That old paved road you crossed is old hwy 50. If you follow that road east it will take you to the old ruins of a bridge. I ride out there a lot on my dual sport but I’m starting to explore the hiking trails out there. Thanks for the videos.
I was lucky to climb to the top before they closed it...I did some segments of the North Loop, I pondered doing an outlaw campout on that loop a few yearsa ago..I need to get back out on that trail.

I camped at a really nice campsite just south of clay sink road
There is a back country campground about halfway around the north loop that wasn’t on the map.
hopefully they create several wildlife crossings for state road 50
