As a revert, the issue of alien life was funnily enough another reason why Islam made more logical sense than Christianity. Amazing episode 👽 ☪️

Surah talaq ayah 12 tafseer by maududi 👇
[12] Allah is He Who created seven heavens and of the earth also their like.23 His Command descends among them. (This you are being told) so that you may know that Allah has power over everything, and that Allah's knowledge encompasses all.
23"Also their like” does not mean that He created as many earths as the heavens, but it means that He has also created several earths as He has created several heavens. "Of the earth- mean that just as this earth which is inhabited by man is serving as bed and cradle for the creatures living on it, so has Allah made and set other earths also in the universe, which serve as beds and cradles for the creatures living on them. Moreover, there arc clear pointers in the Qur'an to the effect that living creatures are not found only on the earth but also in the heavens. (For instance, see .Ash-Shura: 29 and E.N. SO on it). In other words! the countless stars and planets seen in the sky are not all lying desolate, but like the earth there are many among them which are inhabited.
From among the earliest commentators Ibn 'Abbas is the one, who had expressed this truth in the period when man was not even prepared to imagine that in the universe there are other habitats also, apart from the earth, where rational creatures live. Even the scientists of today are yet in doubt about this being a reality, nothing to say of the people living 1500 years ago, That is why Ibn 'Abbas felt hesitant about whether he should say such a thing before the common people are not, because he feared it might affect their 'faith. Mujahid says that when he was asked the meaning of this verse, he said: "If I give you the commentary of this verse, you will turn disbelievers, and your disbelief will be that you will deny it." Almost the same thing has been related from Sa'id bin Jubair, saying; 'Ibn 'Abbas said: what can be the guarantee that if I tell you its meaning, you would not turn disbelievers?" (lbn Jarir, 'Abd bin Humaid). However, Ibn Jarir, Ibn Abi Hatim, Hakim and Baihaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman and Kitab al-Asma' was Sifat have cited, on the authority of Abud-Doha, this 'commentary from Ibn 'Abbas in different words: "In each of those earths there is a Prophet like your Prophet, an Adam like your Adam, a Noah like your Noah, an Abraham like your Abraham, and a Jesus like your Jesus." This tradition has been related by Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bat and by Ibn Kathir in his Commentary, and Imam Dhahbi says: "It has been reported authentically, but in my knowledge none apart from Abud-Doha has related it; therefore, it is an uncommon and rare tradition." Some other scholars regard it as a falsehood and Mulla 'AIi; Qari, in his Maudu at Kabir (p. 19), has described it as a fabrication, and written: `Even if it is a tradition from Ibn 'Abbas, it is based on Israelite traditions." But the truth is that the actual reason why the people have rejected it is their regarding it as remote from reason and beyond understanding; otherwise there is nothing in it which may by itself be opposed to reason. Thus, 'Allama Alusi in his discussion of it in his commentary writes: "There is neither any intellectual barrier to taking it as correct nor religious. It only means that in every earth there is a creation which turns to its origin just as mankind in our earth turns to Adam (peace be upon him). and in every earth there are individuals, who are distinguished among others just as the Prophets Noah and Abraham (peace be upon them) are distinguished among us. " A little below the 'Allama writes: "The earths may be more than seven, and likewise the heavens also may not be only seven. To rest content with the number seven, which is an indivisible integer, does not necessarily negate the higher numbers." Then, about the distances between one heaven and another, which have been stated as five hundred years or so in some Ahadith. the 'Allama says: "This is not meant to give the exact measurement of the distances, but to express the truth in a manner easily comprehensible to the people."

Yep, this Sura was revealed in the 7th century.. and more than a thousand years later Captain Cook discovered Australia with kangaroos, black swans and duck billed platypus.. the Europeans were incredulous that such animals could exist… then they discovered Birds of Paradise in Borneo which eventually led to Darwin writing his Origin of The Species’… a book that caste aside Divine creation and put forward the theory of evolution… just imagine what we can discover in another 1000 years..😏

