  • Our Bronco is back and we're working over the junkyard 460 big block we got with our Bronco for maximum torque. After that, we're going to get the frame up in the air with a new lift kit and 37in tall tire, then we'll mate the body back on the chassis to get this behemoth ready for some more low buck work.

These episodes make me nostalgic. Been following your shows long before PowerBlock was even a thing.

That argon trick is dope AF. Not just with hardener, but anything that will go bad in contact with air. THAT is why I watch these things. If I get one nugget out of it, it's a win

I've watched a lot of similar videos but this is one of the few showing the proper way to use a torque wrench. That means pulling the handle towards your body instead of away. I was taught the proper way when I was in the Air Force and I was glad to see this video torquing properly.

Great build but why wouldnt u paint the frame and the body while u have them separate from each other ??

Finally a build that doesn't cost 100 grand! It even has an engine that can be daily driven on the street. It's refreshing to get away from "street" engines with parts designed for 4000-9000 RPM. Nice job!

Take pride in your job...3 minutes later starts bolting brand new stuff to a rusty ass frame 😂

This build was my favorite by far. Refer to it often for our 79 Bronco build. 👍

I think I would grind those ports before I put the valves in?

whelp, didn't disappoint installing the cam. Always be sure to smash that cam in there to be sure to gouge the bearings.

I appreciate you putting in the big block. It’ll have a lot more low end torque and really doesn’t hurt gas mileage on a 4x4

Good luck with those motor mounts, I built a 460 for my f250 and it ripped the motor mounts apart twice... I ended up making solid motor mounts

I would have at least coated the chassis with some kind of liner or other coating to stop the rust. But I remember this project and I loved it.

All these shows doing rebuilds have one thing in common- everyone is afraid to rebuild transmissions or even learn how. If you can build an engine, you can build a transmission. And, if you can afford a 2-post lift, you can afford the few specialty tools for common transmissions.

TIP when installing a Ford Transmission that has a Drain plug on the front of the converter. use a 7/16 six point deep socket over the drain plug to align the drain plug with the hole in the flex plate.. the converter studs will pop right into place when you slide it all together..

Great tip on keeping hardener fresh. How inert of you. Thanks for that.

I am surprised you did not paint the frame while you had it torn down. Looks and longevity.
