
There's a new guard coming snd from what I can see, TENNIS'S FUTURE LOOKS FANTASTIC!!!!
Today was a very beautiful day for tennis
Thanks for this highlights!!
Djokovic blamed his sense of "balance." That could be the sense that he's not playing as well as he is used to, perhaps a small sign of decline? We'll see what he does at the French Open, which is more important to him than the Italian Open.
Losing this way is really concerning! The end might be closer than his ranking suggests!
True! 😊
Sorry but nope 😂😂
For every loss you're going to talk about retirement ?
@brucewayne2480 The handwriting has been on the walls for a minute now, some of you just don't want to accept the fact that his best playing days are over, although he was able to win 2 Grand Slams last year, his level had already started to decline about 3 years ago. It was just that the younger guys did not step up and make him pay, now some of these players are. 🙄 It is the natural order of things in the tennis world, sooner or later, the younger is going to beat the older player
@darrylperry648 You mean THREE grandslams. He won THREE grandslams last year and made the final in the other one 😅😅 Get your facts right! You're well off! He was as close as you can get to achieving the calendar slam and yet you think that 6 months later that his days are over. LAUGHABLE. What I will say is that Im praying for him because the bottle incident is somewhat concerning..concussions aren't a joke.
The way tabilo played was amazing, so consistent and powerfull shots. I can´t believe that Djokovic blamed the bottle.
😂😂😂
He said that it maybe affects him, obviosly yes(a strong hit in the head 1 and half days before a match), but tabilo played pretty well, even if the hit wasn't there he could lose anyway
He didn’t blame the loss on the bottle
Well, as you're not privy to how Djokovic felt after that nor to what his medical team have found, you're in no position to say that. When the bottle hit, he didn't just rub his head, he collapsed to the ground.
Having said that, it's apparent that finally there are many new players like Tabilo now unfazed by taking on big names, which is why I think it will prove very difficult for anyone to match any of the big three in titles won.
Maybe he "bottled it"? Who knows...
No arrogant actuations from Shelton this time,
Tabilo was in the zone, and Novak made too many errors
The end of an era right before our eyes. Congrats to Tabilo.
Can't call it until after Wimbledon
Shelton doing a full andy roddick impression. Shows up on the scene with a big flat error prone forehand. Then, to cut down on errors, he tries to put more spin on his forehand and now its weak and feeble and drops short all the time.
Zhang is a great player un clay
Monteiro is specialist at clay. I dont think Zhang will win..
False, he'll lose his next match lmao. Inconsistent mug
@@michaelmagaji7146 Monteiro or Zhang? Monteiro I agree he was inconsistent. But he is in the best run of his life. 8/9 since madrid, wins x Tsisipas, Monfils, Jordan Thompson, Moutet, Lajovic. This is in the last 3 weeks.
Zhang is specialist on clay. Defeated Monteiro. I watch last year in Kitzbuhel and i liked his game
@@dynamokiev5886 Monteiro is specialist too. But today Zhang was unbeatable.
For us Brazillian, we support a lot for thiago monteiro and wild, but we know that monteiro is a Top 40 level only in clay and wild a top 55/50 player all court.
But...Joao Fonseca is different of everything, he is obsessed at be number 1. And the worst court from him is clay and he lost from Tabilo 6x4 / 6x7 / 4x6. With 17 years ..
Is difficult to us waiting because It's been 24 years since Guga's last title and 11 years since Belucci's last SF. But Joao will be a reality
What happened with djokovic second serve????
Zhang was in the zone.
Zhang was on fire!!
Fun to see Shelton losing.
C'mon Tennis TV, why not Monteiro's match?
Every round is the same thing. They are wait Monteiro be SF for showing.. because monteiro's game was the best of today
Do you knuckleheads know you can look at the channel and find Thiago's match? Which was posted roughly 8 hours before you were whining here?

