    I really like the monthly active users slide. Its cool to see what things looked like in the first few years.

    awesome guy. Really pragmatic approach. Just wondering how he survived during the time it didn't work.

      I'd suggest focus more on how to win rather and how to survived, it happened to me and that could last a lot.
      By all these years passed since the vid, maybe you've figured out already how to survived anyways

    What does he mean by 'drivers'?

    • @MyFirstMillionPod
      @MyFirstMillionPod  Před 9 lety +9

      Grizzly B Drivers are what's core to the businesses growth. All NerdWallet cares about is SEO since Tim figured out he'll get most of their traffic from people searching, "what's the best credit card for..." That's what drives their business (aka. 'the driver'). The slide around 14:20 shows how he focused on their driver, SEO, and cut the stuff that didn't matter-- product design, engineering, VC, PR.
      A lot of companies/people get distracted by things that don't grow their core business. His suggestion is, no matter what you're trying to do, figure out the one thing that matters most to your business and use it to frame every decision you make.
