    They are worth every penny! They are like hearing aids for old rockers! They restore the entire range of sounds so perfectly that it is almost unbelievable! They are a little difficult to get a perfect fit in your ears, but once you do, WOW! TALK ABOUT AUDIOPHILE DELUXE!

      @@grdprojekt they get the model from the CAD which comes directly from design/engineering. The artist just has to clean up the data a bit, but the details come from CAD 👍

    WOW! I own tons of IEMs including IE 800, IE 800 S, Layla Aion, LCDi4, but I never heard the details on each frequency range in any other IEM that I am hearing on my IE 900. Just phenomenal. But carrying case is super boring and a bit smaller to keep the expensive IEM safe without putting unnecessary pressure on the cable.

    I have this, and it is phenomenally great. Paired it with Mojo and iPad Pro with DSD/ FLAC music, playing movie theme by London Orchestra is even better than listening in the concert - it's so wide yet dead centered, everything is so clean, clear and intense. I felt out of this world.

    • @Vamp898
      @Vamp898 Před 3 lety +3

      Because its just a single dynamic driver.
      Thats an pretty outdated way to produce an In-Ear headphone in this class but Sennheiser doesn't have access to better technologies.
      So instead of having a highly tuned driver setup, they use an average normal driver and have an extremely tuned housing around it.
      This housing is needed to force the unbalanced sound the driver produces in a balanced way.
      It is actually surprising what they were able to squeeze out of an single dynamic driver setup but in the end, its just a CNC housing with a plain and average dynamic driver.
      I mean there is always a limitation when it comes to In-Ear Headphones and Dynamic Drivers.
      Take the XBA-Z5 for example, it does have one of the best dynamic drivers in existence (16mm aluminum coated liquid crystal polymer) but its just too big. But with smaller drives, you can't produce the same sound so they implemented the Driver sideways in the housing which caused a big loss of medium and high frequencies. Due to that they also put a full range and super tweeter balanced armature (ba) driver in there.
      Lots of people don't like the ba driver sound so you mostly put a hybrid system with a dynamic, so companies try to put as many and as good dyanmic driver into their headphones as possible.
      You can get a very good ba driver sound, but then you need a lots of them. The IER-M9 for example does have a 5-way setup with 5 ba drivers. This is not just extremely costly but even with 5 ba drivers, there are things you can do like giant sound stages. If you want a big stereo like sound, you'll never be able to get that with ba drivers.
      Thats why the IER-Z1R for example have two dd driver in an coaxial setup and only uses an ba driver to balance the mids.
      In-Ear Headphones have an big limitation in size and thats why modern headphones have multiple hybrid driver setups. Its actually pretty awesome what Sennheiser archived with a single dynamic driver and a complex housing, but still this is so far from what is possible and its very far from what it is worth.
      The XBA-Z5 is Made in Japan with an 16mm dynamic driver, two balanced armature driver and sells mostly for 500-550€
      If other companies would have produced this headphone, they would charge 150-300€ for this, but because its Sennheiser and a Flagship, you have to pay the Sennheiser Tax and the Flagship Tax.
      So its a good headphone and it produces an good sound, but the price/value is just so off, that you can't really recommend this for anyone unless you're a big Sennheiser fan and wants to have it for its name
      I'd say this Headphone plays in the league of the XBA-N1 or maybe XBA-N3 and those sell for 200-300€

      @@Vamp898 I don't know your name or how to properly address you but your reply was excellent. You are speaking my language as a value shopper. My question to you is what do you think are the best IEM's on the market currently for value to price ratio?

    • @heinzhaupthaar5590
      @heinzhaupthaar5590 Před rokem +1

      @@Vamp898 They don't have access to off the shelf Sonion or Knowles BA drivers most companies use even for their 1000$+, often even 2-3000$, priced totl models?
      They can't make a frequency divider, something that's in no way an advanced technology but as basic as it gets and well within the range of every layman's means, and use multiple dynamic drivers?
      Hmmm... 🤔
      Most single dynamic driver flagship models are quite a bit beyond 200-300$, even very cheap resin ones made in PRC, they usually ousource driver design and manufacturing and have a much cruder approach to tuning. There's a reason the IE900 as well as the IE600 are praised and cherished by many, going with a single dynamic driver is a choice and has benefits as well as drawbacks, just like everything else.
      Doesn't have access to "better" technologies is a laughable take, you even bring a multi driver totl model that uses two dynamic drivers into play here - Sennheiser could've done just that, but it obviously was a well thought out decision to go with just one and do what not everyone is capable of.
      You might have some valid points but you mixed them in with a whole load of utter horseshte that makes no sense at all.

      1300$ for ie900 is a joke, this thing doesn't have the resolution, details and brightness even compares to some of the sub 300$ iems....It does have very unique Sennheiser sound signature and soundstage though. But again, you can get very similar sound for under 500$, just go pick ie800s
