I have one of these and enjoy it when I'm checking the hunting area that I goto. You might want to cut a piece of expanded metal that will fit in the altoid lid that way you could give it a bit more stability. Thanks again

    👍👍👍 .. nice 😊.
Yes, it's based on the Swiss Army M32 Canteen with Cup. In the case of the Swiss Army Version, the Cup is of Aluminium and the Canteen, Metal Enamelled with the obligatory Cork and String. I 'don't' (?) think that the Cup was originally designed for boiling water .. a wee bit too narrow and thus unsteady on it's feet for my liking. But yes, possible. I would look to a pot stand in which the cup would be 'cupped' for more stability. The Esbit Folding Stove in the 'half' position should also work.
I have the Swiss Army M84 Canteen with it's 400ml Aluminium Cup. The Canteen holds 800ml, is made of a very heavy duty Polymer Plastic (it's Swiss 😏) and with the Cup Base being slightly wider, more Pot Stand friendly. The Cup works well over Alcohol, Gas, White Gas and Wood Burners. I don't use Aluminium 'in' a fire .. 'over' a controlled heat yes, but not in.
Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to the next episode and until then, take care ..

Seems like a pretty good idea for minimalist camping. The stove looks pretty functional, but it seems like a windscreen will be needed for it to function properly in the field. I think if you Create a windscreen that is flexible enough to wrap around the stove and sturdy enough to hold weighted cook kits, add cross bars or some kind of mesh screen on top of the windscreen and there you go. Make them and sell them to through hikers and make a nice profit off of it. Cheers!

Thanks, it defiantly needs a wind screen, I overlooked it, I always use wind screens (outdoors). In my part 3 video it showed in that after 2oz of fuel I did not get a boil, not even close. I've since corrected the problem 🙂

Instead of the piece of foam. Couldn't you use a bandana/handkerchief between them? They are useful to have on hand and are multiuse.

Yes, good suggestion. It didn't come to mind for me since I've carried a handkerchief since elementary school. 🙂

Great kit, I have one. I'm not sure of the availability these days, Most of the great kits are getting hard to find and expensive.
