Very sweet and intuitive, amazing with family and kids of all ages…I had taught them to calm down and be careful if they were being a bit too boisterous !! Love ridgebacks... one thing not mentioned.... these dogs are couch hounds, so be prepared for it ... Get them a sturdy ,leather couch... blanket to cover it. After early training is complete, no crate! And a doggy door if possible is great for them.
I have had a ridegback. I had no problems to control him off leash even if there was wildlife around. He did not seem interested in wild animals. The first part of he's life we lived in a city appartment before moving to our current house. He seemed to be happy in the appartment with a few walks per day. Was our ridgeback not normal as my experience of him is quite different from what you describe in this video?
My ridge is a runaway..if off leash, forget catching her until shes done her thing. No amount of treats, rewards, or anything can change her mind..shes as stubborn as my pitbull but less well behaved. Her learning curve was very slow and she tested slightly for autism so not all of these statements applied to her.
I want to get two Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies but I'm worried that they won't do well in very hot weather. What do you think about it?can they handle hot very weather well?
The dogs that shouldn’t be in hot are dogs that have long coats like huskies and malamutes and short muzzled dogs like bulldogs Pomeranians and pugs. A ridgeback should be okay as long as it doesn’t stay in heat too long and has water available at all times.

They seem to be good family dogs. They seem to love living on a farm🐕🐕🐕🐕

It origiantes from Rhodesia - Today Zimbabwe. It is single coat and has no issues with heat. I have them at my farm in Zambia.
Lots of issues with this video. Definitely not make by a ridgeback owner. Cut and paste stuff that isn't completely accurate.
