Yeah, this track is 100 times better with the prayer chants.
He gives water to the dead
This movie established that Paul has visions of an alternate time where Jamis was his friend and teacher. This makes it a crime that Villeneuve cut the scene, where Paul cries at Jamis' funeral and says "I was a friend of Jamis" because for him it was true.
Don't get me wrong the movie is great, but some things that were cut should not have been.
Also I think the Fremen being divided into reddit atheists and fundamentalists was an insanely bad writing decision.
DUNE Part 2 did a lot right, but I agree that some things could have been executed better. Both films keep the spirit of the novel's ideas, yet lose a lot of the nuance IMO.
@@121ATV Yeah I've been a lot more negative about the movie, but I think you hit upon something. A movie adapting such a book is going to choose what to adapt and leave some things out. I think over all the movies are successful, but there are things we're allowed to be critical of.
Does anyone know when this plays?
