I also just didn’t want Glenn to die either so I was kinda mad and it was honestly embarrassing very painful. I never read the comics or knew about them way back then so it came as a total surprise to me but it helps knowing it was to stick to a certain plot and wasn’t as random and for a quick tear jerk like I had originally thought.

It’s one thing for Negan to kill Abraham and Glenn. It’s another for him to do it with a bat instead of a bullet. It’s another for him to do it in front of their group/family. It’s another to joke and mock them while doing it. I understand why he did it, why he did it that way, why the others had to watch, but the mocking (whilst part of his character) is why it’s unredeemable.

Jeffrey and the girl who plays as maggie slays their roles. Can't wait for dead city
Im not gonna lie that scene made me tear up heavy😭😭. Negan has done everything he could to show he has changed and did it for the other survivors.. She will never forget or forgive him for what he did but even tho its slightly she has peace of mind now and she can focus on rebuilding the future... And i cant wait to see their dynamic when they head too NYC.. But Negan you can see the pain in his eyes he does really feel terrible about what he did not just to her, but all the bad things he has done..

Maggie spokes genuinely of what she literally felt when she loss the love of her life and she was pregnant with her son before Glenn died so imagine the pain to raise her son without a father was unbearable. Maggie never replaced Glenn cause she loves him so much. Maggie just wanted to express how much sadness and grief she felt when Glenn died. There's no forgiveness when Negan murdered Glenn nevertheless Negan felt guilt, shameful, self disgust and most of all he can't and wouldn't forgive himself for what he did and he can't take back the things that he have done. Maggie decided not to avenge Glenn's death cause she knows that it would never fixed anything cause Glenn is dead and it would only cause some war and hatred if Maggie would avenge Glenn's death. She didn't want vengeance and neither she can't find forgiveness towards Negan for what he did to Glenn. I feel so bad for Maggie and Hershel Jr. cause they will never see Glenn again. I'm glad Negan changed himself to be a good guy but he still feels guilty cause "Guilt" will always come back to him.

2022 just ruins the show. High quality cameras make this show just look like a shitty remake. Back in season 1-5 the quality was perfect now it just feels so fake bruh.
I stopped watching TWD after the Governor (school) but I started it back again rewatching the series and wow really is a great show. I'm excited for what happens after the prison and I can't keep spoiling these bits for me lol ( I knew who negan killed because everyone was talking about it when it happened) but the aftermath and the years later on I have never seen. Truly beautiful to see Maggie honor Glenn's memory.

I have a lot of claims to make on this short: This has got to be one of the greatest scenes tv history, showcasing potentially the strongest female lead ever written and fleshed out over a shows run along with a once inexcusably evil villain turned truly remorseful broken man.

Negan wasn't evil. Before the apocalypse, he was a console gamer and a truly loyal husband. When the world became hell, he might've also endured bad people, just like Rick, who transformed him and made him stronger, until he succeeded to found a group which expanded later under the name of "the saviors". Negan wanted to keep everyone in line because he knew he also had assholes in his crew, and he needed to make them fear him. That's why he never forgives if you break a rule. If you forgive, than that you allow everyone to mistake (break the rule). And breaking the rules in such a world would lead to more death and chaos. That's why Negan had to become so ruthless. If wasn't easy at first (maybe he was morally just as now), but he had to. He also sort of hypnotized himself to enjoy killing and punishing. Who would fear someone who feels bad/cries that he has to kill someone? But if you become someone who shows no remorse, even enjoy it? BANG, submission and fear sent into the spines of all people. And Negan used fear to rule and keep people safe. It is after Rick defeated him that Negan understood that his methods were wrong. But at the same time, when Negan started the saviors, it wasn't yet the time for the kind of civilization Rick created. Meantime , bad people had to be disposed of and the others had to be tamed again, as order and morality were lost.

The acting in this scene on both parts is so good. Negan doesn't have to say a word but his eyes and movements are having a whole conversation, while Maggie doesn't take her eyes off his but you can hear all her emotions in the subtle changes of her voice. Too good

I've not watched this show, but the regret, guilt and shame on Negan's face seem so amazingly genuine.
I have a lot of claims to make on this short: This has got to be one of the greatest scenes tv history, showcasing potentially the strongest female lead ever written and fleshed out over a shows run along with a once inexcusably evil villain turned truly remorseful broken man.

Before the apocalypse, he was a console gamer and a truly loyal husband. When the world became hell, he might've also endured bad people, just like Rick, who transformed him and made him stronger, until he succeeded to found a group which expanded later under the name of "the saviors". Negan wanted to keep everyone in line because he knew he also had assholes in his crew, and he needed to make them fear him. That's why he never forgives if you break a rule. If you forgive, than that you allow everyone to mistake (break the rule). And breaking the rules in such a world would lead to more death and chaos. That's why Negan had to become so ruthless. If wasn't easy at first (maybe he was morally just as now), but he had to. He also sort of hypnotized himself to enjoy killing and punishing. Who would fear someone who feels bad/cries that he has to kill someone? But if you become someone who shows no remorse, even enjoy it? BANG, submission and fear sent into the spines of all people. And Negan used fear to rule and keep people safe. It is after Rick defeated him that Negan understood that his methods were wrong. But at the same time, when Negan started the saviors, it wasn't yet the time for the kind of civilization Rick created. Meantime , bad people had to be disposed of and the others had to be tamed again, as order and morality were lost.
Yes this is true Negan killed in a really messed up way but he still had to kill then one way or another Rick and Negan are the same

These too are my favorite characters, Negan is proof that people can change, he will probably make a huge sacrifice for Maggie on day to repay her

The acting in this scene on both parts is so good. Negan doesn't have to say a word but his eyes and movements are having a whole conversation, while Maggie doesn't take her eyes off his but you can hear all her emotions in the subtle changes of her voice. Too good
