I wish I could afford all that stuff. 82k in revenue since January 1st, and I'm not profitable yet between insurance, payroll, and equipment loans. They're wives must make 6 figures plus to afford all that luxurious life style.
When someone sells their lawn care business they are basically just selling their equipment. Lawn customers have no monetary value, because most won't stick around. Customers will feel some kind of a way about a stranger they didn't actually hire.
Lawn care was only 20% of the business. But businesses that are solely lawn care sell all the time for much more than just the equipment value if you’re running a real business with desirable clientele on the upper income and commercial properties. If you’re one guy with a helper mowing pastures it’s not going to be a profitable sale.
Hey, Ray! Due to moderate memory loss from a motorcycle accident a few years ago, I can't quite remember how many years I've been watching you now, but I know it's been quite a while. What I DO remember about your videos is, that you charge accordingly. You don't give anything away! So, WHY in the name of all that's Holy, would you give ANYONE FREE RENT to live in your head!? There will ALWAYS be people who find fault with the way you do things and will puff themselves up to make themselves feel better about their miserable lives while trying to drag you down. When the day is done, NOBODY cares what they have to say. In the words of the late, great Tony Soprano, "Who gives a sh!t." Now get on with your day and don't give them another second of your time or breath! God bless.
True Success is : 1- Do what you like to do as a job, 2- Do what you like to do and make money at it, 3- Make enough money from what you like to do for it to be your full time job and make a living at it, This is what you did Ray. No Side Hustler , REAL DEAL.
Hey Ray, i think a few people may not understand why you started doing skid steer work and other jobs besides just mowing, i have watched the videos so i already know what you said about that but i think some have not, Ray is not a skid steer business that mows lawns, The great thing about what Ray does is that helps to not get burned out one one thing you get a change of pace every now and then, also Ray does NOT have to work 14 and 16 hour days to survive and pay for his toys,Ray is not in over his head, i could only imagine the income if Ray wanted to do that but this is Ray's channel and business.

Why would I have more than one account and talk to myself? How dumb is that thought? Why sell? I made good money from the sale. I didn’t have to sell. I could’ve just closed the doors and retired so it’s just more money in my pocket. What do I do? Anything I want to do. There are guys in our area with a helper or maybe two that absolutely make $5k a day or very close to it with a skid, dump trailer and a boom. You’ve admitted you are scared to take on much work that doesn’t come from existing clients. So obviously you aren’t even trying to find the work to know it’s out there. You’re getting old Ray. One little tweak of your back and you’ll be out of work and broke soon after. I brought up BDS Outdoors (he’s on CZcams) and his interview with Brian because he’s the proof big ticket jobs are in our area. You are correct about video. I’d have no clue how to act on camera because it’s not something I know about. My nephew told me years ago to do CZcams videos but I couldn’t see the value unless the it was creator content like Brian and others. And even at CZcams’s pay rates of a large channel I’d be losing money if I focused on it. There’s a reason you don’t see bigger companies with any regular content or any at all. You ever give thought that Toby might try to steal your clients? If he owned a business why is he out here working for someone?
Say that shows you the depth of what you don't know. We're u worried about your employees taking your customers? I can only control the things I can control. I don't worry about the things I can't control. Number one I don't think my guy would do that and number 2. It would be hard to do that with the customers that I have. They're not gonna fire me and hire anybody else. And if they did they would not hire the guy that works for me!

@@bettercall-paul Ray is doing great also, but for some reason a few people are so butt hurt that he is making a great living doing what he loves to do, Ray's channel is not a how to be rich channel that is Brian's, Rays channel is how to make a living doing what you like to do and be a 1 man show, 1 owner.

Money is a new concept to him. That’s why he feels the need to flash it to viewers. As my grandmother would say “He’s tacky”. It also isn’t G status when it takes a person 10-12 years to get his first skid steer “Bobby”. That’s easily acquired in 2-3 for most. A “G” would have the revenue in year one. A “G” (with a helper) can easily generate $250k-$300k a year. Ray isn’t even close. Good for him for carving a path but he’s no top dollar earner.
@@bettercall-paul I have never got the impression that Ray is flashing anything, sometimes when he gets mad he vents, Ray is one of the most real youtubers on here that really show the good and the bad that happens to him, most people only show the good and only show all the things that go right , Ray was a lawn mowing service that figured out that if he added things to his tool list that he already had clients for mowing that needed other services, Ray does not have to do anything other than mow to make a living but he does.
