Mesmerized with your work and generosity shown on that lady doing her edge old school (like myself) and her husband with the boot on his foot. Your work seems outstanding, she was surely Blessed to have had you notice her! Now, lol feel free to pass by my neighborhood anytime 😊
Edging with string trimmer is good for speed, but people need to understand using an edger blade is still better. I can edge with my string trimmer and i still use my edger blade for the most part because it gives a better quality edge. I mainly use string trimmer edging for plant beds, tree rings, pavement, etc. I dont sacrifice quality for speed.
You advanced the trimmer line twice. Once after flip edging and transitioning to turf trimming 3:11 and then when you stated you advanced the line. That was still a great example of saving trimmer line....
Excuse me, but you are a MASTER. We however, touch the trimmer to the curb or too close to the ground and off it goes, gouging the grass. But you're right: throttle control cannot be underestimated; you need only apply enough line speed to cut the grass. Thanks!
Love your videos man 💯 also love you you say this is the way I do it.. it’s my video my customers I totally agree with you. As long as the customer has a smile on there face it don’t matter how the job gets done. Don’t listen to the haters 💯
Great vid Johnny. Could you by any chance one day show how you set up your Darwin grip on your trimmer/edgers. Your setup looks so balanced. Mine on my Toro 60v force flex has me bouncing the head on the turf with a 2.5 ah bat. Thanx in advance.
I don't understand why trimmers aren't made to go clockwise. Would make edging and walking forward while trimming much easier (if right-handed). Counter-clockwise while right handed and walking forward you're just smashing the grass against the wall and not really cutting it like going backwards. And edging, if clockwise you'd be going with the rotation if walking forward. Makes sense in my head 🤷

One request: show us the blow! I love blowing the clippings back onto the grass. So satisfying seeing the clean driveway/sidewalk.
I would love to get better at edging with my string trimmer so I wouldn’t have to get my edger out. But I’m just terrible at it.
thank you so much for the detailed instructions take matey
No problem 👍
I trim the same way brother love

Appreciate that
On most occasions, do you mow before you edge? In which order do you actually prefer?

More crisp with an edger

The goat in action! Echo black diamond or the Ballard you are using? What size line is the ballard? Down here in swfl
Ballard Python bleu .95 is my favorite so far
What’s the size of your enclosed trailer and keep the great informational videos coming?
7 X 16', Thanks!
You bumped at the 3:13 mark, unless you were knocking debris off of your trimmer
Just busting your chops, Johnny, love the videos
Yep, he did knock the grass off at 3:11
