- Sathorn is the Original Central Business District in Bangkok. Here you find many office Towers around the Chong Nonsi BTS station.
At Sathorn you will find the Banyan Tree, King Power Mahanakhon, German Embassy, Singaporean Embassy, British Embassy and Malaysian Embassy. At the Saint Louis Station you will find the Hospital and Vatican Embassy.

Thank you Jerone for another useful update on Bangkok. And your episode brought me back to June last year when I brought our travel party of 8 to visit and enjoy some of Bangkok’s best tourist sights.
We’re mighty glad we chose to stay at The Grand Sathorn Hotel as a central launch pad to our travel sights. The Hotel, although a bit dated, is just a short walking distance to the Sathorn Pier where we use the Boat, BTS and land transportation to our great convenience.
By boat, we had an easy access to 3 attractions on 3 different days and times: the Asiatique to catch our sunset cruise and the entertaining Calypso Cabaret show Combo; and the extravagant IconSiam mall; and The Grand Palace before taking a short Metro ride to Chinatown!
By a chartered van, we visited Damnien Saduak Floating Market and Maeklong Railway in a day, before going on another day trip to visit the ancient Ayutthaya Temple relics, besides Jodd Fairs Night Market. In addition, we took 2 taxis to Terminal 1 (an interesting mall with an international airport concept)
By BTS, we made it to Erawan Shrine, MBK Centre and the nearby shopping centres.
Last but not least, there is also the Robinson Shopping Centre within a walking distance from our hotel where we enjoyed a relaxed and an inexpensive dinner at a hawker centre behind the Robinson.

i took a ride on the BRT once just for fun, its a good system i wonder why bangkok didnt make any more BRT routes? there are lots of 6 lane roads in the city that would have space to make one. did you ever make a video about it? you get on at chong nosi and if you go to its terminal station you can get back on the green skytrain line somewhere in thonburi
