Daron has the best voice and Keith can def put it down. If you don't believe me, check Playa and see for yourself. I think slim was chosen as lead because he has the most unique voice. I know Wingo and Norman can put it down. I fell in love with JE in Dec 1999. I heard the first few chords of Let's get married they hadn't even started singing yet and I was hooked. I love BOTH groups because of their voices and ability to harmonize AND they are one of the few 90s groups still together and can still sing. My face JE song is Gotta Be. My face 112 is It's over now. I just wish music had kept the same feeling it once had. 80s romance, 90s pain angst emotion, early 2k r&b and pop clash. Mid to late 2k to present mostly junk with a few bright spots in between.

qNicole Smith Yes they are. Only thing I don't like when they perform live is they eat the mic too much. I've heard them sing without a mic and they sound damn good. Maybe they still get nervous performing in front of large crowds. I still love them tho
it's finally time that Jagged Edge has gotten recognized. They can sing, they are talented, their writing skills are impeccable, and they continue to produce hits but for some odd reason they're overlooked in the music industry. it's probably because groups are a thing of the past especially in R&B which is truly sad. People don't recognize real music anymore, but it always comes around full circle

Brian sang the hell out the first verse, but Brandon mess that second verse up to me. Brandon is usually clean, but something must have been wrong with the mic because he kept messing with it. Brian and Wingo have cleaner soprano singing voices so one of them should have sung the second verse. It didn't look like New Edition was really into it, especially Johnny and they didn't need no female background singers that totally messed it up.
New Edition was definitely feeling it too. You probably didn't watch the entire show. Everybody was on their feet. Try to be less negative and you'll see the light sweetie.

Everybody was on their feet because it was a New Edition tribute like they are during every New Edition tribute. Don't get me wrong people were excited to see Jagged Edge, because we don't get to see them on award shows and I like Jagged Edge just like everybody else. What I am not going to do is lie because I like JE, Brandon was terrible trying to sing the Ralph Tresvant part of the song. Wingo should have sung the part, because he has a higher voice than Brandon. Brian was fantastic singing Johnny Gill part because he is a tenor like Johnny. You need to look at how the audience and NE excitement levels changed from when Brian was singing to when Brandon was singing.
@@chooselove4307 I see what you're saying now you broke it down. Ralph has a very unique voice and yes Wingo can sing as well. Brandon is more laid back compared to Brian. Brian always gives his all in every performance whether the crowd is big or small. He sings and performs from his soul. I love Jagged Edge, but Brian is my favorite. They all have different qualities that compliment each other. Kyle can hit the high notes too. But Brian has spirit about him that's just makes him stand out.
