Hi Mathew and Paul!! I am Beth, a Physically challenged woman married to a Blind Man! He had sight when we married 38 years ago, he even drove!!!! (Ahhh) but now has a bit more vision than Paul, but his vision fades in and out without warning now, and he has small tunnel vision, maybe 8-10% field of vision! We too joke, make fun of, laugh at circumstances, and life and ourselves. I dont prank him, but there was a night he mistook a bottle of simple green for a bottle of cranberry juice (the square 2 liter size cranberry juice is the same as the simple green bottle) we had been drinking vodka cranberry’s with our adult kids and finished the cranberry juice. But there was simple green left on the table. He mixed a drink, and thought I left soap in a glass, so spat out the drink and rinsed everything well. He mixed a second drink of vodka and simple green. He took a big sip of his sure to be delightful drink… only to have another mouthful of soap. He quit trying at that point and asked the next morning when I was up what was wrong with the cranberry juice on the table. So now we say real men drink vodka and simple green!!
I am LOVING your Chanel and content! I have a service dog who helps me get up from a sitting position. I have rheumatoid arthritis, which has caused muscle wasting AND i broke my back in a fall and have some residual leg weakness. My Bentley makes my life INFINITELY BETTER! Just his presence boosts my confidence, cheers my heart, and I dont have to worry about getting “stuck in a chair” thats too low or soft to get up from. I am independent with my dog. ❤❤❤

My dogs grew up sharing bits of our food, including salad. My favorite is hearing them crunch celery.
Good! Dogs should eat a wide variety of the food their humans eat, with only a few exceptions like chocolate. Dogs are part of the family and should be sharing food eith their humans. Dog food is poison.

I want to try this with a friend who is partially blind, missing an eye. I’m almost betting money she could get it by smell alone. XD fun fact for everyone: mythbusters actually tested if a blind person like someone who was fully blind could drive a car with directions. It worked really well, very illegal, but it worked.

My dog’s favorite treat is french fries! It was killing me they didn’t give him one 😅
If you don't ever give them some then they aren't expecting it so they don't get all excited thinking you might give them some. They don't learn to think it's something to do with them. Any time you give them some you're teaching them to hope for it next time.
There were so many funny little asides in this. Next time, could Mr. Maple have a treat? You three always make me laugh and make me happy. I would suggest a drive through do-nut shop.

something so fun about watching these longer videos, Paul is just so charismatic and has a naturally inviting energy that I think I could listen to his thoughts all day! Something interesting I'm also thinking about, knowing that there's been instances of people accusing him of lying about being blind -- Paul's body language still is very strong! It's very lively with lots of hand gestures and expression! Someone who might have been born without sight or other circumstances that would make it hard if not impossible to see visual body language, probably wouldn't speak the same way...? Maybe that's affecting peoples' perception on if the person is "actually blind." I could definitely be wrong though. Just kind of musing for a moment -- thanks for the fun video guys!
Paul wasn't always at this level of blindness. When he was a kid he had more range of vision.
@@BlinkinFireflyYeah, he must have had quite a lot of eyesight as a child if he didn't get diagnosed until he was a teenager. I know he said that that was partly because his family thought he was just very clumsy and absentminded, but if he had had as little eyesight as a little kid as he does now they would certainly have realised!
@@BlinkinFirefly yeah sorry that's what I was implying! Maybe his learned behaviors when he had more range of vision have made it harder for those who are more judgmental to set aside their preconceived notions about what a blind person should look like or act like, if that makes sense

I’m enjoying the “blind taste test” challenges. My twin brother, Ben, does taste tests like this on our channel. You are guys are great together.
Go to 2-3 places to get the same food item like a burger and see if Paul can tell which burger came from which fast food place.

This was fun, I'd enjoy more of these. It must be hard thinking of fresh content. I love Paul telling a story, those are great. I'd like to hear Matthew play music, too. It would be cute to see how Mr Maple reacts to Matthew playing music.
The pepper in the KFC secret ingredients is the Tellicherry variety, the king of black peppercorns, from the Malabar Coast of India. I like it for my pepper grinder and I buy it from Market Spice in Seattle's Pike Place Market.
Carls Jr would be a good option...or do they have In-n-Out? You could get Mr Maple a Pup-Patty there so he can participate. Although, the LONG wait at the drive thru may give it away.
I've seen Carl's Jr. near Seattle, but I don't think there's an In-n-Out anywhere nearby. I'm pretty sure that's a California thing.

And Matthew’s cheeky glint in his eyes the whole time too! 😉 As always Mr Maple is effortlessly such a goofy and hilarious boy! (Did he deliberately wrinkle his lip so it got stuck up just as Paul guessed KFC?! I don’t even know what expression you’d call that on his face!! 😂). Oh and Paul you are too funny yelling “Everybody quiet!” so we could get a close-up of you biting into a French Fry coz YOU were the only one making any noises the whole time! 😂 You should make a regular “Everybody quiet!” segment tho as that was an excellent crrruncch indeed!! 🍟 Anyway, I know nothing of your American fast food ways (as here in UK!) and I have actually never eaten KFC in my life (and almost never eat fast food anymore either) so I’m useless with absolutely no suggestions for you whatsoever! 😂 I would love Paul to do a blind dip test in the future tho as I am also very dip-obsessed! 😋 I’m on a mission to make every plant-based dip that ever existed and I’ll often make up my own too coz why not?!! The little subtle tongue sticking out a couple times caught me off until I think since his sight is practically gone so all his other senses are heightened so it makes sense.

Curly fries are my favorite (Arby's) and I don't know what on Earth seasoning they put on Wing Stop's fries but I scarfed down an entire large fry and STILL wanted more.

Especially with food it is a burden...I was always been bullied for the things I did like to eat or refuse to eat. By my family! Like really bad. Just triggered a load of very bad memories. You should go to a bunch of different fast food restaurants (Matthew could even do it without Paul and bring them home or have them delivered) and order the same items from each place to see if he can differentiate between them and figure out where they came from.
