  • “I think I enjoyed working on Cruella more than any of the others. She also operated without magic, unlike characters in Sleeping Beauty, Alice, or Cinderella. She was just a nutty woman [who] had no realization whatsoever that she was cruel… She’s pure evil, and that’s what makes her interesting.“ - Marc Davis
“Betty once described the part as ‘campy’ and that she never realized until years later that despite Davis’ efforts in toning Cruell’s scariness down, her voice, still managed to terrify almost a whole generation. Betty said she found it hard to believe when fans would tell her how much she scared them as children with her portrayal, because to her, the part was fun and relatively tame compared to other villains/villainess of the day. She said Cruella never frightened her, so she didn’t believe she could frighten anyone else.” - Dr. Lona Bailey from The Voice of Villainy: The Betty Lou Gerson Story
Many thanks to ‪@FreshlyPickedYT‬ for the adorable Rogue Mickey Anaheim backpack featured here! It has so many interior pockets to hold all my park necessities, and was the perfect style to match my Disney bound (which was either Minnie Mouse or Cruella depending on how you viewed it 😂) #gifted

I never saw her a a villain as a kid. I just always thought “wow. Why won’t they just give her the dogs? She just wants to make some money”😂 idk why. Younger me was kinda a sociopath😂

Cruella de vil is a pretty tame villain. Only animals with beautiful fur find her scary 😄

No that was Medusa and Milt Kahl. Marc Davis had a lovely wife named Alice Davis who wasn’t anything like Cruella 😂

Her personality was largely that unnamed fashion designer who didn’t really care about anyone in the room and was “extremely volatile” as Marc put it. Some of the personality also came from the orginal book the movie is based on called the Great Dog Robbery by Dodie Smith

The director liked that name more I suppose 🤷‍♀️ Both her husband and her publicist were against it.

@@amandalorian8317 sorry what 😭 'men and their endless audacity'?? This is because of one bad director, and the video doesn't even say if they're a man or not

A few years ago I saw a shop on Main Street decked out selling white and black spotted fur coats for girls.
Do you know about this product and weather or not it was popular? Isn't that supposed to be evil?
