Looking Back At Mortal Kombat With Paul W.S. Anderson, Linden Ashby & Robin Shou - SYFY WIRE REWIND - Zábava
I really love the fact Linden and Robin have this awesome bromance thats still going on.
I really love how you're corny
When Robin talked about his friendship with Linden I had goosebumps, so happy for them.
25 years later still a classic
Forever and always 👊🏼
You mean Klassic
@@janduchovniugale6125 of kourse
Yes
well it cant get any more new......it just gets more klassic as it ages
When I was a little kid, I probably watched this on vhs damn near everyday, I could recite the movies entire dialogue. Such an awesome flick to just kick back to
Same. We'd watch this after class and I wore the VHS tape out lol
I swear I broke my tape from rewinding it so much it got all scribbled up.
You too ? 😂
Would be nice to see those actors get at least a cameo in the reboot.
That would be so cool🤔😮
Hear hear
unfortunately it didn't happen seen the reboot to be honest I was not keen on it
@@chriswilliams8121 I'm glad they didn't it was AWFUL
The reboot seem to lack a budget with you saw with locations script and pacing, it was just to be used as a jumping off point for a actual MK movie (think Mortal Kombat Rebirth to Mortal Kombat Legacy) the movie was good with what budget they had so now I can't wait to see a full fledged version
We got a final EYDK and an awesome interview. Stop, my heart can't take it
The movie never gets old and it still holds up today.
I need Robin Shou in MK11 😍
I’m not a fan of Paul films . But Mortal Kombat is a great film to watch. And I’m glad that the actors had a great time making it
Same here
the only films of his that I dig are Mortal Kombat and Event Horizon
I think this Mortal Kombat would have been absolutely perfect if it only had gore and brutalities
Huge Thank You to Paul Anderson for the best film ever and for inviting such actors!)))))) So precious!
This movie is near flawless and was a huge part anyone that grew up in the 90's. The franchise was counter culture and Paul Anderson did a great job encompassing the spirit of the game in the movie. That is something that is NEEDED for video game adaptation films.
Thanks a lot. It is a big pleasure, to see Paul, Linden and Robin, sweet nostalgia, from my teenage years. Paul, please say hi, to your wife and our famous slavic actress, Mila Jovovich.
Mortal Kombat(1995) is my favorite video game movie alongside street fighter II the animated movie,Sonic the hedgehog and scorpion's revenge
Street fighter 2 the animated movie was one of the greatest films my mom brought me then 2019 I ended up buying the DVD uncut version
@@thataurus2492 That film was way better than the live-action one.
Lmfao looks like Robin and Linden traded hair
I've been a fan of the franchise since the first Mortal Kombat arcade in 1992 was released. The first MK movie was an instant favorite of mine, and to this day it's one of my favorite classics! I am so happy the actors became such good friends while making this awesome film, and still celebrate its greatest with the fans all these years later! It feels almost strange saying that, because the day I seen this in theaters on August 18, 1995 is so memorable for me. Has it really been that long ago? So nostalgic looking back. I know there is a reboot coming out on April 16, 2021, but the original will always be special for me just because of how big it was for me at the time I seen it. Awesome interview!!!
95 is still the definitive MK movie. Big part of my childhood and i still watch it on the occasion and love every second of it
Why does this not have more views. This was the best video game movie ever.
“This is where you fall down.”
This was awesome. The chemistry is still there. Here's hoping they show up in WB's Mortal Kombat next year (and Robin gets his Liu Kang skin in MK 11!)
I really hope robin shou gets a lui kang skin because hes definitely one of my favorites
@@TheBbrian100 He IS Liu Kang. He deserves his own skin I'm so shocked he wasn't one of them. Maybe he didn't want to see himself getting dismembered
This MK is OG , the new one can’t even touch it ... love this and loved 1995 dang , loved these actors that played them , still have the mortal kombat VHS
This is great. Can't get too attached or it'll get cancelled 😩
Loved this movie as a kid, still love it today. Happy it's getting so much loving from the newest game, with the original actors doing voices for it. Looking forward to the new one next year, but this will always be the GOAT. Paul, Robin, linden, christopher, Bridgette, cary, trevor, you will always be my kombatants of my ❤
Thank you for do this!🥺💕
Linden ashby is absolutely awesomely funny amazing actor playing the best Johnny cage ever my favorite scène goro vs Johnny the best fight scène the Johnny we always remember forever # 1 block buster mortal kombat 1995
The new mortal Kombat is going to have to exceed the original movie. It’s going to be a high bar. I still watch the old movie and clips of it on line.
I liked the movie but I dont think it exceed the orginal. But maybe the sequal can since the sequal and mk 95 are both going to be the tournament.
Not even close.
Truly great interview, and great job guys! I so loved this movie as a kid and it’s so cool seeing the actors loved it too! Like they said, it was a huge part of my childhood and really did improve my life watching! Thanks again for the interview, it brightened my day!
OMGGG I needed this!! This movie is still my favorite since childhood!!
Awesome interview. Thank you
This is FREAKIN AWESOME!!
