Yea Nishiguchi getting demoted and transferred to a different department was the right punishment. Sure the things he did would result in him getting terminated, but remember this is Japan not the States. In Japan companies don't fire employees unless they done something so horrible that there would be no public backlash of them firing the said employees. Japanese companies usually transfer the problematic employees to a different position where they have no chance of getting promoted or getting their original position back resulting in them resigning on their own as doing that won't bring any public backlash to the companies.
Call it a hunch…but I have a feeling Nishiguchi is a case of someone, who was hardworking in the past but grew lazier and lazier as he rose through the corporate ranks and instead started to rely on other people to get the job done more and more as time went on 😂 17:59
