BOONE "Lift High the Cross" (for Brass Quintet)

I am excited to present this rousing new arrangement of one of the great Easter hymns, “Lift High the Cross.” Dan Boone’s arrangement is both very effective and very playable. All the parts are idiomatic and enjoyable to play, and this would be a great addition to any ensemble’s repertoire for the Easter season!

Amazing arrangement and playing. I have a small tip I learned from another trumpet play who does multitracks, I’m currently forgetting his name tho. I noticed this from your fugue quartet you played, the trumpet playing sounds TOO clean, almost like a midi trumpet you’d find on muscore. It’s because you play on the same horn and mouthpiece for all the parts. The way he said you could humanize the sound is by using a different mouthpiece or trumpet all together, but just changing the gear out.
