- OnePlus doesnt promote all of their phones... for good reason. This one, is incredibly inexpensive. Grab a teardown skin for your phone here: dbrand.com/teardown Today we are going to be durability testing the OnePlus Nord N200. Its not the OnePlus Nord, or the OnePlus Nord 2, its a cheaper variant called the N200. (Current pricing here: amzn.to/3rYp516) Should I Durability test the even cheaper OnePlus Nord N100?

I would assume the comically large "camera circles" are a way to cut a bit more on costs, since they are the size of normal "camera circles" on theirs other phones. This means they don't need to buy the circles with a different spec than the others probably getting a discount through quantity.
it's a small piece of plastic though. they probably do this so people think the cameras are as big as the flagship cameras
@@rubenheymans1988 A small increase or decrease in the unitary price times the quantity they tend to order, you quickly see an increase in costs or savings, even if it is a small piece of plastic or glass.
@@Crhm383 stop talking like your smart what youve been saying makes no sense

Love seeing a budget phone getting some love... A mass majority of people can't afford a $1000 phone including myself. So I know I personally would love to see more budget phones getting tested. So those of us on the lower end of the financial spectrum can get a decent idea for good phones for us to by.
why would aomeone pay more than 300€ for a phone?
@@tostadorafuriosa69 The higher tier or flagship phones do have better specs and are mostly built with higher quality parts. So I understand why +300 is a thing as far as price is concerned. However I agree with you as i don't necessarily think the specs or build quality are so significantly better as to justify the prices in the $1000 range.
@@tostadorafuriosa69 I could afford multiple high-end phones. But my 7T does me well.
The majority of people don't need flagships. The latest iPhone doesn't provide anymore utility than what a $500 device does.
You'll get longer updates with the iPhone and better resale value. you need to ask if paying 2.5 - 3 times the amount is worth this.

Imagine Zack launching a phone without all the design flaws he has learned from the durability tests/teardowns. I'd Buy it.

That would be a expensive flagship phone.
It would be extremely expensive, phone companies find a balance between durable and cost.
Besides a phone only has to last 3 years, after those 3 years it stops getting security updates with most android phones.
Without OS installed since Zack is a hardware guy.
@@DamienAlexander Except flagships, especially Samsung ones. Typically 5-6 years of support according to Sammobile (check firmware manually to confirm it for yourself). Still, considering you wear a phone with you and carry it nowadays basically to everywhere, I can see it having to endure harsh abuse during it's lifespan. To constant stress in your pocket, the sudden impacts, the many drops it has to endure, the accidental impacts on the phone, the different kinds of weather. It's really harsh tho.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the under screen fingerprint reader on my one plus 9. I work in a clean room so have to wear gloves and I do a lot of walking so I end up sweating a lot. Even with my fingers pruned from all the sweat in my gloves the one plus 9 still manages to read my fingerprint about 95% of the time. I've been using my ~$210 smartphone for 5 and half years now. Not all cheap phones are (or were) garbage. Of course I didn't know it would last this much when I bought it. The specs are outdated, but it still does almost everything I need it to. The only major problem is the battery. I've had no reason to replace it yet. Most people don't need flaships.
7:09 I prefer to buy a flagship and use it for many years, my first smartphone was a Galaxy S in 2010, and I used it until 2016 when I bought a Galaxy S7 that I still use today, and if it continues working I will use for 2-3 more years and will buy other flagship, probably from Samsung since I had a really good experience with their phones.
