Branded Darklord (Post Kashtira Arise Heart )Tech Options | Decklist Testing | Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

- The release of New Selection Pack: Flame of Fury brings in a new Meta format with the arrival of Kashtira Arise-Heart, including the rest of their support, thus bringing them up to pretty much full power (Tier 1 possibly Tier 0). Although, within the pack came in some interesting and very good tech cards in the form of Triple Tactics Thrust and Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon which are very beneficial in helping counter the new era of meta decks and the ever-increasing power creep.
The first deck variant I decided to use to test out the potential of these tech options is the current and strongest version of Branded Draklord Despia. Triple Tactics Thrust is a great addition to help either extend our plays or break boards if the opponent decides to hand trap us, or use any monster effect on our turn, by searching for a normal spell or trap, which the deck runs plenty of. Because of this, it can be quite difficult deciding on what to run as there are a good variety of targets to run whether it be board breakers, negates or our fusion cards. This includes being able to search the new Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon which will "book of moon" the entire field and make players send any remaining face up cards on the field to the graveyard (meaning even unaffected monsters are forced to be removed).
Furthermore, this all opens up the possibility for many tech options I will be testing out in order to try and find a solid optimized strategy within all the Darklord variants. One card that will be very good in this format and one of my favorites that I will continue to run as an awesome form of monster removal is Kurikara Divincarnate.
FYI: If anyone new is interested in building Darklord Despia, The new Secret Pack: The Opening Act of an Apocalypse is highly recommended as it contains almost all cards needed for both archetypes 🔥

@@avengedchaos7pleaaase. I want pure Versions or at least hard focus on them. I dont want to mix it, cause its strong with despia/branded still you nearly only play around this engine if possible
I did recently do a deck testing focusing more on pure darklords but I will try to doing it more often 😎👍
Ehi there! Love to see more darklord testing! I tried more the non-branded despia-darklord version to take advantage of darklord, despia and diviner of the herald normal summons with 2-3 copies of "light in darkness" in the deck. It turned out veery fun and I think it's my fav version of darklords so far.
I ended up removing ret-time (I also never see you using her, so you may think of removing it too)
I'm currently trying out reasoning x3 again for ash bait and fusion fodder.
And I love TTT although I'm still testing that so it may be overhype. I teched eradicator virus with that.
How do you find yourself with daruma and necrofusion? I'm not sure I'd like them.
Oh, last but very important, i really want to use darklord morning light, but I brick a little bit too much on first turns. Any suggestions for that? Thanks a lot!
I am currently running Ret-time just for the book of moon effect and free special summon and has come in handy occasionally in other matches but may consider swapping it out.
Reasoning is very good and want to run it but am hesitant on it for now because of Arise-Heart being almost everywhere now and banishing everything sent to gy. I'm liking both of the TTT for their search and draw power alone and sometimes to use as a change of heart. Eradicator is a good option and can see it coming up in certain situations. I am running Daruma as a searchable book of moon with TTT and it gets rid of unaffected monsters. Necro Fusion is like a last resort option if all my resources are in gy and can use Morningstar in gy as fusion material to trigger The First Darklord nuke effect.
Some options that can help with bricking to try out are allure of darkness and into the void (they are a bit risky though) and possibly the card Trade-in if you are running a lot of level 8's

I did consider that option and probably should have done it either way, but the only reason I didn't do it was because I wanted to blow up their back row first in case they had some sort of follow-up
Why do you run two Albion Branded Dragons? I almost never see you go into it. I know its Ice Jade fodder for grabbing resources but is that it?
It is the first time I tried throwing in a second copy just in case i needed it, but yes it is mostly for fodder and like you mentioned, it rarely did come up in my case, so I will probably switch it out for Chimera again

It is just my preference to not run maxx c just to have more variety of tech options

What are your thought's on the branded darklord purrely version
The Darklord Despia with Purrely can be good since it has the benefit to efficiently turbo out Zeus and wipe their field and can have good recovery but I feel the Branded version still is just overall stronger
The only thing good about the purrely one is that the xyz give you some disruption, but i feel the branded stuff gives you extra power and push, since at worst you can just like branded fusion for lubelion using albaz and superbia and start reseting up the combo from there, branded fusion helping you dump any darklord you want can be quite good

Genuine question man. Are we just kinda fucked? Like do we just have to put down darklords until Arise-Heart gets limited? i don't think Master duel is gonna ban him.
EDIT: i spent so much mats crafting the cards for darklord despia. really wish i would have known this new secret pack was gonna be coming.....
another edit: i watched DKayed video about KAsh and countering it what do you think about the upstart goblin tech he did with kurikara. I feel like darklord should be able to play upstart.

Darklord was the first deck I made and then somewhat recently got some of the despia cards I crafted one ur and gem the rest. Didn’t hit me too hard
Even though Arise-Heart counters and ruins our gy strategy, we are still not completely fucked per se as we just need to negate him or get him off the board asap or commit to just board wipe OTK them while trying to manage our resources. The Upstart Goblin tech is an option, but not necessary as almost any other card you play will trigger their effects to be able to use Kurikara

Usually you want to go second and it kind of plays mind games with your opponent when you make them go first. Sometimes it doesn't always go well and have to figure out how to break their board but if you go first the main goal is you want to try to Kristya lock them with this decklist
Why no lava golem?
I am currently trying out sphere mode and have been debating lava golem since sometimes it would have been better

So far it has, though it also depends on their set-up, but what helps a lot is The First Darklord having targeting protection
