my favorite is the serengeti safari slide (bowl slide), I rode it at night and there was a bunch of lights and music, I loved it

I've heard a lot of good things about the new Kalahari in Round Rock, TX. It seems to have just about everything this one has plus even more, like a jump slide with some good theming. Hopefully the operations there are better...
The operations were much better in Texas. They didn't have a water coaster though.
Sorry if I have asked this before but have you ever visited Wild Rivers in Irvine CA? If you haven’t, you should definitely check it out! It’s super fun but it is only open during the summer months.

I got the same top 5 different order though. I’m like you water coasters and speed slides are the top slide types but the smoke that thunders was the best slide here for me. That drop is one of the single best drops on any slide for me and I find myself higher on the walls than almost every tornado slide I’ve been on

Smoke That Thunders sometimes has lights in the funnel, but other times doesnt. Either way, it is s great slide.
Have they been out for a while or is it random whether they're on?
@@CanobieCoaster I'm not completely sure, but when I visited in February the lights were on. The lights are very cool when they are on.

Sorry to hear your visits have been underwhelming. I last visited pre-pandemic in the middle of winter and apart from a couple slides seemingly down for maintenance, everything else was open and the place seemed well-staffed at the time. Unfortunately it sounds like they still haven't recovered from the effects of Covid on staffing, though Camelback's water parks seems to have recovered better? Not sure if they're doing all they can to hire/retain workers especially in a tougher, more remote area to find labor. Hope they can turn it around sooner rather than later!
The other water parks have figured out staffing, but they are a bit smaller, which may help.
Screaming hyena should be way higher on the list
I couldn't put it higher, but it is fun.
I understand that you prefer Aquatopia more and that your visits here have been unlucky, but I think you're giving this place more hurt than it deserves. While the theming may not be as immersive as Aquatopia, it's still good enough to remind you of Africa. The slide lineup is also a very good one with how big and diverse it is. I say that for not just this Kalahari location but all of them in general.
The slides are good. Won't deny that. I've been here 3 times in 3 different years. Ride closures have been an issue in all of them.
@@CanobieCoaster that’s so weird I’ve been twice in multiple years I’ve never had a problem there except smoke and Victoria falls were close one day my second visit but it was back open the day after but other than that I had no problems
What would you rate Anaconda, a 6?
Probably a 2 or 3 for a water coaster.
