This was filmed in native 3D (not a 3D conversion) on the Coral Reefs off Cozumel, Mexico in June 2018. They are without a doubt some of the most beautiful reefs in the world. Relax and enjoy! - Zábava
Thank You so much for sharing Your beautiful and precious underwater world. Makes you appreciate the beauty of nature.
one of the best 3d videos on youtube :)
Thanks, much appreciated. We have many years of underwater filming experience and doing various forms of 3D. I started doing 3D stills in the 1970s. So, every effort is made in the filming and post production phases to create the highest quality underwater 3D possible. Very glad to hear that you appreciate it. Thanks again for your comment!
This is fun. Streaming on a 3D TV. I feel I can touch the fish.
Thank you. These are so soothing at the end of the day. This is especially lovely on my 5K Mac Desk Top. Mmm... more please.
Thanks!!!
You're very welcome. Anaglyph broadcasting has come a long way. This is even mesmerizing on my cell phone. And yes.. sorry others, I don't dig the VR versions as much. Less image to see and less depth. Anywhoo.. Thank you and keep up the good work. Lol.
Wonderful ! Excellent 3 D image I ever seen ! My whole family were shocking while I played that movie with a 130 inches screen at home, your 3 D effect present a real and natural coral reef ecology, even the Hollywood movie like Avatar or the Everest are not as good as your’s. Grateful for your sharing.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comment! Much appreciated! I spent several years trying to perfect an effective underwater 3D filming style. The goal is to make you feel like you're actually swimming with the fish, rather than just looking at them through a window. That requires maintaining close distances and certain optimal camera angles.
I'm glad you were able to watch it on a 130" display. My final proofing is also on a 130" projector screen. 😀
Thanks Barry, I live in Hong Kong , the other side of the ocean far from you. So sorry to heard that you can’t dive again, hope you can keep on enjoy your photography career on land. Very appreciate you did the great work to introduce the beautiful underwater world of Cozumel in the past years.😊
So, those who havent noticed, i think this works via the VR function, each eye showing the image the double layered normal 3dtv would
So my glasses are not working or what?
no it's your phone. Your phone has to have this 3d function
Cause it’s not the right type
This is old school red/cyan 3D(the glass have one red lens and one blue lens) if your glasses look like sunglasses with two dark lenses, then they are polarizing 3D glasses and thus won’t work on this video