@@SimonJack94 Probably why there was a highlight posted of it.
Where is Monteiro?
In Rome. Why?
Monteiro have played yesterday. Now he will face Zhang. For the quarter finals!
Tabilo 🇨🇱💪
You can clearly tell there was something off with Shelton, hope he recovers and comes back stronger.
Que torneo el de Roma ❤
I am not a Djokovic fan. I acknowledge my dislike for him but to see him grow old and losing to young players, it made me feel guilty and remorseful. In the end, this is just a sport. Djokovic doesn't deserve hate. He is a great champion and the end of his career is extremely nigh. I am sorry Novak for cursing you in my head. You deserve respect and dignity just like Federer and Nadal. You, Federer and Nadal will be eternalized by these mind blowing matches. Best of luck to you.
Well said..
This was such a mature and wonderful post. I wish all the good things for you and yours ❤
Get a grip. He does not have cancer, just a bad day.
Very clear Tabilo outplayed Novak, nothing more nothing else.
TABILO ALCANZO. EL ULTRAINSTINTO....
DIVEL DIOS😂
Did anybody know on which surface they play at the olympic games in Paris?
Tabilo is very sharp with his shots and more ball controls
Come on hermano Jano, best for you!
first time hearing zverev grunting like a man
Been doing that for the past few tournaments.
Interesting observation lol
@@cvcfoundation8413 i can't stand his "normal" grunting, so it's def noticeable lol
No zverev he Is a great player and he di noise cause of dardieri and public so disturbing
he trolled darderi who also started grunting
I’ve seen a fire in Korda recently. He is beginning to understand that to win he will need to be more ruthless, calculating, and aggressive. He needs the spirit that winning is the only option. Go for it with everything you got.. the Nadal attitude. Probably all the greats of tennis had a mindset like that.
Great win for Taylor 👍
VAMOOSS ALEJANDRO!!!!
Someone tell Shelton you cant win matches with just a big serve!
Well you can but it seems like not against a guy who can return your serves. Once the ball is neutralised it often feels like it’s 50:50 or even he’s in disadvantage because he gets inpatient and doesn’t build up the point.
On top of that he’s a very poor returner, one of the worst in the top 50. Zhang was serving 37% first serve in set 1 and Shelton won 3 points!
And his serves are far less effective than Rodick's.
John Isner can tell him. Isner is taller, 6'10", the tallest tennis player I know, always fires out aces, but never win big matches. At Dallas open last year (ATP 250 last year, 500 this year), in the final, Isner had 40+ aces, still lost to Yibing Wu.
Spoiler blocker.....oh wait
Djokovic double faulting is stunning by itself. 😳
Happy for Zhang for sure!
Great player with Top 10 potential or as high as he wants to aim really!
But what happened with Shelton?
I had high hopes for him in Rome where people typically support players with attitude!
Well Zhang:
You better make it worth it sacrificing Shelton in Rome!
Good luck Zhang! Well played as always!
I luv the game
taylor fritz is the chipotle boss
10:08 there's a guy who's all at sea with his footwork on clay!
Where's Monteiros and Borges matches?!
Faster, hit harder, more endurance. Young lions overtaking the old. Writing on the wall. Djokovic can be beaten if you believe and put the pressure on him.
Why does the court seem to play so different at night vs day here? During the day it looks super fast
It's so weird hearing different grunt form Zverev lol
Sensing a bit of that US-China tension on that last match. 😂
They smiled at each other and shaked hands at the end.
@@yongli4304 correct, I was making a joke… as in our politicians should do the same… 😂🤣😂
After Djokovic retires, he'll buddy up with Tom Brady, and they'll be two wild and crazy guys.
He's already retired, along with Nadal, they're just playing for the fame now, but I think they know, next Gen finally are going to take over, Hubi put Fed out at Wimbledon, Sinner put Novak out at AO, Alcaraz will finish the job at French Open, like he was going to do last year, before the cramps.
@pauljohnson6019 like he was going to do... but he didn't. What else was he going to do?.
@@pauljohnson6019 the match he was already losing ? Cramps just an excuse so he didn’t get beat like a drum

Wow Ben Shelton really needs to work on his early game. He’s doing a rune and making lots of early mistakes and then switching a switch late on, accept this guy isn’t managing to switch that switch. His serve is great when it’s on point, otherwise he has a floppy forehand. Too much mistakes.
Wish Shelton plays as much as he talks!
When Shelton plays with somebody who does not trash talk, Shelton gets silenced.
You see it in Nadal and Djokovic - they just don't move their feet like they used to and that hurts their entire game.
Looks like finally after Sinner softened Djokovic with all those wins over him last year that NDs head is finally beginning to melt and can't take the heat anymore..once that little seed of doubt creeps in, it's very, very difficult to stop it ;)
It has been 3 things, his defeat in Wimbledon to Alcaraz, his defeat in AO (the worst) and the ridiculous match against Nardi.
It has been too much.

Was Zverev grunting because the other guy was first?
I will be glad when clay season is done. I just can't love it.
I thought I’m the only one…
Well, the other half of the tennis fans will be sad. As Sinatra said….. that’s life.
Besides the bottle on his head incident, I am sure Rafa getting knocked out also affected Djokovic mentally. We are witnessing the closing of an amazing era in tennis. The will to fight on, as the last of the trio of gladiators, could be waning. Djokovic could soon be following in the footsteps of Fed and Rafa. I just hope not.
How many times have we heard that over the past 15 years lol
