The BBC is a politicized PC organization, its all about being politically correct, and making sure not to offend the 0.1% of the population that are special snowflakes and are looking for reasons to be offended about.
Leaving the BBC was a blessing for them.

@@Jamal_Tyrone Or maybe he doesn't. My dad was a blonde as a kid, by the time he was in his mid-30's his hair had turned medium brown, and by his 50's it was black.
I met James in Japan when he was doing the “Our man in Japan”. I walked up to him and ask if he’s James May, while the camera was rolling (I didn’t see the camera cuz it was a crowded scene).
He politely said the camera was rolling and after the shot he came to me and we had a conversation (and of course a selfie). Nicest guy ever.
Lucky man.
The feeling i get from a lot of more or less famous people is that it's all about respecting their time. Thats why the resturant example is so common for so many of them, people interupting their dinner. But if they have the time most of them are quite willing to exchange some words and take a picture or whatever.
I can see that, James and Richard both seem quite charming really. Jeremy...well, everyone needs a foil.
I met him too. In a borders (book shop) in stockport. I was with my friends mum who was overtly flirting with him lol

This episode is a good example of why American Top Gear failed in the US. We never wanted an American version, we wanted English humor with Clarkson, May and Hammond. These guys are hilarious
To be quite honest, i kinda liked american top gear in the later series, when they sort of found their own identity. A bit like Car Trek now, sure it's obviously inspired by Top Gear, and The Grand Tour, but it also has it's own identity.
I don't care if these 3 hosted a show on needlework, I would still watch it

I can predict what would happen. May would be good and take his time and try and organise it and do it properly. Richard would find some way to try jazz it up and make his more interesting/quirky. Clarkson would bring in a sewing machine and an old woman to operate it.

Clarkson and the boys are about the only old people iv seen that can perfectly understand new technology and stuff and how it works. These people are amazing.

I’ve sat legs crossed, eyes glued to the screen since I was a little kid watching these 3, and all these years later I still forget all the doom and gloom of the world the moment they start bouncing off each other. The genuine chemistry between them all is legendary and something I don’t think we’ll see done again by another group of presenters.
11:04 the way James says "Do you not watch iPorn?" after the others are laughing from what Jeremy said is the most golden moment in this entire interview.

I don't necessarily think that's the make up, they're in a totally white room with studio lights. When Clarkson turns his head, he gets his color back on his forehead.

Yeah it’s all in what they’re doing, who they’re with and when it is. Context. Like the other guy said. I’m sure they’re fine gents but if they’re eating with their family they’re going to be annoyed. That’s all. Plus maybe don’t ask for an autograph just a handshake and say if you’re willing i would like a picture.
I would just say something like "alright mate, keep up the good work" then carry on. They're obviously grateful for the fans, but that doesn't mean they need to be cornered for photos or a chat, plus some people might be annoyed about being asked for a handshake due to germs (I know I would be).

This is the culmination of the 3 musketeers of camera and I understand completely why they would stick together to no ends I absolutely love it as they love each other thank you so much for letting us enjoy your alls journey 1 percent as much as you have lived it I will never forget your journeys

See, this is what the Grand Tour needs more of. This feels completely natural banter, not scripted.
*That* is the dynamic I love to see. They play off each other unscripted so well. Yeah, the shows need producing and some scripting, but the charm comes from the moments when it’s just them being themselves. Not the tediously Flanderized versions of themselves that characterize the worse episodes of Top Gear/Grand Tour.

I actually really do watch Top Gear for the cars, but of course, the main reason for watching is the chemistry between the guys and their funny shenanigans.

I love these guys. Hands down the best trio of presenters ever.
This interview just shows how amazing the comedic value is just by having these 3 in the same room. BBC struck gold... Too bad for them they couldn't appreciate it enough to realize that nothing can replace this. Good thing Amazon saw the same thing millions did.
P.S Matt Leblanc fronted top gear isn't bad. Its honestly great as a car show. Its just nowhere near the dynamic that James , Hammond and Jeremy had.

Fantastic editing to have the interviewer's question be drastically difficult to hear with unbalanced audio. Thankfully they have captioned audio so I can read the words I'm hearing. Everyone else has a great audio, just not the main narrative voice driving the conversation. That's top-tier media production right there.

These three guys are BRILLIANT! I've been binge watching all of the old Top Gear shows because I've finished all three seasons of The Grand Tour. What they have is essentially put a car show together with The Three Stooges and I am saying that in the best possible way with absolutely NO disrespect because I love it and God help me, I LOVE these guys. I would love to just sit down with them for a few drinks and some conversation.
This was made in 2017, however come May 2018 Jeremy was back on regular television on ITV was the new host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in the UK, and he also made It's Clarkson On TV for ITV.
Their show has always and will always be my favorite show ever. I’m just beyond entertained by these 3 goons every time I watch them whether it was on Top Gear or The Grand Tour. They will always be my favorite