Omg!!!!!! It looks soooo cool we r watching this video for school homework
Thanks for the comment. Since our films are being used in schools, I might have to start calling myself: Professor. :)
Awesome!
Wow! It’s amazing!!!! Thank you!!!
after a huge search finally i got the real 3d video on youtube. (working fine with blue&red glasses)
Very well done in every aspect!
Thank you for your comment. Much appreciated!! We're glad you enjoyed watching the film as much as we enjoyed making it.
beautiful 🤩🌈💐🌺🌻🏞️🏝️💓💯
Most cleanest real 3d I've seen on youtube 👍
Thank you, much appreciated!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG THIS IS SO 3D!!!!!!(And so beautifull scene also!)1 sub to ya
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the film. When filming these, I spend a lot of time trying to find the best 3D setups. It works best when there are close foreground objects, and a distinct middle and background. I try to film these from a fish POV, so that you feel like you're one of the school rather than just an outside observer.
It looks very nice and cool! With my 3D glasses (red and blue). It’s really amazing!
Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the film!
Superbe avec les lunettes anaglyphes. Merci !
thank you for this, I love it! I'm using some cardboard red and blue glasses I got as a child in the 80s with a magazine and it works perfectly
That's great. Thanks for sharing your experience with those old glasses.
muito obrigado BELICIMAS IMAGENS.
This is very good 3d
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy good 3D! We've spent a lot of time and years working on getting it right.
No problem I like 3d like this
Que maravilha de imagens! Simplismente incrível
Good job, nice video 👌😀
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the film!
Sir, Very nice video.
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the film!
Thank you SO MUCH for your 3D videos, especially the dives, which render so well due to slow movements of both you and the filmed subjects. You really master this. I've been unable to dive for some time, and your videos are very welcome :)
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the film!
Unfortunately, after almost 50 years of diving and over 30 of filming underwater, due to non life threatening health condition- non threatening as long as I don't dive, I've also had to give it up and from now on stick to filming above the surface. It's not been an easy adjustment to make after so many years of diving.
However, just like you, I now can still get pleasure from watching the 3D films we got such enjoyment making.
@@Tarnway Sorry to hear you can no longer dive. May be you can snorkel? That's what I do and in some places you get to see amazing things as well. Here is one of the first videos I made, snorkeling: czcams.com/video/d-lP6lDxr5Y/video.html.
Image stability is not great because it was windy and the water surface was not calm. I was using a gopro on a 80cm stick, but your 3D equipment might be too large for this option.
Also most of these pictures were taken while snorkeling: czcams.com/video/d-lP6lDxr5Y/video.html
Take care!
que buen video hemano.
what a video my bro.
very good, very nice.
That's cool ^^
Красота❤
Stunning
Thanks!
WOW!
I am very confused on my phone it's one image so that red cyan glasses work but poorly on CZcams on my 65in Samsung TV it's a split screen left and right images. Do I use polarized glasses for that? I tried crossing my eyes and couldn't get it to work. How do I use the Left Right image for 3D?
With appropriate glasses 🕶️ that close each eye alternatively. Your TV have to flash each side alternatively also.
I also lost my ability to dive due to health. Can you tell me what glasses I need to be able to see this? Is it just red blue glasses? Or is it something electronic and more sophisticated?
Another comments told something about old school red/blue glasses, I recomment you search for that comment is a respose to the comment "so are my glasses not working?" Or smt lik le that
Yes I looked up that reply or several replies and it didn't answer my question see my new post
Do you have any more 3d videos like this. Works perfect on my tv!
Glad to hear it. Yes, there are several more 3D films on our channel, the same one you watched this film on- Underwater 3D Channel.
Beautuful work. They did such a nice job on this.
Thank you! 😊
muy bueno muy bien logrado el efecto 3D.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the film!!
The super video with my 3d glass very nice
Thanks for commenting. Glad to hear it worked well with your glasses.
Good i watching 3d expirens
It seems to me that this video requires chromaticaly opposite anaglyph 3d glasses which are becoming increasingly uncommon when in comparison to the much more advanced polarized 3d glasses. As always I could be wrong though.
Unfortunately, several years back CZcams changed the way it handles 3D. It used to work with both active and passive 3D systems on monitors and TVs. Once 3D fell out of fashion and 3D TVs stopped being sold in many parts of the world, CZcams changed and to the best of my knowledge now only works with red/cyan anaglyph glasses.
I need 3-D glasses for this
I don't quite understand well about 3D glasses and 3D video.
My question is, what type of 3D glasses to watch this 3D video?
Thanks
It depends on your device, if without glasses you see a red/blue halo on the objects, or the picture appears splitted in two left and right shrinked parts. In the first case you can watch the video with Cyan-Red anaglyph glasses, also cardboard cheap ones, usually sold in 10 or more pieces. If the picture is splitted in two you can watch it directly only on 3D TVs or 3D home cinema projectors (Epson, Acer, Benq Optoma, etc., not the cheap led ones claiming to be 3D) or after downloading the video in its original quality (on pc you may use 4k video downloader free or others) and watch it with cyan-red anaglyph playing the video with a player software supporting 3D functions such as Potplayer, KMPlayer, StereoMovie Maker, Bino, etc. selecting video output to anaglyph cyan red option, better with Dubois sub option.
In the early days of 3D video on CZcams, it would actually work on 3D TVs and monitors with passive or active systems. Unfortunately, 3D was subsequently cast adrift and now the only way I'm aware of to watch it on CZcams is in anaglyph. Definitely not the best way to view 3D, but better than nothing.
@@car103d Thanks Carlo for ur explanation.

It's so beautiful.
I would like to ask about the parameters of VR camera you are using as follows.
baseline length: The distance between two lenses.
focal length: The focal length of a single lens.
I would appreciate it very much if I could answer me. Thank you.
Thank you for your interest and your comment.
I am using a housing containing two cameras which are genlocked, so they are fully synchronized. The interaxial lens separation is about 30mm, and the focal length of the two lenses is about 22mm. Although 30mm of lens separation wouldn't seem like a lot, it is actually quite good for close in subjects in an underwater environment.
Hope this helps.