The establishment and army are stooges of the new world order and they have blatantly stooped infront of those secular world powers. Next vid topic: "On The Etiquette & Methodology of Giving Dawah to Extraterrestrial Life"
Maybe they are already Muslim.
Fascinating discussion!
❤ from Kashmir, India
Two primary verses of the Qur'an are crystal clear that there is extaterrestrial life in the universe.
Qur'an At-Talaq verse 12: "Allah is the One Who created seven heavens ˹in layers˺, and likewise for the earth. The ˹divine˺ command descends between them so you may know that Allah is Most Capable of everything and that Allah certainly encompasses all things in ˹His˺ knowledge."
Allah tells us plainly that there is 7 Heavens, and 7 Earths. 7 other planets just like ours, with life, whom messengers were sent and prophets glorified the honor of Allah. Whom taught Monotheism and were given a book so that they may understand. Allahu Akbar! Allah is most wise, most glorious!
Qur'an Ash-Shuraa verse 29: "And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and all living beings He dispersed throughout both. And He is Most Capable of bringing all together whenever He wills."
"Living beings dispered throughout both" BOTH, so beautiful that HE may give us this wisdom.
May Allah bless you and your work Brother Paul. Inshallah HE will welcome you into the Gardens of Paradise. Salam to all my Brothers and Sisters who read this, Allah is most capable of all things. We are far from alone in this universe.
With all respect, I am not convinced
surah Isra verse 70 "Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures"
"Above many," but "not all"...
Yes, it's a high privilege but not the highest ...
Jinns might be one that is as previleged or more
Yes. 17:70 suggests that there are creatures more privileged than humans. It can’t be jinns or angels if we keep in mind that they were asked to bow down before Adam.
@@skauser We are concerned with creations with free will.
Ponder the last words of Aya 8 in Surat Alnahel (سورة النحل) where Allah SWT says clearly (ويخلق ما لا تعلمون) “and he creates what you don't know of”. And because the Quran will always be true, the aforementioned declaration leaves the door open for uncomprehensible life forms, even if humans discover all shapes of life on this planet.

Wow this was a very insightful discussion! Retmakes you think about Allah power and magnificence too
And that hadith about 7 earths even though I heard it before it still gives me the same goosebumps when I think about it
Salaam, brother Paul, Thank you so much! Jazakallahu khairan. I have learned so much from your erudite discussions with experts. May Allah bless you. Please keep it up.
I big to differ with the Shaykh Mamza with regard to the status of humans as being the best of creation.
Verse 17:70
Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures.
In the verse above it says that ALLAH has privileged humans far about MANY of His creatures.
BUT NOT ALL
BUT NOT ALL
So, from the verse, we can conclude that there are other creatures who are MORE privileged than humans.
And ALLAH knows best
Also, thank you brother Paul for another wonderful presentation.
If i’m not mistaken the shaykh didn’t say humans were the best creation but he cited or refered to:
“Indeed, We created humans in the best form.”

GLORY TO ALLAH
CREATOR OF THE HEAVENS AND EARTH
Theological Discussion on what i always thought from my school days back 15 years ago
Salaam...
I am rather surprised that that the verse in surah Al-Isra' was not mentioned (17:70) or maybe I was sleeping halfway??? Maybe it is in the article?....:
And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.
This ayat clearly said that the children of Adam were preferred over many other creations (we were preferred over the jinns - and even angels - well at least Adam was and yet, not ALL creations - meaning 1) possible existence of other intelligent beings like us 2) We are privilledged over many of them 3) A few of them are priviledged more than us
Wallahu A'lam...
well, think about it, Djinn has tribes, races, species like us human, they are created way longer than Adam which means, possibly, they have known the Universe way more than Adam, it possible that this intelligent exterrestial was the other species of Djinns, (after all Djinnliterally, means "hidden from sight.")
remember that these Djinns have more "magic" and power more than us human, yet we children of Adam were the honored creations over the strong and advanced Djinns, even honored than the Angels.
we are truly special in the eye of our Creator over the other extraterrestrial beings outside the earth
❤
Brother Paul l would recommend Prof Alparslan Acikgenc from Turkey, Prof Wan Moh Wan Daud (Malaysia) and Prof Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi (Indonesia) to be your guests :) keep up the good work Masha Allah
Masha Allah, very interesting. I was not aware of the saying of Ibn Abbas. Even if it is a an odd saying.
(2:30) Just think when your Lord said to the angels:“Lo! I am about to place a vicegerent on earth,” they said: “Will You place on it one who will spread mischief and shed blood while we celebrate Your glory and extol Your holiness?”40 He said: “Surely I know what you do not know.”
Surah Al-Baqarah
Wishing Paul Wiliiam a very happy Eid, from our family to yours.
Good 👍 to listen to some scholarly “out of the Box” LATERAL THINKING 🤔 Going forward it will be interesting to also listen to interviews with reputable scholars of Islamic ESCHATOLOGY. One such person of tremendous interest and following is a scholar from Trinidad Sheikh IMRAN HOSEIN 🙌
i think eschatology is not a productive field to study, it leads to conspiracy minded people.
It's no secret that almost all of the attackers of Christianity were paid for by the big money holders from the Middle East. Westerners like Him do not know SIN, the important thing is for THEY to get paid for their Family.
@@hopsie9983 salaam, isnt eschatology the study of what happens after death?

