I think this video is for advanced gardeners. The video seems very informative but it went over this beginners head. Thank you for your time in making it.

The video is geared toward nurseries. They're talking about how to get the plants ready to sell

There is no such thing as advanced gardening. It's an experiment forever. Although, a few Salvias will make you look like a pro.

3:32 I've never had any disease problems with my salvials. I thought they were completely disease resistant... I believe mine have been consistently healthy because I don't shove synthetic fertilizers down their throat, stressing the plants' immune system and harming beneficial soil microbes. I only mulch them with compost twice a year and occasionally feed them with liquid seaweed fertilizer. I'm in zone 7 and a very wet climate. And I grow everything no-dig

I love salvia because the bees love salvia.

For those struggling to grow this plant naturally outside, probably don't live in an climate suitable for salvia.
Bags can be used for heavy frost. Both paper, or netting. I also seen comments about pruning. Well once the stalks turn brown and die off, cut them down to a uniform shape (volleyball). My salvia are mounding perennials and come back every year. wilmington, nc here.

Are the seeds sterile? I've noticed some the older varieties are more invasive. But don't know If the newer species are better.

Do you sell the bare root kinds to the general public? I love salvia and I’m wanting to plant a new bed with mostly salvias.

They are not complicated just plant in full sun and if the flower heads get huge and start to flop over just trim the plant down and new flowers will emerge. They are really easy garden plants as long as they get alot of sunshine.

canterlevi I picked up salvia at Home Depot, popped them in the ground and they took off. The only care they need is water and a pruning after the first flush of flowers have faded for a second flush.