@@Tarnway Thank you for your replay, it is very helpful for my work. Thank you.
It need shade
30mm baseline - interesting, in the shoal scenes it looked to me as if the baseline was over 100mm. Maybe an underwater effect...
You are correct regarding an underwater effect on 3D optical properties- same goes for 2D of course.
Regarding lens separation, many 3D enthusiasts believe that, like in so many other things, that more must always be better when it comes to interaxial separation. This is not true at all, IMO. It really all depends on your intended subject matter and your distance from it. For 3D underwater work, I like to shoot as close in as possible, sometimes with 1 foot or less from the subjects, particularly when traveling with fish schools. Otherwise, generally within 6 feet or less from the main foreground subjects. This helps to achieve some good negative parallax- aka popout- wherever possible while still maintaining the proper scaling of the subjects.. For this type of close in underwater work, 30-35mm is ideal. A wide interaxial distance, 100mm for example, would be very counterproductive for this type of close in filming in that it would GREATLY miniaturize the foreground subjects. In fact, I have seen this miniaturization effect in many other professionally produced 3D bluray underwater DVDs and I don't like it. Fish which should appear to be a foot long will look like schools of tiny fish, all because of overly wide interaxial separations.
The effect I'm after in these films is for a POV- point of view- feel where the viewers don't feel like they're on the outside looking through a window, but where they can feel like they're a part of the scene for a much more immersive experience.
Hope this information helps.
Best regards,
Barry Chall
Hey, wath is the song ?
Why does 3D effect with ReShade suck? The settings are impossible to get right, the images are apart so much that the picture looks like blue and red layers several millimeters apart on it. When I watch that fish video without glasses, it already has no definitive blue/red image. The CZcams videos of GTA V with a active glasse´s software does at least something, but I can´t see anything appearing more stereoscopic deep in games with ReShade. What kind of hardware/software is used for the fish video? It works well despite having no depth buffer information since it doesn´t contain computer 3D models.
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, for several years now 3D has been treated like a redheaded stepchild. CZcams used to be very 3D friendly but now, who knows what they do.
Contratulations for the video!
I would like to ask your authorization for using the images on a musical video for the song "Aquarium" by C. St. Saëns interpretated on classical guitar and keyboard. Of course i would mention you as creators of the visuals. Thanks for your consideration! Greetings from Granada, Spain

Saya sangat suka film ini karena sangat bagus sekali. Saya mohon ijin download Film ini bila di ijinkan. Selanjutnya saya mohon dibantu tata cara downloadnya agar hasilnya sama dg yg ada di youtube...
cool, but why not upload in 4k-3D? I see you have 2D 4k, and 3d but only in fhd sbs, so we get only 960x1080/eye youtube quality. right?
Yep, it's a CZcams thing. Also, unfortunately, 4K 3D isn't compatible with the HDMI standards. When HDMI was updated to allow 4K, they didn't include 3D and left it at 1080. 3D had fallen out of favor at that point, so it was ignored. Also, it used to be that CZcams would give you the option to watch 3D in formats other than anaglyph, but after they stopped selling 3D TVs and monitors, CZcams eleminated non anaglyph viewing options. Very disappointing!
The good news is, lately, we have been licensing some 3D underwater content to companies creating content for VR devices which don't have the 1080 SBS limitations and should be able to utilize 3D frame packed formats at higher resolutions.
@@Tarnway ok, then half TB would be better for passive screens and the same for active. Do you still make 3D videos? :)
It's been awhile since I've checked, but last time I did, CZcams only allowed SBS uploads for 3D.
I do plan to produce another 3D film for the channel sometime this year.
@@Tarnway CZcams actually DOES support 4K 3D. Here's how I do it with videos on my channel. I export/render my videos in FULL SBS, 3840x1080, inject the 3D metadata into it using a bat file I made using FFMPEG. I upload it to CZcams and after it's finished processing, CZcams actaully UPconverts my video from 3840x1080 to 3840x2160!!! :D So I actually don't lose ANY of my FULL SBS resolution :D. Let me know if you have any questions! ;) Your videos looks AWESOME but they CAN be in 4K full SBS!
Very interesting workflow, thanks for sharing that!
I am curious as to how your viewing these. Are you using a VR headset device, active or passive panel or projector, or as anaglyph? If your not using a VR device and are viewing as active or passive, I'm curious how you've circumvented the HDMI 1080 3D limitations?

Barry Chall
Omg do i nide glasses or is it 3D?
You will need 3D glasses to view this in 3D.
genial!
How to watch this
I just use red and green cardboard glasses that came a 3D dvd works well
This is awesome with the oculus quest 2 in CZcams VR app! Actually looked like the lobsters antennas were reaching for/touching my face! So cool!
Glenda,
Thank you for your comment and feedback. I'm glad to hear that it works so well on the Oculus.
That scene with the lobster was actually filmed so I could get the maximum popout effect with the antennas. I think I had the front of the camera less then one foot from them. The 3D effect is called negative parallax. If you like this kind of effect, check out the moray eel, and the shark 3D films on our channel