I love your channel, brother Paul, always discussing interesting topics!
But I have to mention that at 43:44, the verse is not figurative. This is what the Asharis believe, and this interpretation appeared after the time of the great predecessors.

Interesting
Well, there are indirect mentions everywhere I suppose; the sole fact that the word `skies` is used, implies that there is a reference point that perceives it as a sky, i.e. a place where the n-th sky is seen as a sky; then there are the narrations from Mi'raj where The Prophet p.b.u.h., met his predecessors in "levels", with Adam p.b.u.h., being in the one next to our sky, if I'm not mistaken.
I personally prefer to reflect and ponder under the dark night sky because of the silence and freedom from wordly chores and responsibilities during that time and i certainly have witnessed strange phenomenon in the night sky for which I couldn't find any scientific explanation.
Allaah really shows His signs to those who ponder so they can be grateful to Him and affirm that He indeed is The Creator of all that exists.
Alhamdulillah after watching this video I have found clarity on the subject. This is a means to knowing Our Creator, realising His Favors on us and worshipping Him with even more zeal and faith!
With all due respect akh , we have way more than enough on earth's plate to deal with ..
It is surprising how Shia sources and hadith are ignored.
Imam Muhammed Al-Baqar a.s. was asked "Tell us something about Adam"
He replied "Which Adam?"
On another occasion he mentioned there are 74,000 worlds like ours.
For different life other than humans one should reference the collected works ( khutbas, letters, saying and the life of Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb a.s.) in the Najul Balagha.
Let us know what you find.
Wassalaam
Shiàs sources are not liable
MashaAllah! Paul, please provide the citation for that quote.
Fantastic discussion, the host and viewers should also note that Cryogenics are mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Kahf where Allah the most high talks about the sleepers (2 parties of young men and their dog) in the cave who slept for 300 years and some additional years and they slept with their eyes open and were turned from side to side, the verse says that if you saw them in that state you would turn and run in fright. Star Trek the next generation has an episode of Cryogenics where people were frozen and sent into space to be awoken at a future date.
The Quran is well ahead of its time, it also mentions the blowing of the horn which will emit a frequency by which all living matter will cease to exist, the mountains will crumble to dust. There are many more verses in the Quran which speak about science and physics. A whole series of programs can be created on this topic by our host Insha-Allah
Why the "horn" thing suddenly reminds me of the jetstream emitted by a pulsar, quasar or neutron stars?
First ayat of first surah of Quran all praise to lord of ALL worlds …enough said
Great connections established by the distinguished speaker in an amazing way. I'm happy that he did not shy away from the GOD question because when ALLAH SWT created intelligence HE claims in HIS DIVINE REVELATIONS that HE had all the knowledge of what HE was creating. We Humans right from the beginning are surely not knowledgeable about what we are "RE-CREATING" for which we definitely need "RE-SOURCES (material, properties and time)". ALLAH ALMIGHTY was not looking for them when HE WAS CREATING and SOURCING and ORGANIZING and OPERATIONALIZING EVERYTHING that we know and many that we do not know. Secondly, HE was not scared for HIMSELF under any circumstances but was SUPEREMELY CARING and GIVING for what HE WAS CREATING. Thirdly, ALLAH SWT has never gone missing in action for a single moment and has been sending continuous divine guidance THROUGH HIS SINCERE PROPHETS from ADAM A.S to Muhammad SAW which address all the physical, mental and spiritual aspects.
With all this, He has openly invited humanity (The best of HIS creations) to ponder upon is CREATIONS which are limited in the first life but prescribed specifically not to experiment with HIS creations for our " CURIOUS RE-CREATIONS" with an EXTREMELY LIMITED KNOWLEDGE/INFORMATION/CAPABILITIES". Cause HE SWT informs us that besides HIM all other intelligent/non-intelligent creations combined can not even CREATE ONE SINGLE PARTICLE and further prescribes that in such a case do not try to utilize HIS CREATIONS (Living/non-living) based on your personal whims and desires for now. This is to protect them from the "IRREVERSIBLE HARM" that you will bring upon yourselves and others. THATS ALL SCIENCE.
Similarly, HE invites that same is true for ONE SINGLE STATEMENT that is STEADFAST TRUTH under all circumstances and then prescribes that don't let your minds/imaginations and most importantly your GOD GRANTED FREE WILL to go astray or enslaved to any NON-DIVINE HAYWIRE FLUKES. That's all about PHILOSOPHY.
CHOICE NOW IS INDIVIDUAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL.
According to the holy Quran,"No other living things is as intelligent as human being in the whole universe.Because Allah made Adam with His own Hands."
beautiful insight, in my opinion the answer is very simple, Allah Rabil Alamin (Lord of the World's)
Paul you really need to call Sahil adeem on your show if you want to know more about islam and extraterrestrials. Most conventional scholars are pretty ignorant about it.
[Ash-Shura:29]:
And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills.
does hamza have a channel or discord or anything where he can be asked questions?
A comment on 46:15 onward: We don't need a discovery of extraterrestrial life to strengthen the Tafsir position of walking creatures in the heavens for the mentioned verse because the story of Isra' and Mi'raj gave us a peak into the seven heavens, and in there the prophet peace and blessings be upon him saw the prophets Adam, Yahya, Isa, Yusuf, Idris, Harun, Musa, and Ibrahim, all of them alive and scattered in the seven heavens. The key takeaway here is that the prophets, which are humans, are walking creatures in the heavens. The story I am referring to is in Sahih al-Bukhari 3887. Also, in this age, there are humans walking in space stations and spacecrafts.
While this is not an argument for or against a scientific discovery of extraterrestrial life, it is a reaction to 48:22 where a case was made that a scientific discovery of extraterrestrial life would solve a problem in Tafsir; I showed why I think the problem is already solved.

