      trial and error, 1st try a good hdd/ssd and boot it from the said laptop. If the laptop boots up, only hdd/ssd/os was faulty, try formatting the old hdd/ssd. If the laptop doesn't boot up after changing the hdd/ssd, try changing ram/s. Another possible cause was the power adapter, also try other adapter. If you got no luck after all this, the motherboard was faulty and it's expensive to repair

      I just checked the datasheet of your LCD, it uses the same LVDS signal as my panel, but uses a led backlight (not CCLF backlight like mine). Therefore, the connection cable is not the same. You can buy this board but use another cable that supports led backlight + a led driver. I think it will be more complicated for you than buying a board for led lcd like this: www.amazon.com/VSDISPLAY-Controller-LTN140AT02-LP156WH4-B156XW02/dp/B01NGZHVGA, or just search "40 pin lvds controller board for led lcd"

    • @DarrenC_1024
      @DarrenC_1024 Před rokem

      Indeed. A large back cover to cover all the PCB and cables is a better design, even though the devices are low wattage and emits small amount of heat, trapping them in such a confined space is a bad idea for longevity (guess why the monitor/TV manufacturers are designing their products this way?). Also, this will make the device more serviceable in future, and looks more elegant.
      Adding hinges to the stands is also a better way, as you can fold the stands for easier storage (like put it in backpack or a luggage).
      Also, since you have a DC motor drill, why not swap the drill into a sander bit to sand and smooth the edges? Or just use ordinary sandpaper.

    Why doesn’t anybody uses the laptop’s own screen chassis?
    It will give a more “off the shelf” look.

      That's also a good idea but my screen front cover has broken, so make a new custom cover for the panel is both necessary and interesting :) Making a new case will make it easier to install the controller board and stand, as well as make the product more professional if you are skillful.

    I wonder why most videos on technical subjects just show pictures along with incessant,loud and useless music. Why not give text information if you can not add voice?

    The price of the controller is high, so it is useless. Just buy a pc monitor.
