I guess the name of the neighborhood you toured is Lithabaneng. In Sesotho "D" is written as "L". Lithabaneng means a place of hills. I'm enjoying the video from Pretoria, South Africa.

@29:40 The mountain ahead is blocking the view of the other one behind it. The name of the village is named after those 2 mountains. "Thaba" means "mountain". "Lithaba"(plural) - "mountains". "Lithabaneng" - "tiny mountains". The better view of them is @6:34. To be precise, the exact area is Lithabaneng, Ha Keeiso, Tsitsa. And there are other villages that fall under Lithabaneng. The lake @20:25 is "Mejametalana". Was used to irrigate the fields on the other side of it. Better view of the fields is @28:58, the open space right at the centre of the frame. It was a self-reliant project for food security that was abandoned by governments that took over from 1993.

Lesotho is boarded by three Provinces of South African, which are Free State in the North and West, kwaZulu Natal in the East, and Eastern Cape in the South.

When you said you were traveling to Maseru Lesotho 🇱🇸, never in a million years would've thought you would be walking right in my neighborhood. "Lithabaneng" is the name. This is where I grew up & still reside even to date. @28:58, the camera is looking at the mountains "Qoaling" in the middle, "Qoatsaneng" on your right, and "Likotsi" to your left, just popping up with its top. Man, I love my country to death, but would never accept the state of neglect it is experiencing in the hands of the useless, corrupt and pathetic leaders we've had. The rotten state of the pathways you're walking on is unacceptable, and i'm being diplomatic with words here. Nonetheless, I'll stop with the complaints and say I hope you enjoyed your stay.
I did enjoy my time in Lesotho, just a wonderful city Maseru, sorrounded by several hills. The people are so friendly! I will definitely be back.

All African countries are like that. Step out of the CBDs this is what you see. We differ in poverty rather than in riches. And it’s own making, 40-60 years after independence.
I lived in Lesotho for 3 years it is underdeveloped and it is ranked as one of the poorest countries in the world. There has been politically instability for years and half of the population live in poverty.

Shona and Ndebele are from Zimbabwe. Lesotho is for Sotho people (Basotho)
