      @TheTwinPost  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Nishant.... thankyou for the kind words.
      The stock mirrors are just ok...I mean they get the job done but I would've preferred something that would be more stable at high speeds becuase these tend to vibrate a little... Not too much but just a little and the reason that may feel bothersome is because the bike is smooth and somehow the mirrors are not. A good quality touring mirrors would make things a lot better though.

    Thank you for the information.
    I just have a few questions regarding the spoke wheels. How well the bike can perform with the stock spoke wheels? Does it get punctured too much or not? And is it beneficial to use the puncture proof paste to use tubeless tyres or completely change them to alloy wheels?

    • @TheTwinPost
      @TheTwinPost  Před 2 lety

      Hi there, spoke wheels perform better when it comes to takling bad roads as the spokes act as a cushion and instances of bent/cracked rims are far less comparatively.
      I've been using tubeless converted rims for almost 3k kilometres now and haven't faced any issues with it. The only flaw would be that the spokes cannot be adjusted in case a need arises... For that to be done the kit will have to be re-applied.

      I've done a tubeless mod....but by 'puncture proof' if you mean things like the 'Formula-X' then I've personally have had a bad experience with it. One of of my friends who recently got a tubeless conversion done was earlier using formula-X i.e. until he got a puncture... The solution did absolutely nothing.

    • @TheTwinPost
      @TheTwinPost  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Vijay... For luggage
      With a pillion: You can opt for a saddle bag like the Rynox Nomad-2 which is designed for motorcycles with upswept exhausts...it fits Interceptor easily.
      A top box from Shad would be really convenient for storing your electronic devices since it's completely waterproof.
      Without a pillion: You can go for something like a Viaterra Claw Bag which has ample amount of space for your typical long rides + the top box I mentioned above.
      You can go for a tank bag as well although personally I never use a tank bag because I have an OCD of it causing scratches to my bike's fuel tank.... but it's totally upto you.

    Ninja300 or Interceptor ??? Which one is best to you??
    Requirement = attention as a premium bike/ primary bike..

    • @TheTwinPost
      @TheTwinPost  Před 3 lety +2

      Ninja300 is a proven product and its been polished and improved year over year...so its a much complete product.
      It's a sport tourer though... and with a 17 litre tank you can literally go anywhere without taking extra fuel along.
      Catch is the comparatively committed riding posture....though nowhere near as agressive as a ktm RC.
      If you can live with that riding postirt...and a non-existent pillion seat then sure it's a very good option.
      The best part about the Interceptor is its low end torque...it pulls really hard without even twisting half the throttle. This on the Ninja is different....you need to twist the throttle and rev hard to extract power and once there you'll have a blast...it's super fun at high revs.
      If you're planning to ride alone and want a PREMIUM product then yes Ninja would be great for you... Interceptor is not a Premium product....it's a good bike but not Premium.

      Okh let's come to the point...I want attention on public road coz I'm spending 3L+ but I guess both Int650 & Ninja300 can give me that attention...so comes to the next part ...if I'm looking from Performance perspective which one is great i'mean..which will throw me back by its pull & thrust coz I need that kind of thrust for adrenalin rush.. initial punch n all are extremely necessary so Ninja300 or Int650 coz I heard that Ninja is slow & lazy on initial & mid range...???

    • @TheTwinPost
      @TheTwinPost  Před 3 lety +1

      Talking purely about acceleration Ninja has all the power up in the rev range....if you ride it in low revs you won't feel the pull.
      Interceptor pulls right from low end....but doesn't rev high... So instant acceleration wise you'll feel the pulled-back feel on the Interceptor.

      Also, what I meant was that it's not ideal for offroading... I've made that edit in my original response.

    Dominar 400 vs interceptor 650 which is best for touring

    • @TheTwinPost
      @TheTwinPost  Před 3 lety +1

      Being a Interceptor owner....I won't be biased.
      In stock condition....the Dominar400 is better suited for touring... Interceptor is basically a street bike and requires few basic modifications to make it a touring machine.
      On the other hand Dominar comes out almost ready for touring because of high handlebars and seating posture... All it needs is a tall visor and saddle stays and it's ready to munch highway miles.

      I would advise to go with interceptor as the engine is more relaxed compared to high compression Dominor engine. High compression engines are a touring nightmare as they are subjected to more wear and tear compared to long/medium stoke engines. So in long run, Dominor engine will deteriorate faster.
      Also consider the service network and availability of spares into consideration. You can find RE outlets on NH everywhere you will go.
      And if you consider the resale value, RE will make sense. And there is always a difference between Bike bought vs Bike built. Custom your bike as per your taste.

      Hi SKB....Dominar is a really good choice at almost a lakh cheaper cost...But If I have the money I would go for the Interceptor every single time.
      It's just that Interceptor is very good street classic.... It requires few essential mods like even the stock seat - Performance wise there is indeed no competition... The 650 rides in alot smoother and less stressful way.

      @@TheTwinPost I concur. My post sweet heart is Karizma R 2012 model on which I clocked more that 1.5L Kms. I kept it with utmost care you can think of. But sadly plastics don't age well. Despite of trying my best i couldn't restore its performance.
      My opinion is same for Dominor, it won't age well. For 2-3 years of use and abuse, it will be a no brainer though.

    All these ad on should be considered by the company instead. Interceptor has only one thing good which is engine. Else everything is...

      Meri bike ke mods se mujhe and mere partner ko long distance rides me help mil rahi hai and that was the intent of these mods.

      I would buy a adv in coming years and will use that for touring - and then I would make the Interceptor look as retro as possible because then I would only use it for city rides and weekend runs.
