I would not exactly call those the unluckiest golf shots but some pretty dam good ones!
That's true-- if it's a great shot that could have had a better result than what the player got (like a missed double eagle try that came that close), I wouldn't call that unlucky either.
Not sure, but I think we have different ideas of what unlucky shots are. Some of these are great shots that come really close to going in. Unlucky would be putting from the fringe and having the ball roll off the green into a water hazard.
No Jim you're dead wrong here pal, that would be a bad shot for professional standard. Unlucky would be executing to near perfection and getting a bad or even horrible break that it didn't deserve, you could even consider it "unlucky"
If I could play 18 holes,,with some of these unlucky shots, I'd be a pro.

Many of these I wouldn't consider "unlucky". I see phenomenal shots. A few were legit unlucky, but those that rimmed the cup from shots outside of the green, those are low probably anyway. If these were all putts that rimmed out...thats unlucky. Maybe I just have a different perspective.
Idk how that near albatross by Matt Fitzpatrick was “unlucky”. I understand what you mean that it was unlucky that it didn’t go in, but it was very lucky that it hit the stick. Probably would’ve been 30 40 feet away had it missed the stick.

Some of the shots I won't categorise them as unlucky shots..
Look at the bright side. At 9:30, he only had two steps to the ball for his next shot.
What did it catch at 9:45 to bounce like this? A sprinkle head?
I rewound it 5x and I think it did. I've done that a few times this year and I want to throw my club when that happens.

Aim for the centre of the green used to be considered smart play
If you jar a shot and the ball hits the bottom of the cup like the first one, it should count.

Definition of unlucky is misplaced in most of these shots.
Hardly unlucky ending up 3 feet from the hole.

So, you shouldn't shot straight to the hole. I always aim at 1 inch left or right of the pin. 😅
Petition to teach golf commentators how many degrees are in a circle. If the ball lips out back to you, that's 180 degrees. Not 360.

1:40 'Well that was more than 360'...'? No, it was slightly more than 180'. 360' and it would carry on in the direction it was struck.
Degrees along the lip, not degrees of directional change. Announcer is correct.
@@nl6951 No, sorry. If you imagine that the hole is a clock face and the ball first touches the edge of it at 12, then to travel 360' it would need to return to the 12. That, by definition, would mean the the ball would be travelling in the same direction as at first contact.
@@kravdraa7 so when would you say that the ball first touches the edge of the hole? With your original statement, that "it was slightly more than 180 degrees", that would mean that you think it touches the edge when it is about to leave the hole. That is just not true, if the ball first touches the edge when it is about to leave the hole it would cause a skip. Ball touches the edge shortly after entering the hole.

Idk... I wouldn't call most of these unlucky, like the eagles and birdies I mean, even if it's didn't go on, that's an easy finish for a good score

do americans have a differnt metric for how many degrees a 360 is? if a ball goes around the cup and comes out BEFORE returning to its original trajectroy or beyond, it is NOT a 360. 1:40 is barely a 270 degree turn, not "actually more than a 360". i think they seem to assume if the ball comes back at you its a 360...no...thats a 180. Sorry this happened so many times it irritated me...obviously 🤣

Also 2:00 & 5:45, and even on 10:08 the commentator says 360 then even says himself "some will probably disagree"...yes because it WASNT! lol

Don't agree that all the horse shoe putts are unlucky shots. They are poor putts that got what they deserved.
Putts from 20ft that horse shoe out are ‘poor putts’? Tough crowd.

Idk, hitting a sprinkler head or bouncing off the green because you landed on the pin is genuinely unlucky. Lipping a putt, not so much.

Am I the only one who notices the fact, commentators do not know what a 360 degree turn is? Simply making themselves look stupid.
Had to turn off the music.
Good material but the incessant whistling is too annoying to keep watching. You have to turn down the volume but then you don't get to hear the commentators. Could we tone that down a bit?