They all look great man im soooooo glad they were apart of my child hood I was born 4 years before this movie was made I didn't get a chance to go to the movies to see this but I had it on vhs and I watched it over and over
MK 95' still is a great movie! Thanks to everyone involved
I love this actors. Mortal Kombat Forever.
Robin!please come back for this Movie pack 2 skin
The enduring love for this movie evident on CZcams is so impressive
This was epic
Legends
Oh, I'm a Robin fan, thanks for making this video.
Where can I follow Robin's official account?
What a great video. Wish they all would come back for a real sequel.
That was cool to see. Such a great movie. I wish Trevor was still alive. Kano is my fave alongside JC and Reptile.
how did he die
@@SuperPeterok Drug overdose i think
my all time favorite since child hood
I love this just melt my heart ❤️❤️❤️ my first action movie that I love
I was 6 or 7 when the movie came out so this was my introduction to Mortal Kombat been a fan ever since.
Linden looks good!
I love the movie and I love the cast!
Still love this movie, to this day. Thank you for the interview :)
Please don't let this segment go away.
Not much pacific islander representation with main stream channels :(
I was play mk in nintendo and movie in vcr at only 8
They all seem very nice.
That frost cosplay though 🤩
Even if Mortal Kombat (1995) was rated PG13 it still hold up til this day as cult classic. This prove to be video game masterpiece unlike the super mario bros or any other bad video game altercation. I'm super excited for the new Mortal Kombat coming out in April 2021 hoping this is one is going to be Rated R.
Such a shame this cast never got a proper trilogy. I wish Paul would’ve stayed on.
Sheriff Stilinsky
25 fkin years feel like yesterday
The OGs from the OG
Was there anything more to the Brandon Lee comment? It just seemed like the video just cut to Robin Shou. But I was happy that the question was at least brought up
We need a movie with the og cast and director
I still remember when Paul had to rewrite Scorpion and Subzero because he had written them as friends and when fans complained, he changed it.
ROBIN CUT HIS HAIR!!! 😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Can I have UHD remaster of MK95?
Also Sonya vs. Kano is my favorite fight in the movie.
I need to say two things.
OMG I did not know Robin Shou changed his hair to spikey looks good on him
7:38 Why do I feel a Star Wars reference right there
3:39 Robin made me smile at that and Paul did as well
No classic Cameos in the new MK movie? Love the classic!
This Fight Scene will always hold the time. Because they choreographed well, they were editing well and they were shot well.. Thats ll u need. Jason Bourne fight scene will not hold the test of time,, because the camera was shaking too much. Martial arts Momvements has to be seen clearly in a movie.
Depending on who you believe, the JCVD-Cage connection may be half-myth. If I remember correctly, Daniel Pesina says that Cage in the game was at least partially inspired by a comic book character whose name I cannot remember although the legend about the JCVD game etc. being under consideration at one point in time has not been refuted to my knowledge. There are many interviews of Daniel on CZcams so perhaps someone can look that up and elaborate.
🔥🔥🔥👊
mortal kombat: my anti-drug.
RIP Brandon Lee
As much as i love Scorpion...I'd have to go with Liu VS Reptile as the best fight in the movie as well as my favorite :)
WHY THE MUSIC - IT'S LOUD AS THIS TYPE LOL
Linden Ashby
The only MK movie that actually worked .. ❤
Save EUDK or give Juan a motherf-ing podcast!!!
Why did this show have to end?!
Why can't they get Sonya for these?
Robin Shou should be in the next John wick!!!
silent hill and mortal kombat are the best video game movies
Mortal Kombat was not a great video game adaptation it was actually very cheesy but it became such a cult classic that the video game characters really became the actors that portrayed them especially Kano.
Bridgitte Wilson is the pretty classmate who married a rich guy and doesn't hang around with her old friends anymore. Tagawa and Lambert are just too old for this.
Thankfully, Ms. Wilson isn't "resentful" of her role as Sonya.
😮😯😲😍🤩😊
💕💞💕💞💕💞💕💞💕💕💞💕💞💕💞💕💞💕
I went to see this in the cinema with my mates and then went back again twice myself because even at a young age I was a g. Robin doesn't look 60 !
It seems exciting but I’m not going to hold my breath...
Honestly never really liked liu kangs character until the 95 movie. To me, everyone in that movie is the real character they're playing. I think of mk and its the 95 cast everytime.
I will only say Liu Kang vs Reptile......
0:04 you're joking right?
Robin shou does not look 60!!
This is so much better than the newest movie, that one wasn't,t great, pretty boring by comparison.
Im MK4 pro
Actually Brandon Lee was suppose to play Liu Kang
It took a lot of time, money, effort, and people to make a scene all about Goro getting punched in the balls. Think about that.
Cancel Mortal Kombat 2021
Make MK 3 with og actors
You don't start a video praising the first Mortal Kombat movie and their actors, naming video game movies that sucked, and on top of that calling them 'pretty good'
'Tomb Raider' and 'Resident Evil' WERE good.
😓 Not gonna defend 'Silent Hill' though...
This guys is an dumb shot to say that resident evil movie was a good game...but NGL I liked the mk movie
0:05 "all pretty good"
Literally none of those movies are good.
Paul Anderson, you are Legend! Thanks for the movie mortal kombat🥹
