On the AJ37 it only have RB24 and RB24J’s. So for that i’d say the RB24J. But for the JA37 it got a Radar lock missile that can be decent. It’s got RB24J aswell.
@user-fs2rb9yd2g You should check out Daleys video "How to use radar". With the Viggen I believes has IR missle lock aswel which gives no lock warning for most if not all. Problem with the Swedish is if the target spots you. The RB24s here love flares so six missles will become 1 kill if you pursue in most instances. You got some learning to do
AJ37 is the Attack viggen, it can carry bombs and rockets but has limited fighter abilities, JA37 is the Jaktviggen and can carry up to 6 missiles and has an integrated cannon
Quite alot actually. They are about a generation apart with the AJ being the first version made to launch RB 04E anti-shipping missiles at Soviet invasion fleets.. But that weapon is not in the game.. The secondary roles was to use the smaller bombs and rockets - and autocannons, to knock out soft targets like ammo dumbs, landing ships etc. It also had a secondary fighter/interceptor role to help defeat bomber formations and airborne invasions as well. But the Drakens were the main interecptor of the SwAF at the time of its introdurtion (the AJ´s that is.) The JA is quite a lot more advanced and a pure interceptor really, even though in theory, it has a secondary attacker role 8dumb rockets only). its computer and radar are much more advanced and it had a newer version of the engine along with a massively powerful cannon. they may look similar but they are quite different under the "hood". But there are also some external differences. Apart from the gun gondola, the fin is different and the JA is 13cm longer as well as some smaller details (RWRs, more actuators, landing lights and it is eben "kinked back" compared to the AJ, the "bend" of the fuselage kinda along the extension in the middle)