Great talk, brother Paul. Now...when are you going to interview Imam Fode Drame ?
I think that the first sura of the Quran that we recite daily indicates that there maybe is extraterrestrial life. Allah (swt) says in al fatiha “ Bismillah Al Rahman Al Rahim alhamdoullilah Rab Alamien” alamien in arabic means worlds. So maybe there are others earths or planets in other galaxy’s. Allahu A3lam
It is talking about dimensions, about shayateen and jinns.
Know that when a person says “it doesn’t conflict with my beliefs as a Muslim and it could be theologically useful” he is pushing a deviant idea not grounded in the Quran and Hadith….
In the name of Allah, the ever merciful, the entirely merciful
Praise be to Allah, the cherisher and sustainer of ALL THE WORLDS...
Allah (swt) tells muslims in the verses of Surah Al Fatiha ,that there are multiple worlds and he is the Lord of all these other worlds...it is no secret.
These other worlds will know who their creator is and will have their own unique connection with him.
See tafseer of maududi on surah talaq ayah 12.
It's fascinating, you will love it
I think the definition of heaven is very important. What are the heavens? Because in the Qur'an we have verses where Allah tells us that the angels were sent down from heaven to earth. That sounds to me like they come down from the universe to the earth. If you think about it, they have to come from somewhere, which means there has to be a place, just replace the word heaven with universe and you get a completely different understanding of the Qur'an. For me, the strongest argument in the Qur'an for extraterrestrial life is actually verse 17/70. In this verse, Allah tells us that we humans are not the preferred creation because there are other creations that Allah ranks above us.By the way, this topic is important because it can lead atheists to believe in God.... We should ask ourselves the question: what if Allah told us in the Qur'an that there is no extraterrestrial life, but we discovered that we are not alone in this universe, would that not push believers to atheism?
Dear brothers, how can I find this hadith, which was given here, that there are seven lands, and each of them has its own prophet adam, nuh isa, from ibn abbas? in which collection of hadiths is it located?
miracle of the sun in portugal with thousands of witness Christians and muslims saw spinning disk in the sky that when they looked at the sky their wet clothes become suddenly dry even the ground filled with mud dried right away
Surah Ra'd, ayat 15... those in the heavens and earth, together with their shadows....
The guest said that Muslims haven't said or written much on this topic. Actually, they have, within the field of Sufism. The public confirmation of ET life should have no problem for Muslims, as the Quran supports it, too. Nor is it for anyone with a universal and transcendent conception of God. Allah is the Lord of all the worlds (Rabul alameen).
42:29 and among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and of whatever living creatures (da'bbah) He has spread forth in both..
Hello...Please review Dr Steven Greer and some of his documentary..in particular Disclosure
But in arabic language, especially in Quran, number seven is reffered as "so many" or "inderteminated number of something". So when Quran says "svene heaven" or "seven earths" it is not necesseraly means that there is 7 earths, it's rather "so many earths" which number knows only The Creator.

This mean that we shall meet them…..

Salaam Paul, Thanks for sharing a beautiful discussion, I want to add one thing that the Quran says about Daaba on earth and in the heavens. All Daaba (on Earth and in the Universe) their life depend on Water. It means Daaba (walking creatures) live only on those planets where water exists. and earth-like atmosphere. The other thing The Holy Quran mentions, Human are not the most superior creation of Allah. Quran says we made humans superior from most of his creations not from all of his creations. This means there are more superior creations in the universe other than humans
I always thought about this: if Jesus is the only begotten son of God and the only Saviour, what about aliens? Is there a reincarnation of Christ somewhere else. That's why the Catholic Church maintained the flat earth geocentric position, because it's the only way its salvation theology would make sense.
